The lyrics from Lit have a lot of onomatopeias, folklore and historic references and also is in full in Korean. In the official audio the door sound isn't there. And they have the rtk version in official platforms too Love that the quote "The Moon is beautiful today" is a reference to the fandom (To Moon), a famous quote that mean 'I love you' and is connected to the lunar phases from their 3 first mini albums (if you see the logo, the Moon is in different phases) and is connected for their storyline that all of their MV portrait ;) And yes, they made A LOT of changes in their new versions of Lit, in lyrics, instrumental, structure of the song adding and switch parts and also delet others. Even in live stages they switch parts and have super fun ;)
Lit has a lot of cultural references and things that don’t translate. If you are curious there’s a video “Oneus - Lit explained by a Korean” by DKDKTV that looks into all of that. As a longtime ToMoon, Lit was a memorable era because it was the first time that Oneus were able to show how much fun they were having on stage (because they had to have their serious faces on for Valkyrie and Lit). It was also their first time getting nominated for 1st place on a live show (and the begging of ToMoons and Oneus apologizing back and forth for not getting the win for the other). It was released in October of their debut year just before they had their USA tour.
Really enjoying watching you get to know ONEUS! Some context for these two versions - the Taekwondo version is actually the remixed version that they performed on Road to Kingdom! One of the goals for the remixed version was for everyone to have their own part to shine in so glad you took notice of that! Seoho was actually injured during the performance, which is part of the reason why they gave him a separate rap break but otherwise he doesn't actually sing in the remixed version (Keonhee has most of his parts from the original song, shared with Leedo). They've been primarily performing the RTK version of Lit since it was released. Both versions are available on streaming sites! The Taekwondo video was actually released to celebrate the Olympics (it was the version they performed at KCON this year as well). Also yes Keonhee will bias wreck you in every video - it's just what he does.
LIT, even after a year and a half and like 7 other MVs after it, is still the GOAT title track for me. When I heard Oneus was going to be on RTK I hoped and prayed that they would perform LIT and turn it into the spectacle I knew it could be. They exceeded every expectation I had, and it remains one of my favorite performances ever. It's so nice that even after so long they still give the song a lot of love. The door closing in the lyric video is because it's ripped from the MV. That long silence is not in the official release. For the lyrics of the song, there are a lot of nuances that are difficult to translate because most of them are in traditional Korean. Hard to do in a lyric video unless there are asterisks and translator's notes every few lines. There's a very comprehensive video DKDKTV did breaking the song and music video down and explaining all the details that are lost on those who aren't familiar with the Korean references the song is drawing from. Here's the link if you're interested: ruclips.net/video/ePIILLqWdF0/видео.html
aaa yay! i’m glad i’m early ish today! and yes oneus does so well with choreography and all those things! i recommend watching their group dance covers and individual dance covers as well they’re worth watching!!
I planned commenting on ur last oneus reaction to date to like summarize but I can't this sound u made after leedo's part in Taekwondo version got me laughing on the floor sorry thank u for all oneus reactions! planning also to watch all onewe reactions subbed✌
Oneus Reaction Marathon! It's my favourite.💖 "Gaja"!🔥 As many people have already said, lit is different from the official music video and Taekwondo version. The instruments, arrangement, distribution of lyrics, and even lyrics are slightly different. Thanks to this, we got rapper Seoho and more xion's line. So cool👏 (btw, the distribution of parts in the lyrics video(third one) is a bit wrong!) lit is a song full of very traditional elements. I recommend this video to help you understand. This is an analysis of the Korean elements of lit, and I hope that the confusing parts will be resolved! ruclips.net/video/ePIILLqWdF0/видео.html Thanks for Oneus reaction! they deserve this, and wolrd... PLEASE don't sleep them. They are most Talented in 4th(3.5?maybe?)Gen of Kpop😭❣️
Start the music, blow a flute. When the night with nice moon, the starlight is coming and light(?) us fully. (maybe it is more correct) um..... that is wrong lyrics.... find another one please.....
Thanks for the correction. Its not that big of a deal, and I can't "find another one" because....the video is already done lol. And becuase obviously, how am I to know its the wrong lyrics?
That is hanbok! Hanbok has long history, and there are many version. Hanfu is fake hanbok, made with polyester. Just cannot make that expression with china silk. And they don't have korean silk... Perhaps you know what 'made in china' means... Similar but not original. I can't speak eng well. So sorry..
