  • Hi everyone, my name is Cory and thanks for checking out my very first RUclips video that documents my art making practice! In this video I make a modern diptych that combines nature photography and oil painting. Watch me make the canvases, go on some photography adventures, and figure out how to turn them into abstract paintings! This was a really fun and exciting project for me to make that was inspired by my love for nature, history, and my home in California's central valley. I hope anybody watching enjoys seeing me figure out my art making process and goes away with at least a little spark of appreciation for nature!
If you liked this video and this project, check out my art portfolio website which goes into even MORE depth (as if 22 mins wasn't enough!). There you can see full size photos and some text about this project which I've called, Distant Horizons.
