If you think its easy to get passed those leading TKD legs think again. In this open floor format, it's really difficult to get past strong checking kicks and side/hooks kicks, off the leading leg. Some of these fighters have knockout power off the leading leg. What would alter the competition dynamics dramatically, and for the better, is if, you could grab legs, but then its a totally different competition also. For me, an improvement to ITF Taekwondo competition, would be moving it to the ring, but then there would be no comparison in the cost/logistics of setting up competitions accordingly. If I could make any change to the rules, in keeping with the current format, it would be automatic loss of a point for turning your back on your opponent. This would force fighters to clinch properly/side step with skill and open up far more countering.
This is Warren Vice. The golden boy of TAGB. One of the biggest dickheads you'll ever know. I used to go to these tournaments all the time and the black belts would fight last in the day. We'd all gather around and watch terribly biased decision always go Warrens way. He is very talented, there is no denying it, but he would be awarded wins he clearly lost so often. It was like the heads of TAGB were too scared to admit he could lose to anyone.
Ian LukeMitchell not being funny because i do somewhat see your point but in no situation would i claim warren is a dickhead. Where the refs bias towards him? maybe who knows but that’s not his fault if they are. Does he win fights he doesn’t deserve? Of course that happens to us all though. As for him being a dickhead I couldn’t disagree more spoken to him on several occasions and a nicer more down to earth guy you couldn’t meet. Just cause some members of the TAGB treat him like a Demi god doesn’t mean he see’s himself that way
Watching this clip does suggest a bias. Having shared it with other TKD practioners who are qualified judges, they award bout to guy in white. It's hard to appear objective in text. So please accept I'm only asking. Would you have Mr Vice win here? I've never met him. So not questioning his personality. Purely off this video, would you award him the bout? Cheers
That competition took place in Great Britain so You can answer this question yourself;) Plus the fact that the rules in TAGB are a bit different than in other TKD organizations. the referee does not have to give warnings or minus points for going out of mat ;) (i.e. running away) This is how I lost my fight in this competition for entering the finals;) Guess who;) With the English competitor;) The main referee was also an Englishman probably the rest too.
@@arta79tkd I used to be with the Tagb when I started my Taekwon-Do journey. Same rules for going outside the area and minus point when I was with them, unless they thing have changed. I just see poor reffing.
Huh... Didn't know you could lose by absolutely dominating a match and continuously running your opponent out of the ring 🤔 I mean, the guy in blue did have some very nice kicks but he used his legs far more for running away than kicking. I know this was 8 years ago but dude in blue should STILL be ashamed of himself for accepting that "win".
They do in continuous sparing which is done by adults and children who are black belt. However they don't in what it appears they are doing, point stop, which is done by executive (older competitors something like over 40) and children who are coloured belts. I think this must be an executive match.
Problem with some stars as they so called, they give in to them to easily and because they have been on the circuit longer then someone knew, they let them win and not the oppemt fighting against them, I have seen it in kickboxing, I got a point in at a fight night and it was not a score as it did not hot, the other girl fighting won because oh the club's are best friends, that is why I am her to g in to TAGB taekwondo and I will not take any crap, if I have to work hard to win I bloody well will.

not sure how the dude in blue won? do you get points for falling down, running out of the ring and calling your own points? if so, he killed it.

Keyboard warrior you are!! Warren helps everyone he can and is no mean a dickhead, if you feel that strong against him why are you watching his video?
@@scoobydoobydoooo I could not agree more!
Really!! Poor decision. What happened to minus points for falling over and running out of the ring?? Shocking!!

Miller real winner, Miller real World Champion..
Master Miller is my instructor I started out as a little dragon and now I am a recommended black belt and I’m nine he really is the greatest
Tagb always looking after their own, the other guy clearly beat Mr Vice-farcical!!
Master Steven Miller trained me to be the martial artist I am today. Remember sparring him everyday after class. He’s the greatest 🐐

do ITF dock points for leaving the ring, failing to engage or falling?
interested to know
cheers in advance
Anthony Russell it's TAGB (not to sure about ITF)
TAGB do ITF patterns and sparring though? So thought the same rules would be in effect?
They normally have very sound decision making until its Warren Vice in the match (the guy in blue)

I was there
Me too I’m with the team in white.
