  • One of my favorite 10s I’ve ever done at T-Wall. When I got off this thing on my onsight, my first thought was, how could anyone give this thing less than 4/4 stars. Best 5.10 at T-Wall!

There's not many things more satisfying than a cam fitting perfectly in a pocket.

Nice trad route with quite a run out on first cam, I would have placed 2. Nevertheless nice rock. Greeting from the Netherlands without rock.😀We got only rock in Germany with some cracks.

Man I got a whole bunch. The notable weird looking ones are totem cams. I also have dragonflies,dragons,c4s

Is there a motivation for you to always clip gate-facing-rock? Generally, I've been told quickdraws should be clipped back-facing-rock to mitigate risk of gate being pressed open against the rock.

I think it really doesn’t matter too much when trad climbing as most of the time once you clip something it’s out of your control when you climb above it. For sport climbing however, I think it may matter but I’ve never heard of a catastrophic failure due to this. Maybe it’s good technique and is marginally better but I’ve never seen something crazy happen from that. The only place I think it really really matters is clipping anchors as I’ve seen that first hand where under load a carabiner can stay completely open if it’s being driven into the rock. This could defiantly create some sort of catastrophic failure but that’s why we have redundancy and blah blah blah you know the deal with serene and that’s why we don’t clip one piece and go with it
