We had that happen, I will never buy faux leather again. We’ve had a leather one for 5 years now and I condition it several times a year & it’s going strong! Worth the money for me.

@@Thesimplistichome I am not saying that it absolute showing no wear but honestly it’s very minimal. If I can help it I will always have genuine leather. So easy to care for, I use the spray on conditioner & it is super easy to care for with any spills.

love all that you did in this video, my only difference is I prefer to have my curtains closer to the ceiling down to the floor to make the windows appear larger.

I used to think that vases had to be full and flowing over with florals and greenery and the 3,5 or 7 stems rule but I absolutely love the wispy one or two stems in vases now. I think it brings more of a statement and balance to a room. Your Fall decor is just so cozy and beautiful ❤

I love your home, so pretty! My daughter had a faux leather sofa and the same thing happened to hers. I'd stick with a good herculon material. We went everywhere last year and finally found something but waited 3 months for it to come. I still like my Flexsteel sofa the best of any we had. So comfortable, kid friendly, and lasted 20 years!!! It's pricey but well worth it! 🍁🧡🍂

Please also let us know about your search for a sofa! I am in the same position, looked everywhere, no luck. We used to buy our sofas from JCPenney and Macy's of all places--they used to sell such durable pieces in the day! We still have a beautiful sectional from JCP but it has seen somewhat better days. Pls. keep us updated!!

Your home looks beautiful, I love the colors & your design. We had a bonded leather that did the same thing as your sofa. Once it starts, it doesn’t take long to be destroyed! My cat did help it along a bit though! Your thrifted pots & crocks are awesome, great finds. Thanks for sharing!

The couch you have now is almost the color of my set, an off black. I really like it, it’s a true neutral, I feel like it’s more original, and I change the pillow covers often. I had a lighter one in the past and it was so hard to keep clean. If you like the leather look I also recommend you invest in genuine leather. My aunt has a leather set and it’s lasted years, expensive but worth it, comfortable too.

Hey, Nicole! I thought you got a new couch, and I missed the video where you announced it! I looked for a couch for 3 years before I found one I liked! So, good luck! I love the way you borrow things from your mom…such a sweet thing! My mom was not a decorator. She didn’t even have any wall decor…said it was easier to take care of! I’m just the opposite! I love your style so much!! I try to do decorate with less but I am crazy for antiques that I want to incorporate in my home. I live in a condo that vaulted nine ft ceilings and odd wall spaces if that makes any sense. I can’t seem to get things on my walls to where it looks good. Your living area looks just beautiful! The fireplace area would be my favorite too. There is something about a chair next to a fireplace that automatically says “ come sit a spell, warm up and read a book”. 😊❤😊🍂🍁

Hi, a couple of suggestions....hang the photos over the couch lower and maybe whitewash or paint the fireplace all white. The photos on the large white wall wall are just "floating"...I think it would look better if there were larger pieces closer together. Just some opinions.....

I'm not sure what part of the country you live in, but I'm in Southern California and Facebook marketplace has real leather couches posted for free frequently.

I didn’t stop going thrifting I just stopped working at the one I was at because I was expecting another baby and life was getting very busy for us. Now that my schedule allows for it I decided to go back. 🙂
