I saw _Tokyo Godfathers_ on DVD back in 2005. It was easily one of the funniest anime movies I've ever seen at that point, if not one of the funniest foreign films in general I've ever seen. Showdown, if you get a chance, you should check out two other works from the late Satoshi Kon, the director of this movie: his 1997 anime movie _Perfect Blue_ , and his 2005 anime TV series _Paranoia Agent_ . Both _Perfect Blue_ and _Paranoia Agent_ get REALLY surreal, though, as a warning.
Thanks for the recommendation! I'll definitely check out Perfect Blue and Paranoia Agent. Tokyo Godfathers was hilarious, so I'm excited to see more from Satoshi Kon.
@@PopcornReactionsI forgot to mention another anime movie from the late Satoshi Kon: his 2006 sci-fi/action movie _Paprika_ , which is straight-up bonkers with its surrealism and has been said to be the inspiration for _Inception_ .
GASP! Yes😂❤
HOLY CRAP! I was JUST thinking about this yesterday! STOP READING MY MIND!
It's amazing how sometimes our thoughts align with others! It's like we're all connected in some way.
