The 'NO' in NOMOS is where I'm at but glad people seem to love them. I would love an Oris Artilier Pointer Day (not date) with small seconds on leather if I can find a decent one 😍
Nomos are my favourite brand. I agree that it's fun. It has about as much utility as a moon phase. Few would argue that the moon phase is without whimsy.
I have this watch. The two date doesn’t bother me as I wouldn’t use the outer track to practically look for the date, but I would say that the diameter and lug size might have been better suited to size down as the dial space is fairly large in the white color variation. Otherwise, this watch has really grown on me!
Love Nomos, but I have to agree with the people who just don't see the point in having two dates. The only good thing about this in my mind is the older Tangente model may drop in price on the used market (It could also rise because of this though ha).
There's absolutely no point. But theres no point to alot of watch complciations except "because we can" and as long as it looks good and is fun, I'm on board
I don’t have any issue with it per se… but I also don’t see the need. If it had day/date with that look it could be very cool. But fundamentally it looks like every other Nomos, and like your camera guys said, there’s others I like more. I think nomos has the same issue as GS.. once you get one or decide on one. There’s really no need for that second piece from the same brand.
because they can! Which in all honesty so many corners of the market forget about experimentation now a days it's nice to see Nomos doing something a bit funky.
Boring German frisbees 😂😂 Kidding, seriously tho the peripheral date was the most interesting & cool thing they did, no one talked about it until now when they've disfigured the dial with a bleedin'hole, I did a whole post about it (ranting) Great movementthough, if you like 3/4 bridges...........
Feels bizarre to have 2 dates. A complication for an additional complication's sake. Like the tangente though. Just seems like they had additional movements to hand and wanted a quick win
The red marks use to be the main thing. now it just became useless. Following the Bauhaus idea of form follows function, where there shouldn’t be features without reason to be, the fact that we have the same thing twice is exactly the opposite. To a point where you will always see the numbers first and then the red markings, making the feature irrelevant. Being redundant is annoying. there is no need to show twice the same thing. I mean, repeating the same information over and over, without a reason. The fact that they are now showing the date two times... really unnecessary and only makes the dial busy. I think that redundancy is not something to be desired, especially coming from a Bauhaus influenced brand. In the end, after seeing one of the two dates, why looking for the second one? it is just redundant, and the repetition makes the whole design out of place. Just don't be redundant to avoid problems
okay but the ideas of bauhaus and the ideas of watch complications are entirely at odds, as complications on watches are almost always unnecessary. do you have the same complaints about any of their watches that aren't purely time? even a date is superfluous really. watch making is about interesting engineering and new and interesting ways of displaying information on ones wrist, this watch does that perfectly whilst still LOOKING minimalistic, just with maximalist functionality
@ every kids watch is either digital or has Arabic numerals, you’ll never find a kids watch with Roman numerals or just the indices. Watches look classy without Arabic numerals. Its like putting a bumper sticker on a Porsche.
@bobaboey not every watch needs to be super classy. The whole segment of sports watches for example. You really saying you wouldn't take some nice breguet numerals on a watch?
TERRYS HAND IS VISIBLE! PROOF HE EXISTS!
How do we know they’re not prosthetics?
@@modestzooanimal .............. DAMN IT
Thanks for sharing your honest feedback!
Thank you! We loved the watch!

Oris pointer dates are absolutely elite
The chapter ring date is very cool, but why have both??
There should be a '6' at 6 O'Clock!!!!
because they can! And I love that mentality
For me it's useful for the imagery throughout the month and where I am with work
Come on NOMOS, get into gear and give us a moonphase
THAT I'm excited for
Nomos are my favourite brand. I agree that it's fun. It has about as much utility as a moon phase. Few would argue that the moon phase is without whimsy.
exactly! no one gets a luxury watch like this for the utility!

it is a beautiful watch and honestly I loved having it for review !
Unfortunately I just can't get over the lugs on almost any of their models. God bless them for staying true to their philosophy.
Yeah 100% points for staying true to the vision!
In my opinion if it didn’t have the date at the 6 o’clock and only had the minute track date it would be so symmetrical.
that would be cool buuut! 2dates!
@ maybe a day date?
Love Nomos, but I have to agree with the people who just don't see the point in having two dates. The only good thing about this in my mind is the older Tangente model may drop in price on the used market (It could also rise because of this though ha).

@@WatchYourselfJorge True enough. Personally I'd rather they get rid of the big date and use the outer dial alone. I'd buy one of those.
I happen to love it!
I do too!!

I do sorta agree but I can picture myself owning a club AND a tangente
I love the watch exactly because first impression was why 2 dates, then it slowly made sense to me, so I bought it, hahha
it's just so FUN and interesting!
And I was concerned about their lugs 😂 wtf is this? Double dates…. Whyyyyyyyy
because they can! Which in all honesty so many corners of the market forget about experimentation now a days it's nice to see Nomos doing something a bit funky.
The red track does look great but It does feel like a wasted opportunity to go super fun and out there
I feel like they felt in the first version of this watch, the complication was enough, and they didn't want to go too out there with colour.
Boring German frisbees 😂😂 Kidding, seriously tho the peripheral date was the most interesting & cool thing they did, no one talked about it until now when they've disfigured the dial with a bleedin'hole, I did a whole post about it (ranting) Great movementthough, if you like 3/4 bridges...........
feel like we may disagree slightly on this watch lol
They are very nice, and very good, but their watches all seem to follow this one particular style.
Like a Bauhaus frisbee?
I like the consistent design language tbh
@ nothing wrong with it - if i was looking for that style then they would be it.
Feels bizarre to have 2 dates. A complication for an additional complication's sake. Like the tangente though. Just seems like they had additional movements to hand and wanted a quick win
Also classic glashuette lugs 😆It will always be the thing that stops me from getting this plus most glashuette based watches
many complications are just for the sake of it. like who the hell uses a moonphase
This is pointless, would have made more sense to make the outer ring function a GMT. That would be cool.
pointless yes, but still fun and interesting. sorta NOMOS' whole thing

Date on 6 is not for me.
And Arabic numerals are a no go for me. Roman numerals or no numerals. Arabic numerals are for kids.
why are they for kids? Does that mean an aquanaut is a kids watch?
