To those who may not understand what's going on in the trailer, let's break it down together. First let's look at our characters. We have a man and a woman, obviously a happy couple. But then we have them looking at themselves in the future. If we look at the detail we can see that both of the man and woman are hurt, judging on how they attack their opposite we can tell that the woman was more on psychical abuse and the man was on verbal abuse when they have their fights. The man is beaten up, scratched and wounded. Obviously from the woman that attacked him. Now we look at the woman, her hair is frazzled, eyes red and cheeks stained with tears. This indicates that the man deeply hurt her feelings with words. Based on what we learned we can tell that their arguments and fights have been growing more violent as time passes on, showing them on what they will become in the future. Hope this helps.

Here’s my unsolicited take on this after watching the video once, reading some comments and not fully agreeing. I see it as a couple’s argument shown through three variations, the first being the actual argument (more calm, with the toaster and the trappings of domesticity, not violent, just “having words” about something), while the interspliced second take is a visualization of the actual feelings of anger and the desire to hurt the other going on underneath, and the violence and devastation caused. The third take is how they see the destruction they are causing at the moment, with reaction shots of them watching their “monstrous” behavior in horror and regret, as they realize how they are hurting/being hurt by one another and how they can’t undo what they are doing. (This is akin to the feeling you might get when you say something really hurtful in anger and immediately wish you could take those words back and leave them unsaid.) I viewed the video as showing how the things said during an argument that from the outside looks mundane and somewhat calm (i.e. people not openly screaming at each other or being physically violent, but still saying painful, hurtful things) can inflict actual damage to the people and the relationship.
The thing is, that particular work is of a higher symbolic nature and the point is quite undeterminated (just like the ending in the Big Blue, European version (not the one for dummies), or like the ending of Kubric's 2001 Space Odyssea). The author probably has something in mind but to him what you may have in mind is superior. Your own imagination and what you project in it is more interesting. It makes it more creative. In that particular case what came to my mind was the paradox of libido, opposite sexes are attracted to one another for the benefit of the species, but for very short periods of time. Human society forcing them to live together transforms their lives into hell, into something degenerated. Modern society with its hysterical claims for women's rights made family structure impossible to maintain. Life is full of paradoxes. Don't try to solve them or think modern society has made any progress in that regard. Traditional values seem of greater help here. And anything we had before we even had traditional values seems of even lesser contradiction with life itself.
