Don't buy the supercub.
I have the blue one . I will keep it for ever.
🤣🤣 Favorite comment
God I wish they would sell em in blue in germany. We only get that ugly semi matte grey
@@stephenhauer9055 I am sorry to say, but you are just too late. They sold the red and the blue one for only about a year. The grey is the new model.
I have the red one (was also looking for the blue though), bought it used.
@@stephenhauer9055Worst colour definitely
@@stephenhauer9055 In LA they only have the Pearl Grey right now. I think thats a different color
As a young teenager in the early 70's, I had a c50 stripped of knee guards and sawn down mudguards ( fenders ) and I used to jump it up ramps etc and I just could not damage it apart from burst tyres etc. Many fond memories of this machine. Later i had a yellow c70 on the road.... just brilliant.... i would seriously think of a cub 125 now as a second bike to my 20 year old Fazer 600.
That's awesome. You should definitely add one.
In ‘73 I turned 14 and legal to ride a 50cc moped/motorcycle in France. All that was necessary at the time was proof of insurance. I had a Honda pc50 as my first bike and I beat the hell out of it😂 Who says you can’t trail ride on that thing?! Now I have a ‘21 super cub that I ride all over San Diego on along with 5 other bikes from a BMW, fz-09, crf 250r, crf450r, and a ct70. I’m 65 and have the same stoke since the beginning. I love my Cub
@@tomwagner6334 i remember the pc 50 well. Along with my C50 "off roader" I also had a Norman Nippy that I used to race round fields. Considering I had some serious dirt bikes later over the years I think the most true fun was had on these little stripped to the bone bikes.
So you basically made a Cross Cub before it was a thing hahah!
Great story , iv had hondas all my life and i am 74 and still have one , got my first one when i was 17,many moons ago now ,Honda is the best bike ever made and that comes with experience i can assure you . Bill.
That is great! Thank you so much for watching. I appreciate you
Lovely bike however, I've seen a youtube video of an updated version for 2024 sadly with more tech, blind spot warning and some other stuff, I really believe Honda should leave the Cub as simple as possible without keyless and without any other form of electronics. I bet in the near future they will replace the speedo with a digital screen !
People want simple, electrics fail and after x amount of years things like capacitors can leak and dry up and cause all sorts of problems and will people be able to get parts in 20+ years ? or do Honda want their bikes to be throw away bikes after 20-30 years like pretty much every car today ? most cars today won't survive past 15 years. Electric cars with their half depleted batteries giving quarter the range when new.
I don’t care in 20 years I’ll buy a new one
Your way of praising C125 is different. But I love it. Thank you.
Hopefully, it got some laughs out of you. Thanks for watching. I appreciate ya.
Was ready to close the video until I heard that first point. 😂 Well done. Very educational.
What a way to put it! I was laughing all through the video. Superbly said. So so true!
Thanks for watching. I'm glad you enjoyed it, and I appreciate the support.
I’m considering a trail 125. The trail is nearly the same bike, but has a physical key, a kickstart, large luggage rack, and I’ve heard there very slightly better put together to be able to handle off road. I would mostly use it on the road, but I like the features better. Very similar price as well. The electronic proximity key alone makes me not want to buy the cub. It’s a completely unnecessary possible point of failure in an otherwise bulletproof bike.
As soon as I can sell my 2002 BMW R1150R(with 15,000 mi.) I will consider getting one of these! (I'm 65 years young; But the bike just seems to get bigger as I get older, and I'm afraid I'm gonna drop it when I put it on its center stand... I want a Super Cub or the Trail 125!)
I want the trail ct125, but we can't get them here in Ireland 😢😢
I got a a 2987 Cub 90 when I was 18 here in Scotland, back in the tear 2000. Now, a ct 125 would be great, but don't underestimate where the standard Cub can get you off road. It's so light it doesn't matter that it's not designed for off road and it just chugs along whatever you are riding over.
The 2002 BMW R1150 is a great bike.
I love these review videos on these little, anemic scooters from guys that have had a history with big performance bikes. It adds credibility to the reviews, and underscores what a breath of fresh air these little guys can be if your goal is just to ride and have fun! Very persuasive......I may need to get a C125 or CT125 myself!
The cub is a nice bike, but I saw the royal enfield bikes in the flesh and for nor much more money you could have a really great looking sounding and much better performing bike. Not to trash the Cub, a lot of people love it but when you add up what you get for the money there's a lot of value in the Royal Enfield meteor 350 and classic 350.
apples and oranges ...
They are not for the same person
Travel with Super Cub is a man in Cambodia-he is obsessed with it too-he is the most convincing and I am thinking about getting any of the Honda minimotos, or Paggio scooters.
That's how I found out about iy
Re: too cool, my 207 Triumph Bonneville T 100 is an old man magnet also. Every time I park my bike at a store, every 65+ years old man tells me about their Triumph from the 1960s-70s. My Triumph does weep a tiny amount of oil.
Haha, so true.
Incontinent- see English motorbike
I have the same Cub you have.. and found this video to be HILARIOUS. 😂 You will get a ton of compliments, and the gas mileage is INSANELY great!
I’m actually in the process of changing my battery out right now. PSA try to remember to turn your key fob *off* when the bike is going to sit somewhere for 10+ days!
Absolutely love your nod to Daria, btw. 😂
Wishing you safe travels, brother! ✌️
Thanks for watching. I appreciate you! Glad you enjoyed it.
You hit the nail on the head!!! BTW, I own a Supercub in the same color, and a Harley Davidson Deluxe as well!
Thanks for watching. Hopefully, nobody gets offended 😅
@@Dailycozwerks What's your opinion on the Royal Enfield Classic 350?
I have a chinese knockoff of this bike and it's super reliable and it has 70k km and no issues so far. It starts everytime and i drove it for a continuous 400 km and it has no problem with it. So imagine what a genuine Honda would be.
The Chinese knockoff uses the same engine as the older versions of the supercub so that part will still be reliable for sure.
What’s brand of that bike?
@@dilshodkasymov2832 it's called Forza Mistral it's cheap and reliable. Still running fine as we speak. 81 k now
Little too much enthusiasm for me. I'm outtah here !
Relax... 😂
Doing my head in go have your dinner honda make the best motorcycle in the world
This review is a clever take but the guy sounds a lot like a DJ on AM radio
I wanted to hear his points but too much waffle😮
@@peakfreans68 I agree. I lasted a couple of minutes then turned the sound off.
Single seat, cast wheels disk brakes keyless ignition. are the things I hate. I know I am in the minority here but when you see the version sold in other markets, they just look so right with spoke wheels and a drum brake. They also get a two passenger seat that if you are a taller rider, you can slide back for a more comfortable riding position. Honda should offer that version here at a reduced price.
I had one in 1980, and I own a brand new one today. Amazing bike.
Fifth category of people who shouldn't buy a super cub: People who weigh as much as I do- You won't go very fast, and you'll look like an idiot doing it. Ask me how I know!
You probably had fun, though 😅
I have the grey and red one, I will never sell it, it’s the best bike I own by far and I own quite a few, it’s expensive but you get what you pay for
Completely agree! I wish more people realized how great it is.
had my honda sh50 over 20 years never lets me down or cost much to run got it second hand in jan 2002 family pet now yes i get other honda but not trading it in
a honda is for life not just a couple of decades
Why is it expensive?
Have a 2022 I put on my motorhome hitch carrier. Great little bikes, thought about a covered trailer for my Goldwing but backing a 30ft coach is bad enough at times without a trailer, thankfully it has a good full time rear camera for the 20ft blind spot behind it and I see from the back bumper to about 100ft behind me so I check in the cub going down the road.
Right on got one! Had two c90s in uk before wonderful machines!!
This review made my day, can’t wait to get my Honda cub
Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed it.
Hello from France, i discover you and i love your videos.
I have a question, can you push-start/bump start the super cub with this semi-automatic clutch? im looking for somethings who can start in every situation.
I know the trail 125 has a kick starter, but the trail 125 is not available in Europe
Thanks for your answer
Yes you can bump start them. It's very easy.
Love the looks of it, and it's history! Saw some beautifully restored Super Cubs from the 60"s in Vietnam. Just not sure about the minimal power. I'm over 200 lbs. And sometimes I like to ride with the wife on the back. She can't ride one by herself, or I would get two! Adding a passenger seat would further reduce the performance. Not looking for speed. If it could comfortably cruise with two up at 60, I'd buy it right now!
My first bike❤ lots of sweet memories.
It's an amazing one. Thanks for watching 💕
I think the best thing Honda could do with the Cub is to give it more power, 9 Hp in 2023 is just ridiculous, 15-20 Hp would be much better. OK for city driving it's all you need and in reality we're all driving much faster today than ever with much more powerful cars that can take bends at ridiculous speeds, we all should slow down more especially on back country roads. I think 15-20 Hp would be better for outside the city.
There are 184 cc kits with 28mm throttlebody
Best thing would be to have a CD125 with 4 gears and clutch.
My case might be isolated, but I kid you not I had to buy a reset tool just to do an oil change on my BMW. I got rid of the bike after that.
I'm a Honda fanboy now. Drive a Civic and a CB300F. Trading the bike in for a Shadow Phantom. Wife drives an HR-V. Sister-in-law drives an Accord. Mother-in-law drives a CR-V. All Hondas.
Is it possible to get Kick Start as an option on the C125? Like the CT125? It extends the useful life of the bike.
It is not, sadly. I guess they only thought it necessary on the more utilitarian model.
I have a 2021 and its a blast
Does it come with a tool kit?
Yeah, it's under the side panel.
Can two adults drive on it everywhere? Flat, hilly terrain, at reasonable speeds? Two adults say 160 to 200 kg additional weight in addition to this moped's own weight and the weight of the fuel. Is it recommended for 2 people and can a passenger's seat be ordered with it?
If you order the optional passenger seat and pegs it will handle a passenger just fine. "Reasonable speeds" is a matter of opinion though. Expect speeds of 35-45mph on flat and uphill. A little quicker going downhill, of course. Thanks for watching!
I also love this bike and I have the same one.
Greetings from Austria.
Danke fürs zuschauen!
Are we gonna get the Cub Cross?..
LOL. That's pretty good. I almost unsubscribed!. That's the bike for me. Love mine!
I'm glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for sticking around.
How does it feel to ride for over 3 or 4 hours? Get soreness
No soreness at all. The bars feel a bit buzzy after a while, but general comfort is no issue.
@@Dailycozwerksimagine if the guts of the rebel 300 was transplanted into it
@@jakewillits4678Take my 💵!
Clever video. I like the bike. I clicked to hear a serious comment. In that respect my time was wasted.
c'mon. You know it made you laugh!
I saw a question about a windshield, not sure if Honda has 1 im sure they could get 1 at their price. I got 1 for mine after market that mounts to the mirror stubs with adjustability and optical grade polylexan for about 85 bucks. Definitely made a difference in the amount of wind blasting your chest and above 25 light rain just hits the top of my face shield. And kick start is not an option for that model, yet anyway. Only con I have found with that bike.
I am a proud owner of the new Honda Dax ST 125, which has same engine and same semi clutch/gear.
Honda mini bike, there is no substitute!!
I wish we were getting the Dax in the US. I would be first in line.
I want to buy how could I get to buy
The world needs more humor like this. THANKS for the laughs!
Thanks for watching. I'm glad you enjoyed!
How do you know?
Well the price is super expensive. You almost can buy 250cc bike with that price. For Southeast Asia there is always alternatives. Honda EX5 & Wave 110 is a good replacement for Super Cub and they are way cheaper..
Greetings from Malaysia.
You can carry a takeaway on the left handlebar
I just bought a 2021 Honda Super Cub with only 213 miles obviously in perfect condition. I love it but I don’t like the sitting position is way to high and handlebars are low . I feel like I’m riding on a high chair. But it is super awesome
Glad you are enjoying it. It would definitely be cool if there was a way to raise the handlebars.
@@Dailycozwerks exactly but I absolutely love it
Ohhhh ... I get it now! The title says reasons NOT to Buy ... but you're really stating reasons why someone Should Buy this. What a crazy, mixed-up way to do a video. I had to watch it at least ten times before I figured out that you were just trying to be terribly clever! My hat is off to you Sir and to your comedic talent!
What is that you are sitting next to? A stove?
Do they make a wi d shield for it ?
Yep! Tons of options available on the WeBike Japan website.
Honda may be able to get 1 but at their price, I got mine for a 2022, aftermarket likely 1 of the same a Honda dealer could order mounting to the mirror studs, adjustable and optical grade shield for about 85 bucks.
I would have bought one, IF it was slightly more powerful. I ended up with a PCX 150 that easily runs at 55 to 60mph
The PCX is great, too! Congrats on the bike.
My 2022 does 55 easily could use a couple more horses, does take a little extra tine to get there, I weigh 165lbs.
The reason I am not going to buy one is because it is a single-seater without an inch of storage room for groceries etc. I am sure it is a good in-town commuter, but I think its utility ends there.
Well, in-town commuting is definitely what it is intended for. You could add a passener seat and storage via the aftermarket pretty cheap, though. However, if having to modify your bike isn't your thing, there's definitely better options out there for ya.
That’s more of a city bike , I prefer the trail 125 bike for my kinda off the beaten path riding .
Damn, it’s a beauty ❤🎉
Thanks for watching!
Bike is too small for all but the smallest people and the "handlebar" cannot be adjusted forward or back. It is economical but the tank is still small. That is a marketing fail as they could have given it a massive range. Shame they dropped the kick start because you cannot bump start a bike with an auto clutch. It should have been upgraded with a mono shock and then fitted with integrated hard panniers to make it super practical
I've got one and it is easy to bump start. Put in gear, press gear change lever lightly to disengage manual clutchm role forward and release, it is easiest bike in world to bump start
The clutch is centrifugal. It progressively engages as the engine revs rise@@nigelbaldwin752
lol, the ONLY real group that truly wouldn’t benefit from this bike that I can think of is interstate riders. This one can’t go highway speeds, right? Other than that, it’s one of the greatest, maybe the GOAT!
there is a reason this bike is the best selling bike in history.
100%!
I was hoping for some useful information in this . There was none . Some comments re the cost , ABS, over technical complexity , servicing costs would have been useful
I was hoping for a comment on how funny you found this parody video. I guess we are just both here disappointing each other...
You got me there
Thanks for watching. I hope you got a good laugh.
How bad is that super cub is and how I hate myself I shod boy super cub 125
Most Harleys get more MPG on the road than any car on the road.
not liking this review
You had me at “125mph…GROSS.”
Prefer the Trail 125. Es muy macho!
My Harley Davidson averages 52 mpg. And can be ridden on the freeway. I got it in beautiful low mileage condition for under $7,000, about what a new Super Cub costs once the stealer Honda dealer gets through piling on the fees. I don't want something that attracts attention. I am not an attention seeker. The Super Cub is an appliance. Nothing worse than a smooth, quiet, boring bike. There are two more problems you forgot to mention. At 6' with a 34" inseam, I don't fit on it, because Honda was too STUPID to put a full length seat on it. The other huge problem is the notchy, jerky, clunky, no clutch shifter. It is impossible to shift properly. Every time you shift it, it sounds and feels like something is breaking. Why oh why was Honda too STUPID to put a proper clutch on it? I don't think anybody is going to be using it to deliver noodles anymore.
Damn man... You are really mad at Honda 🤣
@@Dailycozwerks I have owned many Hondas. Honda has made a LOT of beautiful bikes. Now all they make is flat black garbage. I have owned three Rebel 250s, a Shadow 750, a Magna 750, and a Shadow Spirit 1100. Beautiful bikes. Bright shiny aluminum, and loaded with chrome. Now even the new Super Cub is, you guessed it, FLAT BLACK. With a tiny little seat that is too small for anyone over four feet tall, and the worst shifting transmission ever made. I own a beautiful red and chrome 2016 Honda Rebel 250 (I've actually owned three since 1985) that I bought on impulse after seeing the hideous abomination that Honda put the Rebel name on for 2017. Honda has gone down the toilet.
Buy one, ride it for all of your life - it will outlive you.
That's the spirit!
Ok youve convinced me not to buy one 😂 😅
Nice! On that tip! 😊
Harley owners wont like it. You dont have to carry a cleaning cloth and and back of spare nuts and bolts. You can also take a Honda out when it rains.
You are correct.
I've decided on this over the Trail...
Niiiice! You'll love it.
si quieren gastar mucha gasolina esta la motocicleta suzuki s40 655cc de carburador.
da de rendimiento 12km por litro o 25 millas por galón
HOW DO YOU KNOW?
I don't remember 😅
The Honda Future and Honda Wave in other markets are far better and come with underseat storage; all for half the price of a Super Cub.
In other words I should buy this bike as my first bike in blue...lol
Maybe...potentially... 100% Yes. 😏
@Dailycozwerks how much do you end up paying in total? Can I take it on highways in Virginia? I know freeways are a no.

Harleys get great fuel economy! Like 50 mphs!
Back to the future lol thanks.
A friend of mine wants the super cup
Hell yeah
Buy it if u want it , I did ?❤
😂 so amazed how good it is.
Yeah because it was made for Asian market. North American territory is too big for Honda cub.
In-City drivers have a EDD in super cubs. I can attest to the old men at gas stations thing.
You got the head on the nail.
私はスーパーカブ カスタム 50を使っています
It use 0,2 litre per 10 kilometers lol!
Very few available in northern ca
Very few available anywhere tbh. Not sure what is up with distribution, but they are super hard to find.
