    My wife's cousins works in China factory. Basically its like this. If ADIDAS orders the factory 50,000 unit, they will do 60,000 units. They will just do extras and sell it for their own profit.

      @odengerrard88 do you mean you believe or not believe this? Because this is truly how things work. And you can't blame the factory because Adidas made them sell below cost of manufacture. And instead of making an extra 10000 units to sell, it's more like the factory makes an extra 100000 units to sell. The 'unlicensed' sales are used to subsidise the 'licenced' sales so the CEO of Adidas can make millions in 'bonus'.

    considering companies try to cut costs constantly by moving production and using lesser materials, the older stock shoes from Shein may be better quality than the ones you can buy at the brand's sites right now.

    $70 for Sambas aint that cheap. Could find them on sale for lower if you look hard enough. IMO it's older original stock. It would be suspicious if they were selling for $20 or something too low.

    Same like Levi's jeans made in Indonesia. They made 100,000 pairs for Levi's for example, then the factory made around 120,000. The extra 20,000 pairs they rebranded as different brand like Beloit. Same jeans, same material, same factory, same batch of production, different name, different price. I have a "Levi's jeans" named Beloit.

      Same with watches. It's been like that since the 1920's rebrand. I have an old watch from a brand name called Handley. but inside it's a brand called unicorn. I find that anything called expensive always has a brand that uses the same produce but people don't buy it because it is classed as kid range

    • @samphyrz
      @samphyrz 10 months ago +48

      Yup, those shoes are called "fakes" because they have no logo on them. The thing that differentiate real and fake is just a piece of branding.

    • @keb8907
      @keb8907 10 months ago +7

      Yeah the difference between a counterfeit or knock off and some products is if it’s made by the same manufacturer but they just not authorized. They probably don’t have the right to produce and sell it because of patents, it’s not official but probably still a “good” product. But patents are also regional and hard and expensive to enforce. What might be protected in America might not be in Europe or Asia and even if it is you might not have the resources to pursue it.
      Counterfeit are made by someone else and always for and with cheaper materials.

      @Hhhh22222-wshien's business model started out as literally just a logistics and distribution company. Essentially, shein makes money from a small tax on sellers. They go to factories, and make lofty guarantees to the factory, regardless of how long it will take to actually sell the stock.

    Don’t be fooled by the recommended retail prices (RRP) of these trendy clothing items-you’ll never guess how low they can drive down the costs. Just yesterday, I bought two pairs of Adidas Team Court Shoes from their official website’s clearance sale-the same ones you compared in the video originally priced at £110. After stacking official discounts and a partner cashback promotion, I paid only **$64 AUD total** (that’s **$32 per pair**), **including shipping**!

      @Hhhh22222-w 10 months ago +1

      Especially for electronics, but that's to be expected, shein isn't marketing itself to Asians, retailers already pay very low prices for logistics from China and oftentimes you can order the products directly from China, compared to the EU or US where logistics cost way more.

  • @Ne0LiT
    @Ne0LiT 7 months ago +10

    Well, this is classic in any industry really. If you go to your supermarket late at night, like 1-2 hours before they close, you will see many meats, vegetables, foods and pastries on insanely low prices. Like literally some price you'd never even see on a promo. They're trying to get rid of old stock, to sell the fresh stuff tomorrow(cause some of these are very short lived, so even if they're perfectly fine for consumption and can stay another few days, on the outside you can start noticing that they're not fresh, so this needs to get disposed of somehow, and obviously it's better to sell it for cheap, rather than throwing it away). Same thing happens with clothes, if you visit around and start paying attention, you will find many clearance sales. What is left over from them, can go even cheaper elsewhere. That's how some places can sell clothes from an old collection(say 1-2 years ago) for half or less than half the price the product would have costed just 2-3 months ago. They just wanna get rid of the stock. Sometimes these stocks end in the hands of other resellers that then bump up the price a little so they can make profit on it, but still sell for less than the newest version of this same product. I don't see much harm in this practice when it comes down to clothing really.
    P.S - before anyone asks how they can sell brand new models for cheaper than retail, remember that prices are not the same in every country, another very common practice. Resellers buy in big quantities the product from a less fortunate country, for a price lower than what the retail goes in other more fortunate countries. Then they sell the product for a price still lower than what most people would pay in their country.

    The company i work does most of it's production in China, the thing is, most "fakes" are made in the same factory as the original one, it's like, 9-5pm they make the original ones, and after 5pm they start making the "fakes", same factory, same materials, same everything. Most people are unaware, but Adidas, Nike, and many other brands don't own factories; instead, they purchase production time in existing factories, so a lot of times products from different brands are made in the same factory.

      @NikNePrydumavwhether it's china, Vietnam or Pakistan.. the factory still does this.. Adidas pays them in euros or USD, which in a country with very high daily inflation, is a blessing... But they pay under market rate, so the factory still churns out extra pairs, then they sell those to distributers week list them on places like shien or temu where they can sell em worldwide to people with expendable income.

    I bought an adidas from a sports shop and the other from adidas store, the former had glue stain and cheaper the later clean and nice, I ask the seller and were told even the original have grades, that’s explained the price different other than old and new stock

    Yes, its just because of stock
    We had in Ukraine full official adidas/rebook store with ONLY stock items that sometimes even cheaper than in US/EU

    Have you checked the product/style codes on the trainers? Do the tags match the inside labels? Had a chat with anyone else about the trainers and look and feel etc? Be great to see other trainers bought and compared!

    How much is the shipping though? It probably brings the price back up to normal or above normal.

    I think you should have tried them on to compare sizing and cushioning. They could be pairs that "fell off the truck"

    I just seen retro Jordans on there and they’re charging $400+ depending on the shoe. They better be real 😂

    Brands don't allow their shoes to be sold on Shein because they can't ensure these shoes will still command their intended premium pricing. Cheaper shoes are a threat to their traditional retail channels. That's it, it's that simple.

    i think you messed up with the additional footage of the box for the Wonder Runners @ 11:04 cause the box is for the XLG Runner and the shot @ 16:43 is the same one ;)

    I worked in Tile and Marble industry and anything that didn’t pass our extra specifications and standards was sold off to other vendors and they sold it cheaper. Long term quality is where we could tell the difference and during installation. Not sure how it translates to shoes.

    You should've wore one of each pair on both feet to see if they feel the same when walking & running.
