I never actually thought a graphical tutorial without tweaking the configs would be enough. Not only did it fix the blurry textures but I think I got more fps and fixed the stuttering without sacrificing my ultra textures for more MSAA
Well, its impossible to get more FPS if you multiply your native res by 1.125 but its most definitely gonna decrease the FPS.
@@META313.you missed the part where he said he’s on 1440p but runs the game in 1080p. Then he upsamples the resolution scale to mimic 1440p but it uses less memory = higher fps
@@ShanyeSoT It uses less memory compared to native 1440p for sure, but uses bit more memory than 1080p so fps will be lower than native 1080p
dude good shit, the taa sharpening completely changed the game. for some reason i wasn't paying attention and thought it said TAA intenisty or something so i had it all the way down. so glad i stumbled upon this video it's night and day the difference it made

This is only way to fix rdr2 blur
TAA on medium is actually better looking than TAA on high, makes it a lot less blurry. Also throw in FXAA to help out with anti-aliasing and youre golden.
My TAA on medium is broken :/
or just DLSS Ultra Quality with DLSS tweaks
or just use msaa x2, it run like shit on low end gpu but you can lower some setting to balance it

I have the same problem I can't figure out the solution
Maybe because of dlss?

Tree quality on ultra may help, as tree quality controls the LOD and quality of all vegetation but mostly trees.
this made the game so much better and actually playable, thank you.
Good one. Finished the game on PS4, bought it again on pc for better graphics and performance but it bothered me. Much better now.
If you have a nividia card try activating the filter sharpening+ put it on +10 and +10 made the game alot better for me
nice vid, makes a difference. i use these as a baseline to get the fps then tweak, my game looks and plays so good now. ty.

I don't know why but vegetation in days gone and Assassin's creed 3 looks blurr. It worked fine but after few weeks it happened. I uninstalled and reinstalled my graphics driver still nothing happens.
I'm on a laptop with a 1080p screen, but still with 5/4 resolution scale now my game looks amazing! Even if i've lost 10ish fps (from 60 to 50) i really enjoy the game much more now, even if it's a bit less fluid, thank you!
Bro i enjoy it at 1.75x resolution scale at 1080p with 35 fps and it looks like heaven 😂
Its basically 3360x1890 res.
35 fps is pretty fluid when you get used to it in like 35 seconds or so.
I downloaded the game yesterday and I was wondering why it was so blurry. Currently using a i5 11400f and a RX6600XT, game is looking amazing and I'm between 65 and 75fps. Thanks a lot for your help!

I was having a problem with the hair, but now its so muuch better, i was looking for silver and i found diamond, thanks a lot
I just now realized there is actually a sharpening slider ingame. I feel kinda dumb now
Bro it's not only based on graphics settings, while sometimes climate changes will also look like that blurry visual appearance...

Been trying to fix this for months, thanks alot mate 👍
You helped me a lot. I am playing RDR2 on 1080p res. and it always was blurry and now it is fixed. Thanks!
im about to go try it! thanks for sharing, im def gonna give a thumbs up!
**edit** fixed so much of my struggle, couldn't be happier it's been so much better since then
Thanks bro I just got Rdr2 and I was just looking for this video
Thank you so much I got my settings on ultra and my game was looking bad until I find this video THANK YOU SO MUCH
Hey bro. You really help a lot!! The graphics are much pretty and it seems that the fps doesn't dropping anymore. Thank uuu🎉
Some of these new games have way too much crazy crap going on with the graphics. My game looked awful on some pretty high settings, turns out TAA was on high, Then you got DLSS and FSR, all three of which make your game blurry an then try to sharpen it. For me the game looks orders of magnitude better with all of that OFF I do occasionally use FSR if I have frame rate issues
FSR with max sharpness looks great for me
@@LocksVid I'll try max sharpness. fsr does look better than dlss in this game

Your welcome Bro...and yes why not
This works and the game is a lot smoother now, thanks!!
I left the in game settings on the default with TAA high . Then on the nvidia control panel I put sharpening on 50 and ignore film grain on 0 . When I run things in the distance blur but gets clear gradually when I stop . It's not perfect but that's the only solution I found without messing with the framerate or using ansel . Ansel causes stutters every 60 seconds anyway so it does more harm than good
put taa to medium it looks better
I set sharpening to half of slider looks pretty good without resolution scale with no fps lost
What happens when you max out the slider does it kill FPS?
@@vitoconigliaro7926 sharpening dont affect performance but more than half looks strange and when you max out its looks terrible especially trees looks like were made from paper and with more than half you will start notice jaggies like with no AA
@@Extreme96PL instead increase sharpness frim nvidia control panel.
@@raghavbhatnagar551 Why from Nvidia? In game sharpen is the same and it does not sharpen HUD, map, menu which is good thing
@@Extreme96PL yes whatever does best for you, TAA sharpening looks little ugly to me so i use Nvidia filter
One good advice I can give you, is stop using Vulkan, as funny as it is, Vulkan makes the game more blurry, makes the rain a mess and you have better fps but not constantly good fps, besides Directx12, you have a clearer image, less fps but a fluent experience most of the time, no bugs with the SSAO or anything else, and the TAA sharpening looks way better
From one gaming channel to another, great job, you have similar content as us, keep it up!

@@Alitaf97 they tried to be really subtle about it too lol
Looks much better now, thanks!
1:47 just turn it off all together and use amd fsr 🙏

Better use reshade on taa high with Xbox one x settings
Thanks dude, my game looks a lot better now!
Amazing settings the only downside to having 5/4 resolution scale while having high to ultra settings for me was it takes 10-20 fps. but it's still playable at 55 fps. The things we do for graphics
If you have an RTX card, setting DLSS to quality doesn't take away many noticable graphics but improved my game about 15 FPS or so. I refuse to play anything under 60 FPS, even though I have a 144hz monitor.
@sleepy ... then don't use resolution scale.
@@rogueroman8913 Nah dlss still too blurry. Rather lower some settings than using dlss in this game
@@Kazuny you can manually update the DLSS by downloading the latest version and swapping it in the game files. But yeah, I lower graphics regardless to get a minimum of 70.
@@rogueroman8913 yeah I know and I'd agree for most other games. I don't think Red dead is really suited for upscaling cause some parts really take a hit in visual fidelity especially foliage.
I deleted this game because I thought I tried everything reshaders and Nvidia filters... I spent two days straight trying to figure out why with everything set at ultra and running on 4k 32 inch display everything just look blurred like I had on an old pair of glasses. Like seriously. They need to set these games at the best base settings possible so it does look like so much shit at the start. that's the reason ppl gravitate to console gaming. Forcing gamers to be spending hours twerking settings to try get reasonable graphics balanced with FPS is annoying.
Yeah I agree man, I hate having to twerk until I find the right settings
Got the render scale on 1.5, it looks bloody amazing. Thank you, partner!
I did it too and it looks amazing but my fps went from 60 to 40
What resolution are you playing at?
@@rybobuno At the time of writing that comment, I was using 1080p. I had about 70-80fps (in cities it was more like 60fps). I now play in 1440p and don't have any res scaling. Same fps tho.
@@Jasonbean5 I’m at 1440 too so I was just wondering about the scaling.
@@rybobuno 1440p isn't as blurry as 1080p on native but if you want to improve it even more 1.25 should be enough
Wow! Thank you so much, my game looks much better now and it’s way more enjoyable, I have 60fps most of the times which is amazing. The textures looked really bad before and I just got the game yesterday, again, thanks a lot 🙌
A tip for you if you are a fan of graphics.....go to radeon setting and put saturation to max

finally the solution, the hero we all needed
Thanks a lot! Increasing the TAA sharpening helped! And I have TAA on high is that bad? Since I heard it’s better on medium
Yeah I would definitely put it down to medium. TAA medium is still pretty blurry, TAA high is even worse.
Thank you! I was very doubtful that this could improve the graphics because I thought my screenplay was the issue, but I am glad it worked! Cheers.
The resolution scale uses a lot of memory, causes frames to drop, but it makes the game looks sooo good.
Your comment is false.
I tested your theory on my version of red dead and I did not notice any frame drops on my Nvidia RTX 3090 with an intel core i9 running on 32GB ram via an Samsung high speed NVME 2TB SSD.

Don't use TAA in this game, it causes weird lighting texture issues. Also, TAA is directly responsible for blurriness because that's literally what TAA does. It blurs everything.
I would not recommend to disable TAA because it gives the game realistic view...what you can do is use my settings with TAA for better visuals but if you don't like TAA...you can disable it
