    There was no comeback. She had never left. I saw her perform at the Apollo Theater in the 80s and she released 3 albums in that decade. Verve released a ton of her recordings in the 90s, but its only in comparison after the fact that it appears like she went away when she never did.

    She was also an amazing songwriter and her singing in her later yrs had a poetic delivery that I loved

    I recorded a Jazz alive performance Aminata Moseka (Abbey Lincoln) did in Newark NJ in mid-late 80s ! She had a background singer the up and coming Cassandra Wilson!
