I think I actually like how there are no more random encounters in the GO series in comparison to the original. However, the story in the GO: Chrono Stone games is FULL of numerous flaws that are just ridiculous and would take too long to list down. ...Unless you, who is reading this comment right now is curious otherwise to know what those flaws are.
@Kouteshi - How does Arion's Avatar somehow get defeated by a COMPLETELY NORMAL SHOT?! - The addition of Armourfication and Mix 'n' Match might look cool on paper, but in practice is poorly executed because now players that DON'T have it are pretty much useless. - Generic and poorly-developed characters and the managers barely even doing anything for a majority of the show. They also decide to underutilize/shaft most of the characters in GO who could've had potential as well. And this was already a problem for GO 1. - Massive shafting of the original Inazuma Eleven characters. Mark gets captured while Jude and Axel barely seem to get much screen time. Also, whatever happened to characters like Maxwell, Jim, Sam, Timmy, Steve, Todd, Nathan, Bobby, Erik, Thomas Feldt, Tori, Scotty, Sue, Darren, Hurley, Fidio, Hector Helio, etc.? - How and why is Wonderbot exactly a coach? Did he ever reveal any previous experience he had? - Tezcat from the Inazuma Eleven GO 1 post-game appearing out of nowhere, especially when viewers might not even know that the post-game was CANON in the first place. It could make viewers assume that he is just a forced-in character for plot convenience. - Mike suddenly being so jealous of Beta replacing Alpha that he just...decides to go after Raimon himself...??? - Despite the term "Chrono Stone," it barely feels like it has much to do with the plot of the story. I feel like it could've been called "Chrono Crusade," "Chrono Dasher," or something like that. - How exactly does time travel function here? We're told that when a change in history is made, it causes split timelines, but none of our actions in the past eras seem to really change the present or future in any meaningful way. It only seems to be present at the beginning of the story and then is almost forgotten about entirely. - David Evans now being more of a pointer than an actual coach. In the original trilogy, he always made interesting orders to his players and such, but here he's basically been degraded to "Ultimate Eleven," this, "Ultimate Eleven," that. Most of the "coaches" the Raimon players ask to be their coach barely even give any kind of strategy. Like they just go, "Hey, we're from the future and please be our coach," and then they're just like "Okay I believe you." - How come El Dorado needs to immediately get rid of Protocol Omega 2.0 (along with 3.0 and Perfect Cascade) after failing once? Like, Alpha and his team of Protocol Omega 1.0 failed once, but El Dorado still gave them chances to redeem themselves, so why does Protocol Omega 2.0 need to be immediately replaced? I guess it would seem a little too convenient to not drag them on for so long like with Dvalin's team in the OG Inazuma Eleven but you could at least find a way to give them more spotlight on their personality. - If Chairman Argos knew Zanark wouldn't listen to them anyway, then what exactly was the point of making the deal with him in the first place? - Gamma in general as a character. - Forced chemistry between Gabi and Jeanne. And this applies to many of the other Raimon players as well with the historical figures outside of maybe Nobunaga + Riccardo (which was an arc they handled excellently), Victor + Okita, Fei + Big, and Arion + King Arthur. - Protocol Omega 3.0 being completely wasted because of Zanark's intervention. - Sol just getting a Mixi-Max with Kongming with little-to-no effort, which is also an example of characters breaking the rules of Mix 'n' Match (or just the writers not thinking straight or being short on time). - When exactly did Zanark acquire Mark's Chrono Stone? We do know that he made a deal with El Dorado, but I don't think they ever mentioned anything about Mark's Chrono Stone? - Why does JP need to suddenly be weak just for the sake of character growth? - Sor stealing the spotlight from characters who COULD'VE gotten more development and he himself is uninteresting as a character. Even Aitor was a more interesting character, but instead, the writers went and said, "You know what? Let's just shoehorn a newborn kid who also came from the future in the Prehistoric Age just to fulfill one of the few requirements for the Ultimate Eleven since we don't know how to utilize the other characters from the previous season." - The Prehistoric Age feels extremely rushed as characters like Goldie and Sor just automatically get their fighting spirits with little-to-no effort. - Fei reconciling with his fighting spirit only to never use it again (anime exclusive; he only ever uses it, like, twice). - Horrible power scaling in various parts of the show, especially when JP in how he keeps on missing so many damn shots all the time. Oh, and his character growth is even SMALLER here than GO 1 (anime exclusive). - Characters just using their fighting spirits, Armourfication, and Mix 'n' Match only to just end up not using them again until very late into the show or near the end (anime exclusive). - There are fewer combo Special Moves now. Like, we got to see moves like Evolution/Triple Threat in the movie and the fusion of the Ultimate Bonds Gryphon fighting spirits, but then they just...forgot that they existed??? There's not even that many cool combo moves with newer characters other than Splitting Hares with Arion and Fei. I GUESS you could also count Ultimate Eleven Assault near the end, but that's about it. - Why does Michael have to suddenly be such a stuck-up asshole? We literally saw him placing his full trust in Tenma near the beginning of the final battle in GO 1. - The twist of El Dorado trying to save the world themselves kinda feels forced as not only do the Hyper-Evolved Children somehow still exist despite soccer routing from their powers, they're also effectively killing off an entire race of species and deciding things for them. A football ban can't quite erase soccer, you know. Soccer exists in every where else. - Simeon kinda lacks true depth as a villain, he does claim that he and other Hyper-Evolved Children were rejected by humanity, tempted to get an HEC vaccine because they die at the age of 20 but refused because he wanted to show humanity how powerful he is? Like, they don't even take the time to show his backstory or motivation to actually destroy the world either. Instead, the two random-ass looking characters - Vanfeny Vamp and Garsha Wolfein - show up for completely pointless scenes just to exchange words and do NOTHING. They could've at the *very least* been put in Ragnah. - Also, they don't bother explaining why Simeon looks like Arion other than the fact that he is most likely Arion's descendant. - How is Goldie now suddenly able to Armourfication so late without much effort? - Fei revealed to be a Hyper-Evolved Child was a pretty good twist but a predictable one at that. It was already suspicious enough that he came out of nowhere, and the show made several hints of who Fei might be, especially with his past as a Hyper-Evolved Child. - Why exactly do Alpha, Beta, and Gamma not like each other in the first place? - While I do like Alpha as a character more than Beta and Gamma and how he is now revealing his feelings for soccer to Arion a long time ever since the beginning of GO: Chrono Stone after the second Ragnarok match, it feels forced because we STILL don't get to see him enjoying himself while playing soccer or a background for any of the three characters. It's basically like a Dvalin situation but worse. Even Gazel was seen enjoying himself more than Alpha. They could've at least shown what each of their pasts were like before they worked for El Dorado. - So let me get this straight: Wonderbot is told to look after Fei by Dr. Crossword Cryptix so he can help Arion protect soccer back in time and because Fei treated him like a normal friend? Then what exactly is Dr. Cryptix to Wonderbot (anime exclusive, I guess?)? - In fact, how exactly does El Dorado have a time machine of their own? - Zanark breaking the rules of Mix 'n' Match by just...fusing with a fictional hurricane and with Mark's Chrono Stone form??? - How does Sor suddenly get his Armourfied fighting spirit form? - How does Gabi get his Armourfied fighting spirit form suddenly?? - The twist with Goldie being Fei's mother is kinda nonsensical. Goldie pretty much just ACCEPTS that a man she has never seen before walk up to her and said "our son is in danger" and moved right along. Like, yeah, it's the age of where time travel exists in the show, but surely none of this happened often, right? Do people normally just go back in time to see their older selves? Where are Goldie's parents during all of this? See, it's a clever plot twist and does explain some things, but there are too many questions just left unanswered. Oh, and did I forget to mention the show doesn't explain how Goldie and Aslei Rune married each other in the first place or how exactly Goldie dies? - Why does it have to be JUST Goldie that Aslei Rune needed to ask for help? Does he not have any friends or other personal family members? - Fei joining back into the team also feels very rushed also. Like, does anyone even learn any important lessons? - And there's also forced friendship between Simeon and his teammates when NEVER EVEN GOT TO SEE HIS BACKGROUND, making it feel unjustified. - Does Fei ever reconcile with his father or Simeon, someone who was also his friend, after the final battle...? And there's probably WAY more inconsistencies than just this, too. Despite all these frustrating flaws, I still find it to be my favorite (conclusion) season for the GO series, at least - definitely not better than the OG series, that's for sure. I thought the intro songs were god-tier (especially Shoshin wo KEEP ON!), and the third ending song in Bokutachi no Shiro (or something like that).
@@Loner098 tbh, I really hate cs, for many reasons, i hate cs as a game because it is too slow and i hate cs as an anime because the story sucks, But fey is a good character, alongside with goldie. @yo_its_emi383 I don't see what's so funny about blowing up buildings that have people in them (people in particular) and attacking people in general with psychokinetic powers who didn't want to get caught up in the war with the Hyper-Evolved Children.
