The C2/ C3 octave thing goes back to beginning of the midi spec whenever that was created. Middle C is defined as note 60, but there was no definition of what octave number that was. Different manufacturer used different octave numbers, possibly because it tied into how many octaves they had on their keyboards. So this has followed through to virtual instruments where there is still no standard. You just have to be aware when sending midi notes between apps that the note you want may well need adjusting by an octave to get what you're expecting. In fact Loopy Pro was displaying the number 48 next to the note name, as was Digistix when you were checking the midi note there earlier. Sometimes using the note number is easier.
Thanks for doing this video. I’m relatively new to both Loopy Pro and Digistix, but have successfully created various drum loops in Digistix that I then play over the top of on guitar in loopy pro. The bit I don’t understand is the assigning of musical notes to the drums. For each song I create a drum loop should be assigning notes to the drums that somehow correspond to the key of the song and if so what is the strategy for going that? Any help appreciated thanks
Great stuff again. Enjoying these tutorials very much as well as your template.

This comment seems underrated to me. 👌
This is a great video, thanks for all of your hard work and willingness to share.
Thank you for the compliments. It's my honor.
Thank you, thank you, thank you. Your well-explained video did the trick. Now I understand more of the logic of LP.
Hey … thanks for creating a very helpful video. I own both Loopy Pro and DigiStix2 but have never put the two together.
Can you do a tutorial on how you created your cajon kit? Excellent stuff.
Thank you Nathan. I like your CBG playing, too!
Wow this soo valuable! Thank You Sir! 🙏
Thank you for explaining it in such detail! I thought the bass drum was in the key of c3 in the last video :D now I understand it was a midi command.
Awesome. Glad you got it.

When I try to add Digistix2 in Loopy Pro, Digistix doesn’t show up in the New Audio Unit list. Any suggestions?
