Randy gets the chrome trophy of the day at the 5:00 mark. It's one thing when you can see your finger's reflection in the sun, but it's an entirely different matter when it's overcast. Great video!
Me n my boyfriend just spent the last 3 days doing a loop around the Olympic peninsula we hit the wynuuuch, n humptullps, n one other on are drive up to the bogachiel, we got skunked except 2 little guys that hit soft bead.. Considering conditions were the best have seen compared to the last few trips to the montesano area.... we are going to have to come down your way to get on some real fish.. thanks for the vid, it's good to know some guys are landing some fish.
Wondering what Float size you guys are typically settled on using for most of your fishing these days. My guess is enough to hold one of those 6"s of stick lead.. maybe a 15gram or 1/2oz float? Reason I ask, I've been trying to narrow down a better lead setup and from what I gather, those stick leads don't often get snagged and when they do, they seem to come loose. I tried the separated split shot thing but over here on the west coast, I find it snags up when lookin for bottom here n there or when your short floating through thinner water OR near a bank since our rivers as you know seem to be bouldery... Did you guys come to this same realization or? Cheers guys.
@@ElevatedFishing Thx guys. Really cool to watch the float fishing sport “evolve...” errrr...”elevate?” ...lol Cant wait for more vids to come out.. Anyway, im also wondering if you prefer scenting those stalker beads over non-scented. Ive found it to help me to the point where Im always doing it with key scents. -My thought is they’re more likely to move for the smell of X vs rubber/plastic. That said, I noticed you carry a pure krill/anise formula.. wondering if this one specifically is a big part of your days when fishing plastics? (I wont hold it against ya if you don’t answer)
Depending on the water clarity I use 12/8 and 10/8. Seagaur has a thinner diameter than p-line SS and most other brands. Seagaur orange label STS 8lb is as thin as 6lb !! Good strong stuff I love it. Awesome video guys 👌🏻
@@ElevatedFishing that big buck looked to be a mis clip also from ODFW rules. That adipose was too flat and narrow to be a true wild fish. They have a chart now that shows how much of a adipose fin legal hatchery fish can have.
I really wanna try steelhead fishing in Oregon with this exciting float method ! Is it very common method in there ? If possible, can you let me know the river's name ?
Oh My Trout ! This is a very common method to use for steelhead. You would really enjoy fishing Oregon rivers! Unfortunately we do not share river names, however our tactics work on all rivers. Thanks
You guys have the best steel videos on RUclips

We use 1/4oz up to 1/2oz for Steelhead. Mostly 3/8 and 1/2 for winter Steelhead. 1/4 for low smaller rivers. We use stick weights to match.

@@danb3703 The krill anise oil we use is the same one we use in each pack of stalker soft beads. 👍 The scent doesn't hurt that's for sure. 😁
@@ElevatedFishing Thx guys
Wondering what yours guys centerline setups are?
What pound leader to the beads were you guys using? - Great Video
We were using 12lb and 10lb dropper.
@@ElevatedFishing Cool, I use 20lb line, and 14lb to the hook

@@twistedjigco.548 Oh yeah, I can't wait for summer to come, then I can make more vids , and catch more steelies
Just curious, what’s the advantage of that pole and reel set up. I have seen a lot of them lately and would like too know why you use them.
What length rod you like running on the center pins ...rad video!
We like 12' centerpin rods for our west.
Fish on 🎣💯
The fish at 8:09 looked like it may be a mis clip.
That big buck was a native but the fish before it was a miss clip.

What color bead was the last fish randy caught on ?looked juicy !
That is a Steelhead stalkers ICE blue peach. We caught all but one on that color. 👍

Elevated Fishing OK. Thank you so much !
You guys gonna make more videos? :( I need more Steelie action.
We have multiple videos in the works. A fall Chinook video will be out in about a week. 👍
@@ElevatedFishing awesome can't wait man!
What y'all have hanging off the end of the float? Never seen that before....some sort of weight system?
It's a stick weight. They don't get hung up very easy. 👍
@@ElevatedFishing awsome I never seen that before. Is it fixed to the bottom of your float?
@@anthonylaurenza300 No. The float slides up and down the line depending on where the stop is set. The weight is fixed just above the leader.
@@ElevatedFishing very interesting thanks for the reply
Great video as always. What pins do you use? Definitely liking the look of the gold faceplates.
The gold one is a Reel Advantage and the other is an EBA
@@ElevatedFishing thanks! Didn't know Edwin's reels got out that far :)
Ive used beads for years, but not under a float, so ive been trying this method but im not going to waist my time, not until late July - August.
Where I can get one of those rods ?
Stryker rods in Eugene makes very nice centerpin rods like mine. 👍
Thank you for the fast reply!
So why do you have to kill hatchery fish ? Do they reproduce ?
What line are you running for mainline?
30lb fireline ultra 8. 👍
This video was the last video upload from this channel. What happened?
Moved out here from New York a year ago die hard center pinner. You guys ever need another guy to join you let me know
