Making ELLED Logo Base and 2 layer 2 colour Logo

For quite a few years I have been making edge lit acrylic signs and logos for family and friends. During that time I have developed various techniques for making the bases plus machining and engraving the clear acrylic panels. I have gained some knowledge during that time and have made this video as an attempt to pass some of this knowledge on. Specifically regarding making multi panel and multi coloured signs. Many people make single panel one colour edge lit logos and signs but I want to show that it is possible to go beyond that to create something much more dynamic.
Included in this video is a brief glimpse of one I recently created that comprises 5 acrylic panels, 4 coloured LED strips plus black and translucent coloured inlays. It was the most challenging and rewarding one I have made to date taking nearly a month to complete the prototype and then the final piece.
I must point out that I do not make these as a business but simply for my own enjoyment and for family and friends. I make this video like all my other RUclips videos to inspire and help others develop their own skills and projects.
