It was my understanding that water did not move through the evacuated tubes but a phase-change liquid gained heat and changed into a hot gas which moved up into a heat exchanger where the gas condensed and heated the water in the tank.
Exactly. He doesn't know what he is talking about. Water DOESN'T GO inside of the evacuated tube.

You've misunderstood how the tubes work... No water moves through the tubes. They are a completely closed system with a heat collector at the top that the heat gets collected from all the tubes. That's actually what heats the water.
Advice you to make a video on cleaning of solar heater.

I presume Polyurethane foam will act as a thermal insulation to maintain heat overnight. Suppose due to any leakage of the tank the PUF has to be cut and removed so as to fix the problem. Now after removing the PUF how will you fill that area where PUF has been removed

Do you know how to solve air block issue ? Whenever overhead tank water is empty, hot water tap completely stops. Even after refilling the overhead tank. The work around I do is kepp all the taps open in bathroom. And close the solar outlet for some time. And open it again then I can hear the air going out from the pipe.. is it a plumbing issue or is it common?
To be installed on all new constructions, yo bring down consumption of firewood and cooking gas. There is a non return valve, what is its life, when does it become passing?

Sir, Recently I installed 150 litres Solar water heater Supreme Make sleeper model in February 24 by local dealer here at Nellore (AP) . Yesterday when I checked the tubes, 2 no’s tubes are warm when compared to remaining tubes , and at the bottom of those tubes silver coating changed to clear glass colour. What are the reasons and why it happened ? Please tell me the reason

There is no water in the evacuated tubes. The water is contained inside the storage tank, and the tubes are very hot on the end sticking inside the tank, and heats the water there. The tubes only contain a small amount of alcohol.
Question for anyone knowledgeable - I am planning to install solar for full house 5kw unit. Should I still get a solar water heater ?

It can be easily replaced by the service guys. It costed me around 1000 to replace one with service fee

Nope. Upvc pipes are not recommended for hot water above 50degrees. Use only cpvc or gi pipes

If the investment was $25,000 and I was going to save $50 a month the payback would be 41 years, and factoring in the time value of money it would be much longer. It is nice tech, but simply running a hose through a blackened glass-enclosed box which you can make yourself for hundreds instead of thousands of dollars would break even in a handful of years. Crude perhaps when compared to ETC but effective. My gas bill for hot water is just not high enough to justify something this expensive.

@@arpankhaiwal7732 The feed line is coming from the the higher water tank and leading from the bottom to the water heater. How will the hot water with lower density overcome the higher density of the cooler water in that line?

So this is entirely works in a concept of water vapor when hot air is always goes up because its much lower density than the cold water. Thanks for your clear explanation dude 😊👍 But for me its gonna be useless in the rainy days when you high in demands in hot water. And this is works most of the time in the summer when you are not much need hot water 😅

I have connected 4.5 Kw 3 litere water heater in between solar water and bathroom whenever water is litter warm I switch on the water heater so I am able to use the heat from solar which saves electricity use only till you are taking out the water I have connected it to shower
