Biography:
Mr. Doctor is a rapper from Sacramento, CA. He grew up in the Lincoln Village neighborhood in Rancho Cordova, a suburb of Sacramento. As a witness to gang violence at an early age, Mr. Doctor quickly became enamored with the local gang Northgate Crips. By age 14, he had spent several months in juvenile lockup for crimes ranging from grand theft auto to robbery. The next few years of his life had him living between his grandparents' house in Lincoln Village, his mother's house in South Sacramento, and juvenile hall.
Eventually, Mr. Doctor was invited to Enharmonic, a studio in Sacramento, to observe a recording session. There, he met producer and rapper Brotha Lynch Hung, who convinced him to try rapping. The two put together the track "Leavin' 'Em Wit No Clue" for Black Market Records and soon Mr. Doctor was signed to the label. The success of Lynch's debut album Season of da Siccness spurred the creation of Setripn' Bloccstyle, Mr. Doctor first full-length on Black Market.
In 1999, he would follow up his landmark debut with Bombay, which climbed to #79 on the Billboard music charts. In spite of his success, however, Black Market as a label was on shaky ground; labelmate X-Raided was in prison on first-degree murder charges, mentor Lynch was in a heated legal battle with label head Cedric Singleton over unpaid money, and the rest of the label's fledgling artists were looking to become popular in their own right.
After rushing the production of 2001's Doc Holiday to meet contractual obligations, Mr. Doctor bought out his contract and went out on his own, eventually putting together the compilation Odysea to promote other artists. Longtime friend and advisor Lorenzo Green-Eyes worked with Mr. Doctor, who signed to Epidemic Entertainment to produce the 2004 double-album Documentary, which was met with little critical fanfare, despite features from star rappers E-40, Lil' Keke and Lil' Flip.
Mr. Doctor released his swan song Bloccstyle 2 in 2007, named as an ode to the album that brought him his first success.

Wow, ive never read a seriously wrong description or biography of someone, first off, Mr. Doctor(Mario) had friends in Northgate but Northgate Crips are a Tungan and Samoan gang, Nogales St Crips are more likely who you might think he would join up with but nope, while staying more and more with his mom who lived on Hogan in South Sacramento thats the local Crip set he ended up joining and Hogan is a sub set or off clique of the Gardens or GBC and more directly Hogan is a sub set of 21st St & 24th St Garden Blocc Crips while C-Bo is from 29th St and Lynch and Raided are from 24th St, Doc reps 21st St along with Chill Will, Bleezo and a couple other GBC rappers, also Tha Odysea didnt come out after Doc Holiday, it was released on Black Market less then 6 months after Bombay was released, also Lynch and Doc were beefing and that's what split up and prolonged the Locc 2 tha Brain album because what was 12 then 9, 7 and ended up with 4 members came from guys either picking or refusing to pick sides if the beef, lastly the clique he hung with a lot outside of the GBC was with Rosemont Crips in the Rosemont/Rancho Cordova area who have members like Foe Loco and Fygnation, oh and one more thing, Epidemic was started by Mr. Doctor, because when he fulfilled his contractual agreement, Cedric Singleton couldn't payout the dividends for the contract, plus he owed Doc for money Lynch was supposed to give Doc but while Doc was locked up in county on bogus charges he spent it all and the debit fell onto the labels plate, so Black Market paid out and gave Doc everything including the labels building, the studios, Ceds cars, the labels three vans and two trucks, and the had to sign over the licenses for Doc's first two albums, then Black Market shut down and declared bankruptcy
Since u seem to know alot about mr. Doc. Is it true he's a snitch?
@@guerom1367 I've heard alot about him allegedly snitching, now I know he was mighty vocal about how Lynch got girls to lie about him and get him locked up on some fake charges and how Lynch stole a bunch of his royalties but as far as snitching on the homies I've never seen one piece of documented proof or so called paperwork even when I've brought the matter up to some of the homies no one can produce any real proof, so as far as I'm concerned until it's proven beyond a shadow of a doubt he has, then I consider it just haters talking sh*t
@@guerom1367I was just about to ask that, bruh.
That’s a lot of information but did he snitch and if so on who?
@@ToneyFranco there's no paperwork proving it, so its here say, as far as who that's also in question, some say C-Bo, others say Big Dan and a couple to other homies
That ain't Nate..
