I’m in Northeast Florida at the state line with Georgia. Slightly hilly and lots of greenery, mostly pine and oak trees.

They're awesome! I couldn't believe I ran into them on this cruise. I kept staring a them thinking to myself I know I have seen this couple before maybe on Carnival Jubilee back in February... So finally got up the courage to ask Alan if they were on the Jubilee because they looked really familiar to me. He said no they were not on that ship bet they have a RUclips channel and then he handed me his card. Then it clicked!!! I have seen their videos here on RUclips! LOL :)

We live in the Central Valley aka a well irrigated desert so we escape to the water as much as possible too. What a breathtaking excursion! Awesome cruise you guys

Glad to see you guys able and be mobile to experience an active port day. Not many want to try to explore and Alaska is one of those you need to explore. That’s fun Shug has the little book. I’m in Los Angeles so I’m surrounded by buildings or houses. Mountains are far out. You guys must be behind the mountains I see from my city lol
Shug is from Los Angeles and now we’re a couple hours drive away depending on that horrible traffic lol

Alan’s sister used to live in Goochland Virginia before she moved to Kentucky. We used to love visiting her because it is so beautiful out there!

Looks like you’re in the same “boat” we are. The only time we see green or water is the ocean by California because it’s exactly that green water lol

What was the temperature range while you were there? I'm guessing it's best to layer. It's interesting to see people wearing shorts while others are bundled up.
IE Cali .. its been green where we are because of the long "winter" 😂 but its starting to turn brown again.
I would say the average temperature was probably in the low 50s, cold for Shug but very comfortable for me lol. Even she found it was too warm for her heavier coat at times but I would have to say this is probably the coldest it’s been in any of our visits to Alaska.

We went out of Seattle. If you go closer to the end of the cruising season in August and beginning of September it’s quite a bit warmer. I would have to say this was definitely the coldest it’s been in any of our visits to Alaska. Just dress layered and you’ll love it! 😉
