      Thank you, plants do that to you!!!!!
      That's one of the terrific things about gardening and growing beautiful plants. There's a special kind of contentment, sense of achievement, easement and "oneness with nature" that comes with being outdoors and helping plants grow.
      Thank you for recognizing that..... One of the special things about my job is sharing a little of the pleasure I get out of being close to plants, and it is rewarding to know that when people watch in over my shoulder they too might be experiencing a bit of that fun and happiness too!

    Was just wondering today how to prune the Proven Winners Limelight hydrangea. Loved this video, so informative, presented in a way I can remember! Thank you!

    • @OverdevestNurseries
      @OverdevestNurseries  2 года назад +3

      Limelight is a "panicle" hydrangea - just like the one we pruned in this video. So the way to prune it is exactly the same. It is a vigorous grower and if your plant is older and bigger, the dimensions will alter but the principle, time of year etc. are all the same.
      Here fyi, is a video we posted a little while ago featuring Limelight and some of the more recent (newer) ones that you might find interesting: ruclips.net/video/1uJKg7RZ16M/видео.html 😉💚👍

    Was surprised to run across this program. I love it and will be watching for more. Do you have any sessions on roses. Most of my roses are ones that have a few blooms at a time all summer and early fall. But, I have one bush that has 50 or so smaller blooms once a year or maybe twice with 15 or so blooms. Would I be more aggressive In trimming the old first blooming back to get a more plentiful second flowering?
    I love my roses and Cala Lillie’s. I am in southern Alberta Canada and my Lillie’s live through the winter when covered with leaves.
    I am well into my 70’s and love gardening and it gets my body moving again after winter.
    Thanks for the gardening lessons.

    I have both a Snowball and an Annabelle hydrangea. I prune them each spring in late April/early May and the blooms are prolific. Many times strangers have asked to harvest some of the dried blooms in the fall to spray paint them. Plants are both 20+ years old now and are a great source of pleasure. Your video confirmed my approach was the right path to follow. Many thanks.
