My Dad served on the Tennessee, BB43 from 1943-1946 as a powder-man in one of the dual 5 inch armored gun mounts, right near where the Kamikaze hit at during the battle of Okinawa in 1945. I always wanted to find a model to build when I was a kid, but it just wasn't famous enough.
Dad was the California BB44. As a model builder go with Model Monkey and Black.Use all the 3d resin you can it costs more but save you lots of tedious wok and time.Are you going to paint it.?
@@foundandfixedmodelkits1242 At this point it was one of two schemes. Overall Navy blue with deck blue decks or the Dazzle scheme which is difficult and it needs to be put on as you build the ship.

thank you for your comment, there is a late war 1/700 scale by trumpeter and a have seen a 1/350 scale resin kit out there.
Interesting, I'm grinding away on the resin 1/350 Tennessee (late) kit...

i can still get the dazzle on her just a bit of extra work and time...
