ive used a z spray, perma green, a pathfinder, and a turfware. The turfware is by far the best machine ive used in any capacity. incredible on hills (horizontally) and spreads very well. I just acquired a Steel Green and i have yet to use it. ill keep yall posted
@@mrficxit1785 The steel Green is amazing. Highly recommend. It's decent on hills, but they just came out with the caster lock option so i imagine it would be even better. it spreads great, although the edger is not the greatest ive ever used, but if you turn down the impeller speed a bit it works better, but you will most certainly have to blow off most surfaces after edging. Also the 30 gallon tanks are incredible, along with the 7 gallon addition on the back. it is somewhat of a hassle to change the belts and grease the under fitting. My favorite part of it though, is the 75 ft hose to get any super hilly areas or tight corners.
I just recently bought a toro/exmark sprayer and starting to really like it, For a small machine its pretty impressive . I'd like to see GCI do a review on it
What do you think of turf on , new T 5000 looks pretty cool ,I have three Perma Green‘s but I’m trying to get one machine for the bigger yards and I don’t know which way to go I probably still have some large but also tight areas medium hilly ?
So did you ever end up buying one? I have had two LT rich Spreader/Sprayers and Love them. However I am not a fan of dealing with Exmark for parts and service on everything and I am 80% going to pull the trigger and buy a SG52 here soon.
Pete thanks SO much for these reviews. I was curious about one thing....are the spray tips interchangeable so I could run AI nozzles and run up to a 1 or 2 gallon per 1k for liquid ferts, etc.
Hello Pete. Wanted to know what grass do you use or recommended grass to plant to get good lawn stripes? I live in the south as well. Georgia. Currently have bermuda but we all know that's not a good yard to stripe.
With all that great food sitting around you'll never get rid of them with baits. Start sealing your seeds away from them. It sounds like you need a few 53' shipping containers. You'll just have to make sure there's no holes that nice or rats can get through. They're very reasonably priced. Store the the food away then start your baits.
I'm running a L.T Rich Z-spray system, mine runs at 9.5 mph. If you have the knowledge, you can run that MPH and still get the product out at the right rate. Trust me. I've been doing it for 5 years and have never once had an issue. My lawns look good. Crank the spray pressure up, open the hopper rate a little and good to go. 5 mph is too slow compared to what these types of machines are capable of.
This guy right here has commented on every single steel green video on RUclips lol. The man obviously either worked for Lt rich before toro bought them out or he works for toro or was fired by steelgreen! Let your grudge go bud your just cutting years off your life holding a grudge like this as it’s doing you no good! Plenty of people on have this machine and love it! There’s not a machine out there that perfect for everyone they all have some good and bad!
Umm I'm thinking the reps and designers at the company can do a very good job of showing prospective buyers every thing about their products and the prospective buyers can even see it feel it smell it sit on it listen to it hear it run and even drive it and make up their own mind about purchasing it. I would definitely pass on having it reviewed by this person if I was the company owner. Absolutely nothing to gain for the company by going this route. Most definitely would say thanks but no thanks. Don't call us we'll call you. Entirely to many pet peeves to have to deal with. I mean do you really want a part of your beautiful new innovative machine that you sweated bullets on getting into production being called a thingamajig?
Not a salesman in this world that would turn down free publicity. Pete gives it to you straight. You may not like that but the other 99% of us love his videos and what the man stands for.
Rusty Lincon I deleted my original reply because you can say what you want to say. I basically said I do this to help people. Also there’s nothing negative in this video.
@@rustylincoln7991 what was negative? Most sales people know how it works but don't know how to operate the very thing they're trying to sell. I'm in the suburbs of Chicago. Complimented a guy on his lawn and it turns out it's a turf type tall fescue GCI renovation. Pete knows the lawn game. If I were in the market for equipment, I'd surely take his opinion into consideration.
We have had one for 3 or 4 years. Love it. Set mine up to be all spray. Granule hopper delete, added a 35 gallon tank.
Seems a high end piece of equipment like this should have the ability to self regulate and self adjust boom spray volume in relation to ground speed.

How’s the steel green for you?

DSchade24...What is your opinion of the Steel Green machine? Where does it rank in your experience with turfware? Inquiring minds want to know. 🙂

Do you recommend the steel green over the turfware?
Just got one at work. 👍
Cant say I would ever need this, but I like nice things. Nice review
Now that’s a nice machine Pete!
Probably see it on my yard in the near future.
They can custom build it anyway you want it. Tell them your ideas and Matt can get it done. Several spraying 2gallons per k if u need that as well
Nice review! Not for me as a homeowner but cool nonetheless. I love equipment!!

Most, not all, but most athletic Fields are Bermuda and stripe very well. Get a stripe roller and watch them stripes appear.

Is the steel green equivalent to a Z spray or Toro’s addition of the z spray
Steel Green is a company formed from the guys who started Z spray and had a non compete for a few years and now they are back.
I need to win the lottery so I can get one.
Are you shipping to California now
Andre Sanchez yes sir
Looks like a green exmark spreader sprayer
Come cut my lawn. I live in Kingwood, TX.
