I have dealt with the exact same stuff, my back will go out 1-2 times a year. I’m 6’6 and a former fat guy. Getting weight in check will do you the most help to relieve stress on your back. Other than that, I can’t believe that no one has put you on a stretching and strengthening program. I would place money on a bet that your back isn’t properly supported by your muscles, and that it’s under stress because of your weight and lack of flexibility. Chiropractors and massage therapists will only provide temporary relief, it’s your musculature that is pulling your stuff out of alignment. Best wishes bro, I wouldn’t wish these issues on anyone.

I love how you shared this with us! I have two herniated discs in my lower back that cause me to struggle day to day, and hearing someone you look up to talk about how they're going through their own struggles similar to yours is so inspiring. Keep up the work man, I love your videos they really push me to grow as a human!

Holy shhh*t thank you Thomas!!! You have the best way of articulating back pain! I started watching this video and immediately began taking so many notes so I can start advocating to doctors about my chronic pain, since 2019 as well 😂❤❤❤❤ I think the hardest part can be articulating pain to doctors while they assume its “just the weed” or “it’s probably your weight” 🙄
I appreciate your content more than words can express!

1:23 I stopped specifically at this part of the video to tell a story in the comments so one day particular about four months back I ended up going to the vape shop to pick up a derivative that day and I wanted to try a new derivative of choice and the one I ended up going with was THCP and I didn’t do my research on the de derivative and supposedly it binds with your receptors 30 times more and I ended up buying a .5 g disposable THCp cart and long story short. I thought I was someone who could handle their shit and it bit me in the ass and I took two blinkers off of it and about 10 minutes later I leaned up on my bed, and I felt the exact same thing as you were just explained, but what it felt like to me was someone was taking a needle and stabbing a hot needle into the middle part of my neck, my head and my body and I felt it on my tailbone but a little above my waist on my spine and it felt like someone was pressuring that area and I don’t know if I messed up my back from it. I don’t feel a difference as of today but a little after all that was happening I ended up putting myself into a panic attack, and I couldn’t think coherently. I couldn’t think of words to say in a sentence, I could not decipher my left from my right, and it felt like my eyes were just mirrored it really messed with me to the point where I was trying to talk to my sister at 1 o’clock in the morning which this was happening at that time and I was trying to explain to her about everything while trying to string a conversation together as my back was hurting during all of that I ended up going back back to my room, laying down and woke up with everything being all right, which I hope that everything was just from a panic attack in my back did not just give out but who knows also note to That, while all that was going on, it felt like my spine could not move like it felt like I was going through minor paralysis, but I could move my hands, my arms, my neck a little bit, but it felt like a stiff neck and a stiff back and it really messed with me so my take away from the do not try derivatives from your local vape shop because you do not know what milligrams they could potentially hold or you might not be experienced in the derivative field so please do take things with precaution and have a dope ass day. Also love you Yola continue making banger and bangers and bangers after and after and after.

Nothing made me more angry than when my aunt told me, “Oh. You’ve complained about back pain since you were 7!” While I’m trying to find the courage to even go to a damn doctor for this. I couldn’t believe it was something I complained about for so long. I just got so “used” to it.
That being said, got no answer. No clue what’s going on. Going for a pelvis exam to check out my hips, makes sense i guess.
Glad to hear your story, not often big RUclipsrs have a…”passive” physical disorder.

I live with chronic back pain myself, having a pinched nerve in the lower right side of my back and having two protruding discs in my low back as well causing so much pain down my right leg and into my foot. Hey Thomas thank you for sharing this one on one vulnerable moment, I hear you and I know you will get better, it sucks knowing you want to do all of these things but your body feels limited. I have dislocated my left shoulder three times and my right one twice and ended up tearing both labrum’s and getting surgery. Also got surgery for both my knees because I tore my meniscus on my left knee and tore my ACL on my right knee, all from different occasions. Now I say that because I’ve been through all of those surgeries so even the thought of back pains and back surgery frightens me. but honestly if it needs to be done, it needs to be done. I know you have the strength to get thru it because thankfully I have recovered and am starting to go back to the things I love, I know you will to soon. Sending a fast recovery!

You've got this Yola. Losing weight won't completely help but it will definitely help with pain and mobility. I used to have chronic knee pain and lower back pain as well that would make me not want to get up or walk too. Now that I lost 58 pounds, the pain is wayyy less and infrequent. You've been through it and have accomplished a lot, I know you can get over this too or at least get to a state of comfortability. Much love and respect to the man himself 💪

I’ve been dealing with the same things, your life story literally sounds so similar. My entire life Ive been in construction, driving and delivering huge gas station orders, warehouse work, my back has been in terrible pain ever since my teen years and now I’m almost 30 I’ve been in excruciating pain the last 2-3 years and had all sorts of scans and bloodwork. My upper back I have 2 discs that are slipping and now for the last few months my neck is fucked beyond measure. Can’t tilt my head from side to side or anything. Terrible “bone” and muscle pain everywhere in my back and neck. At this point I just live with the pain day to day and hope I can keep going. Hard taking care of 2 young kids but fortunate enough I can stay at home with my 2 kids.

I've been to chiropractors, physical therapy, many doctors after two mris and multiple cat scans the best they have figured out was my disks were draining fluid. i still felt like there was more and after seeing your mri i have the same dark spot over my spine and they never even mentioned that. So thank you for this video because i will now be looking for new doctors.

Very cool that you talked about this for all of us to hear. When I was 19 I had a car accident followed by me constantly working and ended up with 3 herniated disks which exploded unfortunately causing cauda equina syndrome which gave me some permanent nerve damage that left me not feeling my legs and giving me dropfoot on my left side. Being almost 22 now living with this has been very very difficult to say the least and I’ve dealt with some of those same kinds of pain and tried almost everything for pain. Truly hope you can recover without any permanence!!!

Bro, I’ve been following you for years and years and never knew I’d relate to you so freaking much on such a level.
I was 15 when my incident happened. I was working out (incorrectly, due to bullying at school. I was literally crying while working out because I was fed up. Like the fat shaming at my school was so bad to the point where I got physically attacked, and nah, not even by other women. A group of “men”. Boys. I was “okay” though. I took the F off wasn’t even gonna try to fight them I was already having a bad day before that and was late to class) and then I just SCREAMED and collapsed in pain.
Thought it was my leg, was even treated for my leg. Got crutches, etc. For years I was misdiagnosed and then found out yeah my hamstring was pulled but the pain was stemming from the fact that I had (and still have) two herniated discs. Btw I’m gonna be 31 this year.
I get the breathing thing and being in pain, doc even prescribed me roids to cope, we try every freaking method to get this pain under control (oh and the two herniated discs in my lower back? I also have arthritis in that same area and some other shit I forgot the name of). It’s by no means a cure and with how much I buy it’s hard to afford but TDS products have helped me TREMENDOUSLY.
We’ve got this, Thomas. I’m starting my weight loss journey frfr this year (I also have a medical condition that keeps me from losing weight) and I’m still watching this while typing- herniated bulging discs, that’s what I have and I feel like it’s getting worse. Typing this and my foot is numb as I speak from this shit. I honestly don’t know what I’d do without your products to keep me sane in the meantime.
Wishing you health this year and beyond. Shit ain’t easy but we’ll find a way my guy. We’ve got to, somehow. So dope also to see how many others in these comments have the same or similar issues. And I haven’t gotten a neck one yet cause uggghhhh I know I need to, since my neck pain is bad too like that.
Btw, I know this is random but I’d love to make Rosie some nails, I make custom press ons (unlike you’ve seen before, I use a lot of 3-D nail clay and molding) and would be cool to make her a TDS inspired set, or something truly unique.
    Much love. ❤

EDIT: After watching the video I see you have injury. Tight hamstrings are still my prime source of back & neck pain.
I can only speak for me. I have the worst back & neck pain. The only time it goes away is when I am laying completely flat. I found a solution for me. Feet shoulder width apart, back completely straight & legs straight. Then just lean foward ( touch the ground )... It hurts my lower back and the back of my knees. Obviously I wasn't able to touch the ground at first but after about a month of doing this 1-5 times a day, even if you only hold the pain for 5 seconds.. Now I can sit up straight for longer periods of time, I can somewhat sleep with a pillow under my neck. Everytime I start to feel the pain/tension in my back/legs I try to touch my toes for 5-30 seconds. On god it has helped my back & neck pain. My pain is cut in half now.

Back pain is a beast to live with and please think about those degenerative disk options because you don't want to wait too long before they can't do anything for you.
Back surgery today isn't as hard to recover from as it used to be, yet it's still spinal (neurological)surgery and the older we get, the longer it takes to heal.
    Just keep that in mind.

Hey Thomas, i'm gonna share with you what helped me. I used to have chronic back pain as well, hernia, lumbago... everything went away when I quite sugar/carbs, more water and a lot of sports gym but mostly walking. I was obese and lost 90 pounds in about a year. I don't have any back pain at all now. And it's just my opinion but beeing vegan or vegetarian (don't remember) it will not get you less inflammed. Good luck and thanks for the video

Sup Thomas, I’ve had back issues since I was 16 years old. I remember I was at the state track meet throwing discus. I bent over to put a shirt in my bag and I just fell over. I’m a big guy, 6’4, well over 200 pounds. I had to have my giant 6’6 270 pound throws coach try to pop my back. Even he couldn’t quite get it to pop. About a year later I hurt my back real bad deadlifting. I went from being a 600 pound deadlifter to not being able to go over 135. I went in and my L3, L4, and L5 were bulged. He told me he could tell my L4 had been bulged for years because I had arthritis in that area. So I turn 19 a week from today and I’ve already had arthritis in my back for at least a year.

i’m also someone who’s been dealing with chronic back pain since i was 16. i’ve figured out that when my back acts up like that using Voltren arthritis cream from walmart or literally any other pharmacy and it really does help your muscles relax for a bit. i used to load trucks and i would bathe in that shit before going in. if you haven’t tried it i highly recommend it it’s done wonders for me.
edit: i just realized that my back injury in 2018 is what got me smoking week regularly, and then i found your channel. Hard Candy Confessions #1. i also remember i thought you were like 20 and just barely older than me. 🤣

ur not alone bro, i got scoliosis surgery 15 years ago, and last year had to get surgery again to remove half the hardware cuz the doctors said it was rubbing on my muscles causing the chronic pain. now dude... they said one of the stitches (from last years surgery) popped somewhere in the muscle, after I stretched my arm/shoulder blade, which is causing me extreme pain right now, and I need to wait 6 weeks.. i told them I don't mind paying for an MRI, I was getting worried it was something worst, I am not sure why they don't want to do MRI, even if I can pay in advance.. I want to make sure I didn't tear a muscle, or something real bad happen. plus I never had an MRI done on me since 2008, the year I did my ORIGINAL surgery, and that was before the surgery for obvious reasons, they didn't want to paralize me when they screwed bolts throughout my spine. never had a second done, even when they removed hardware directly on my spine last year. anyways, typing this with extreme pain in my left shoulder blade. feels so weird, tingly, achey, tearing, sharp, all of those combined, along with like a weird crampish feeling of numbness. I wonder about my bone marrow as well, as they took some of mine out from he original surgery to fuse my spine. I wish I could do a decompress machine, or did a chiropractor before i did my surgery, just to try those things, but now my spine is fused with a rod attached to it. Hope all goes well with you
