I will have to try photo paper... I'm sure it's better, I've used it in the past. An Ink jet printer is probably better too. I'm using color laser which doesn't give the best results.
I feel like the rim of the base is [relatively] a lot of wasted space. I often colour code models with paint on the rims, but I often think it would be interesting to try to put important stat numbers on the base, in some standardised order. I've never tried it, but I really like the idea of marking the front with those caution stripes.
You could make a printout to show the front, your front arcs, your side arcs, and your rear arcs! While not strictly necessary, it would be pretty cool!
I paint the front and back hex facings on my mechs. Front only can work, but showing back can make it easier to determine from some angles without having to move stuff around.
I've tried your hex labels using normal A4 paper they work great. Cut out the label, thin coat of watered down PVA on the hex face, placed the label then another thin coat of PVA. Thanks. I also print out mech names on A4 and attach to the rear Hex face to make IDing what mech is what type a lot easier.
Photo paper makes really good labels. Standies. Etc.

Tried them out and they look great and work well.

Thats such an awesome idea! I'll certainly try that out!
what about the durability? will they peal of with time?
Thank you!
I use decals that say “front towards enemy”
This. They are listed as for Steel Rift but work great.
I just attached a claymore to each of my minis.
It also keeps anyone from touching them.
What print settings are you using? Ive tried a few times and rhey are always too small.
It should be 300 ppi. Maybe open in acrobat... or a dedicated file viewing software. It should be the right size.
Neat.
