thank you! the whole sword fight and everything around it was definitely some of the best animation that I have made. there was supposed to be more story stuff but I was completely drained by that point, maybe I can expand on this in the future.
Fantastic final shot. Great quality and impressive it's maintained for such a long video. The action and lighting are superb too. Really good use of camera shake during the combat although it could have been more stable once the combat was over.
Smooth as hell, bro! Can tell you were inspired by Badlaxe's In Defense of Alpha Base. No one can be inspired by Badlaxe without everyone noticing cuz he's literally the biggest MEGA Construx animator ever. Still, an insane looking animation, and the brutes sound fricking terrifying.
Thank you! I think found the exact sounds that badlaxe used, I couldn’t find any good brute roars so I searched “gorilla roar sound effect” and one of the first options were the sounds he used so that was convenient.
Woah this is amazing! I love the lighting especially for the energy swords and the hunter's gun!! The sets are awesome too and the red sky is really cool
@@colemantipps2873 thank you so much man! Got a vid I’ve been working on for the passed 9 months, just gotta do the final battle and I’ll be done. Don’t miss it!
W-O-W!!, by pure chance I found one of your videos, and I've been checking your channel, going from here to there. And I am stunned, your videos are amazing man, you definitely should keep doing this.
@mandob310 thank you so much man. I've been recently getting a little demoralized on animation cause it's just so much work for pretty much nothing. I've been working on a video for almost a year and I'm just starting to debate weither it's worth it or not.
this is a really weird compliment for me to give, but this was incredibly well paced. ive never really commented on the pacing of a stop motion animation because theyre usually not great, and they never really need to be unless its trying to be a more serious story like The Last Colony or something. this has a narrative, but i hope im understood what i mean by story in this case. regardless, this was well paced. usually with these animations theyre over too soon or drag on too long. but this was perfect. i checked the timestamp once when i thought the video was about to end - turns out i was only halfway through. very pleasantly surprised as usually the experience of seeing a great new stop motion like this is quite short-lived. amazing work, i know I'll be coming back to this video every now and again.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! There were plans for more “story stuff” in this but just the time it took even to make this I knew it wouldn’t be worth it to spend another month adding stuff that would reduce audience retention. This was more of a culmination of everything I’ve learned about animating action scenes and making them fit together nicely But in the future I’ll definitely want to make more story centered stuff and again thanks for the long comment!
This was so amazing!!! The cqc with spartan was great! Every punch felt meaty and strong, I also like how well the knife sections are. The way spartan diced up that camp elite was sick! Great job man!
Obviously this was just insanely well done!! With every little detail! But one thing I liked that stood out to me was how scary you made the hunter feel like it actually would be when on the battle field! Excellent work!
DAAAANNNGGG!!!! That is some of the best stuff I’ve seen in a long time! The cqc and action scenes were great! The shakey cam definitely helped set the atmosphere and everything felt so impactful, like you felt every punch. I also like how the enemy troops felt strong, intsead of pests that you could just stomp on and they’d be gone. And those muzzle flairs . . . My my, what did you use for those? They looked awesome! Overall, incredible work. Chefs kiss. 10/10. No other way to put it. Keep it up dude.
Thank you so much man! For the muzzle flashes I use a thing called glass paper(idk the name but I think it’s called that) and crumple it into a shape that looks good,I make a few for variety and then switch between them and then I use a flash light for flashes and pretty much all my effects. Thanks again!
This was amazing and the animations is REALLY good and the camera work was really good. However, i feel like there was way too much shakeycam to be able to appreciate the incredible animation
@@MrHangman56 Yes, thank you! every time I rewatch this thing it looks jankier and just a lot worse than I remember. I’m been working on a new vid and have been getting rid of all the unnecessary shaky cam, I honestly think I’ve improved a lot but these just take really long. Thanks again!
I liked your stopmotion. Could use some touch up, but I don't mind, I was still entertained and interested in this stopmotion! I could be wrong, but the brute and the spartan close combat scene, reminded me of the one animation of Badaxles. Did you take inspiration from that because if so, I love that! :~D
thank you! I just searched gorilla roar sound effects on RUclips lol, the video is just a picture of a face of a gorilla chilling with monke roars in the background.
Thank you! and yeah using them is definitely getting old,not the figs cause they’re great but using them in a context where they are from pre written stories is starting to get a little boring. But right now I got a few more mcx ideas that I want to get out cause you know,me like view and subribr. But in the future I definitely want to make original films but that stuff just takes really long and I’m not sure if I have the brain capacity for all that in the case of original stopmotion films cause space. Right now I’m working on a 3 part cod series which is pretty much original and I guess a love letter to all the action movies I’ve seen and I’ve also been practicing 2D animation cause it’s less physically limiting for me cause it doesn’t take up any space and I think my drawing skills are improving so it’s definitely getting easier. And of course school exists so….
When the spartan gave back the sword to the fallen spartan, that was honorable

@@ARandomWeirdAnimator Definitely like an idea before that battle like an origin story of them becoming spartans

Best halo stop motion of the year that I haven't seen already
You sir are handsome for thinking this
Wow. That was absolutely worth all the effort and time you put into this thing! I mean it.

I honestly thought it was a Badlaxe animation and I wasn't paying attention to the creator. Awesome job my dude 👍

Thank you! the cqc was definitely some of the easiest stuff to animate.
Outstanding work my dude. That final punch to the Ultra felt VERY personal. Definitely going to add this to my list of things to rewatch over and over

My only nit pick is technically the plasma sword wouldve cut right through the regular sword.
Yeah my excuse would be that it was a special sword made for the spartan that could resist all that but idk man.
10/10
