Great video, as usual. I spent all day today organizing my coworkers. Our union had a reform slate elected about 3-4 years ago, and we are totally transformed: rank&filers, rather than union staff, do the vast majority of the union work, and we are organized AF! Our sister campus, UC San Francisco, is going out on 2-day strike next week, and if the UC bosses don't come back to the bargaining table... Well, they're gonna find out what Solidarity looks like!
I love that! Great on your union for voting out the status quo! I hope to have the same results here at Local 26. Status quo only serves those in charge and leaves the rest raking the yard!
