The G7 has already hyperinflated several times. It just happened so slowly people didn't notice. How many times has the cost of goods doubled over the past 100 years? In 1924 a gallon of gas was .21 cents. How many multiples of .21 is gas in 2024? That's how many times the US Dollar has gone to zero and started over. At least 15 times according to my count. How many times do prices have to double, or the dollar lose purchasing power, before we call it "hyper inflation" ??? If next week everything cost 15 times more than today you would call it hyper inflation, but not if it happens over 100 years. They are just boiling the frog and we are the frog. Save in Bitcoin not dollars or you will get boiled along with everybody else.

"Inflation" is the palatable word for 'currency devaluation'. I would argue that 'inflation' should cease to be used because it onfuscates what's really happening. Currency won't go away anytime soon, it will just buy a whole lot less and cause immeasurable stress. History shows how it will end.

Thank you James. Does it involve the fact that the Federal Reserve is not a government agency but is a Consortium of private banks that were given the sole authority by the government to print money. So, in order for the government to get money it must borrow it from the Federal Reserve? At the request of the president, does Congress then instruct the treasury to borrow the money from the Federal Reserve which it then prints and issues to the Treasury? Does the Treasury then print Bonds and sell them around the world to pay the loan from The Federal Reserve???? Sounds like a Carnival flim-flam.

You said you think that a AMS400K will outperform btc. What makes you think this? Are there macoeco, technical, fundimental, or valuation reasons for this?
Their idea is to make things look good, knowing damn well it’s going to get really bad for most folks is shameful.
The governments need money to operate. They have 3 options to get it. 1.(They can impose taxes 2.(They can borrow money. 3.(They can create the money... In the U.S. the government cannot create money. That ability lies solely with the "independent" federal reserve bank... When entities that earn USD by providing goods and services as a real part of the economy loan this dollars to the government it is not harmful to the economy and could actually stimulate it in a positive way. But when the government needs more money than it can tax or borrow from real producers of goods and services it borrows the money from the federal reserve who instead of earning through production simply creates the money there by diluting the money supply and creating inflation. The role of money in humanity is to contain human effort in a way that it can be accumulated and exchanged. MMT disconnects money from humanities labor. It really is "free money" and by definition is worthless. MMT is the modern equivalent to glass beads. A horrible idea.

If money supply increased in line with population growth and GDP it would make sense to me as it would maintain its purchasing power over time.
Unfortunately the power to print is too much power. Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. And it was just proven again by the USA and all other countries on fiat.
Bitcoin is the solution to insure against the power of corruption.
Digital silver in a digital age, litecoin is a digital precious metal, not a security. Litecoin is the oldest coin on the market after bitcoin, since its inception in 2011. Scarcity of litecoin is the key feature of its technology. Everyone tends to flock to digital silver and digital gold, litecoin and bitcoin, when things aren't going well. Litecoin is a decentralized digital commodity, just like bitcoin, but not even close so heavily concentrated in a few hands like bitcoin is. Both have Proof-of-Work consensus, and both have limited supply of coins. Only that litecoin is lighter, swifter, and hugely undervalued against bitcoin. Litecoin (LTC) being a digital commodity provides a decent inflation hedge as well because there will be mined only a limited number of 84 million litecoins in total.
Just swapped all of my last ETH and swapped it into AMS400K. Already up a little bit. Unfortunately I have some other junk staked which won’t free up for a while. Still now I am on the train!

Could be that the reason the decline you folks talk about hasn’t materialized in half a century of gloom prophesying is because the economics models you’re using are full of holes. MMT actually allows solutions to these problems to be pursued, but understanding that will first take an honest look at how MMT economics works. MMT is not what has got us here-but it could take us to a more prosperous place. Homework!
