Actualy what will happen in lower mmr is smth like 4 man rotation top on troll. Who will most likely die to it, couz he has no ward, and he is not good enough to dodge it. Then trolls whole team will rotate top and foght will happen - 4 v 4. Meanwhile PA will hit jungle creeps the whole time, or mby join to, becouse "yeeeeey fight is happening!" Just have this in mind if u are the troll on lower mmr and be ready to dodge the enemy rotation...
honestly pa jumping on cm or mars trying to spear cm is more likely to happen in my climb (i'm around 2500, going from 700). it's just simple thing honestly, the desire to get kills is pretty much high in lower mmr
I don`t think so, low mmr players react very slow, i am sure your scenario would happen when troll is already hitting the second tower :)). Troll will be like, wow, a free lane, let.s push. And enemy team, wow, something is happening top, i think we gonna lose one more tower, let.s tp.
Been watching your videos for a while. I just implemented two things you said which were, itemize according to what is going on at that moment in the game like right now. Made Dragon Lance -> SnY this game on TB instead of auto piloting to manta -> skadi because enemy team had AM and Lina mid who could burst me before I could get my ult off. Played around objectives which was roshan for us at 20 min. Out-carried the AM, got a rampage and won the game for my team. 2.1k mmr so quite low but damn does it become easy by doing all the small things you talk about. Thanks a lot!

- Me, as a 3K player, I already know that simple fundamental. And that PA is Immortal. What worse things could always happen in the lower bracket? That is why playing in Party is much much more efficient than playing Solo so you could your more efficient role and team up with another player who could play an efficient role. It is like, Good Pos 1 and 2. But 1, 2, 3 would be better. The point is, it is totally difficult to expect what you already know with other players. Just like last night, I was able to play with an Archon 4 Pudge, sitting in the tree for three minutes and just waiting to hook someone in the safelane. And I was like, WTF? I thought only lower Crusaders, or lower, would do this. But that was almost a Legend player. But it is too hard to stack up with 3 or 5 with good natural players playing there comfortable roles.
I have to say, this is kind of a high level concept. Not in general, but in this exact situation. CM does ALOT of magic dmg and there could have potentally been a tiny. Even if pa doesnt die to these nukes, she's likeley to lose 3/4 of her health and go back to base for hitting this tower. (at least that's what I would have thought, and I would have backed off as well.) The second reson why I would have backed as well is because I basically do no dmg to towers. However, I do agree that she shuld have tanked 2 towershots to protect the catapult. I'm not sure if she actually knew where cm was at the time. I'm 3k and I try to play very actively. But it doesn't always work out. For example: I was Drow. Opponent Axe and his support were still both in my lane and my support had left to do whatever (level 4 aa, he cant do shit). I assumed axe would start cutting the wave and pressure my tower with his support. So I tped bot to pressure the enemy safelane tower with the catapult wave at 10 mins, to create counterpressure. The enemy ended up bringing all 5 heros to defend the tower and they got 2 kills for it. now what? I tped bottom. =/ Was that still the right move?
Even if PA dies to these nukes (unfortunate) it's forcing a rotation and their team may get an even better trade in the form of the SF mid + the mid tower now as a result of the fight taking place mid and key heroes such as tiny rotating bottom. So even worse case scenario of PA dieing will benefit the team far more by them applying pressure bottom than no pressure. Even dieing while being detrimental to PAs early game farm by allowing their team to snowball and take such a key objective they will be afforded far more space and more favorable team engagements to join (team is winning) to help them snowball into the lead.
Hello BSJ, My enemy team pushing t2 top (only1-2 people hitting tower others behind) and i'm pressuring their t2 bottom. what if they tp and kill me i can't see everyone coz not everyone is hitting tower? that's why i'm always scared of pressuring alone as a carry. what do i do? how do i do? should i wait until i see everyone before pressuring? plz help..... Thanks for the great content
Not BSJ but wait for them to show up. Hide in trees if the enemy are missing specially those certain heroes that can kill you, when you see them top then you can pressure bot but if you see them bot then you can back off and that means your team can freely take the top tower.
I have a question. I'm 3k and I try to play very actively. But it doesn't always work =/ For example: I was Drow. The opponent Axe and his support were still both in my lane and my support had left to do whatever (level 4 aa. he cant do shit). BSJ. i started playing DOTA on 12/25/19 and i am approaching 1000 hours played. I have strictly played 4,5 and have become a decent support imo. i’m realizing though that i’m now more competent than my teammates that are carrying. how can i make this switch into a greater role less intimidating? bot matches? is there a specific lane that is less impactful as a core? i want to influence my games more and learn how to pressure well.
Same here. I havent reach 1000hr gameplay. I usually spam Sven. My mmr is like going up and then down and goes up again to fall back to former mmr. The cycle keeps repeating. I just want to get out of herald. I am trying to learn morphling now which is hard for my level special using the ulti at the right time.
If u are more competent then your teammates you will rank no matter what. This is just an excuse. If u want to be good dont look on others, just on your own plays. I am 4,5k currently and to 4k i got just by playing pos 5. (ofc. switched for some games, but most of the times just pos 5) If u are realy better then other players on your rank, you will rank up, no matter on role. But most likely you are not better.
Because it's an unfavorable time trade for the enemy team. The CM doesnt care too much about dieing, but does high dmg nukes, has disables and most importantly can clear a the wave making it much harder to take the tower. This is why in high level games nearly always at least 1 support on the team has wave clear to make it inefficient for the enemy team to push the tower while their team take objectives.
what is the pa goes bot and gets ganked by them, isnt he exposing himself too much? Isnt it better to just farm under those circumstances and let the team defend somtimes
Dude, Jakiro could hav tp to defend that safelane tower, just like cm did... Jakiro can clear waves faster than troll can push them... If pa is not ready to take tower you could have atleast gotten away with defending your own... Your team gave the troll a free tower...
Ok, I have a question. I'd like to point out I'm watching your videos in the last few months and I enjoy them. I've always shared your way of thinking about taking towers, I've realized over the years playing Dota that taking first tier1 towers has a huge impact over the match and the map control, so yes, they are very important, especially the mid t1 and safelane t1. Buuuuuuuut..... I've also watched a video of Paparazzi playing Spectre, completely ignoring enemy t1 tower at his safelane. As soon as his creep wave reached enemy t1 he just stepped back and moved to farm neutrals. Why? 2 reasons. First, he prioritises farm. Second, towers have been buffed with armor over the last 10-15 patches, also gold bounty from them has been greatly reduced lately. Well, he was also alone, so hitting a tower alone would take him 2 waves (in the best scenario) and too long time risking staying under enemy tower (into enemy territory), and no, there was no catapult at that example. Early game a hero does literally 20 dmg per hit to a tower. It takes forever to take a tower down. So my question is - was Paparazzi right or you? Or it depends on the match and draft? Cos tbh your team draft is slightly weaker than enemy's draft. Thank you.
You don't understand the point BSJ is making here and are using an anecdote rather than actual analysis to reach an incorrect conclusion. The PA doesn't need to hard commit to pushing the tower, tanking the tower for around 2 seconds to keep the catapult alive so his creep wave arrives at tower is all that is required to put the enemy tower under pressure. PA now can chose to continue to farm efficiently and kill the wave (the nearby creep camps are already cleared anyway) or move back towards the triangle while contributing hugely to the overall pressure on the map. The second point you make is one of interpreting the literal gold bounty of a tower vs the actual gold cost a tower represents. The tower secures and anchors parts of the map for a team, by keeping it up you prevent the enemy team from taking generally favorable engagements around the area (team can easily reinforce via tps) and you make it more difficult to access the resources on that part of map (creeps + wave). By killing the tower you unlock a large part of the map that's now up for grabs and reduces the safe area the enemy team can farm in. This allows your team more options and allows further pressure to be applied to the map via pushing in waves forcing more rotations from enemy team. By applying pressure and forcing rotations even as a core you allow your team to have more opportunities as BSJ mentioned where the enemy rotates leaving a key hero such as SF mid vulnerable to a gank. This snowballs pressure and may lead to a team taking a second huge objective such as a midtower (as the fight happened there) and snowballing the above and the respective gold gap between the teams.
Jenkins made video of player traits for every role. Bsj is good in game analysis and creating space shenanigans so he deserves the role. Sumail/rtz/topson is best for carry/mid as they robotically very good mechanically so they beat people through last hitting and trading early to late. I often 3 too i play good space creating moves but not so mechanically good. Sometimes i play smurf and legends most time destroy me laning but i win most times im only low divine low mmr srry
Has it occurred to you that for the majority of games it's not the carries calling the shots but the offlaner/supports? They are often the ones rotating and its the offlaner that dictating a huge amount of the pace of the game and can have a huge impact by winning the lane and crippling the opponent pos1 farm?
