I spent 26yrs of my life as a butcher and attended the Smithfield Meat College ( sadly long gone ) to complete my City & Guilds Butchery Apprenticeship. Basically after being caught stealing from a butchers van I was given the choice go to borstal as a illiterate Hoxton market piss poor fool or learn a trade paid for by the butcher I was stealing from. I chose the latter and it put me on a course in life the was not a chance in hell of ever achieving on my own if that old Jewish Masonic butcher had not given me a chance in life. I still buy my meat wholesale but always encourage others to check out Bennett's on a Sunday , as the prices/quality are so good and he is keeping alive a public service that is sorely missed here in London as traditional English butchers are being rare as rocking horse pooh. Relish this channel & the art of real butchery. I can still thread a boneless TK Shoulder with a needle/string to make it look like a cushion & my stuffed lamb noisettes have impressed many a dinner party. I have so much respect for this chap and wish luck & prosperity taking the meat trade into a new age.
Wonderful too see a traditional Butcher offering great value for money , and some amazing roast joints , Lamb loin and Sirloin of beef , sounds amazing 😊
Another great super Sunday

The beef looks terrible, zero marbling, hung for precisely 11 minutes. I suppose if you want cheap meat....
