Hey everyone! I got a bit nerdy on this one and realized the video was getting long. Hopefully you gathered some useful stuff from it. And if you were aware of all the things, let me know what your lighting setup you have in the comments!
I just want you to know that if you’re using clarity with NAC X fixed you still have to download the NAC X dlc patches, at least that’s what the mod author said.

I usually use NAC X, F4ECC - Original, Light Overhaul (XBONE), Interiors Enhanced 2.0, Enhanced Flickering Firelight, Wasteland Illumination Shadowing ED., and Sunlight Alignment Tweak in that order and it looks pretty nice. It only has the performance loss from NAC X so maybe 5 or 8 frames lost but usually my fps stays at 50-60 even with mods like Another Pine Forest. In interiors it’s always 60FPS.
Just got this game for $9.99 on the Xbox store. Really nice to see some current videos that have the exact type of info I'm looking for. I'm new to mods and it's a bit confusing and overwhelming lol. Liked & Subbed.
You by far have to be one of my favorite youtubers around. I really like how you take your time and do your best everytime to explain and show off mods. Hopefully that Fallout 4 Next-Gen Upgrade is soon! im excited to see what kind of crazy things they'll do to the game 😂
This is perfect I did the same thing with Skyrim to make my game looks insane graphic wise with mods on my XSX. Now for fallout so I appreciate the help
Matt - do you feel that the new NAC X fixed interior lighting is too dark? Also, I wish Enhanced Lights and FX wasn’t buggy, those window god rays are stunning!
I like the interior lighting in this version of NAC. Was that a separate mod? You can turn the fake interior lighting off in this so it kind of looks more in line with the other mods I looked at in the video. But yea ELFX was dope.

Lately I've been running og NAC with 76 Weathers. Sometimes I don't run NAC climate (default climate) and just use the NAC settings to tweak the looks, and other times I do run NAC climate with 76 Weathers...makes for a nice looking game, I esp love the red-orange sun from 76 Weathers
Probably when the Anniversary update drops. I just changed some stuff but the game isn’t running the best without Nytra’s. Probably won’t be too drastic from my last. Glad you like em’!
Hey Matt nice video l was kinda confused with the description on the mod page for the new NacX do you need to download the DLC patches for clarity/Nac X in order for the new one to work? So it would be Main Nac/clarity patch and the two dlc right? Also Trey M films can be use with NacX right?
The patches for DLC are included in the fixed version I showed in the video. You just need the clarity patch if you use that. It’ll show how to load it in the description and then I also showed it a bit. Haven’t gotten around to trying TreyM NAC framework but I’d imagine it would work. Hard to say 100% since those mods and NAC X aren’t updated any more by the OGs.
The pre-Anniversary one? Yea 🤣 I was kind of holding out for the current-gen upgrade before I made a new LO video. You can definitely expect one of these in it. I'm still not totally in love with the performance since I usually use FPS Boost but I was trying out the 60FPS Series X mod again. I think that may have contributed to some hitches when trying out the Lightweight Lighting.. w/ godrays and such.
Next gen mods? What took them so long I just came back because of the show on prime to show my girl the game more and was looking to make it look as good as possible Now I'm tempted to wait a few weeks 😂
@@SyIis the mods will still be the same. We might see some new ones on console but I wouldn’t count on anything crazy. Although possibly not having to use performance mods would be awesome.😜 I think other things took priority, like Starfield Patches and Skyrim Creations. Definitely a trade off right now with Quality v. Performance so I’m excited to see how it all pans out. Stuff like god rays, lens flare, grass, and Boston are still issues. I’ll have a video this week going over it.
It didn’t reset on death for me but that was just my experience. On occasion, I’d go into a building and when I left, the picture would get darker. That was something that happened with the original NAC for me so not sure if it was me or the mod.
What are your settings for NACX in the first clip you show on that's section, when you're running through concord. Looks insanely good and like ab ENB!
Dang sorry I missed this! I believe it was Cinema 1, Vivid 1, PRC 1. I think I may have adjusted Brightness or Contrast further. Not using NAC right now but that should get you in the ball park. Brightness should bring up the black levels.
Yea, that's kind of the realization I came to. I find some cool combos and I like the weather but it kind of ends up looking like bad HDR on a bad 4K TV sometimes. The missing options kind of limits the control over the picture. I used to have trouble with the presets turning my game super dark after exiting buildings with the original NAC.
It does require all of the DLC for this one since it’s got the patches for DLC included. I believe the original NAC X does not so you can try that one.
Had to read the description more carefully. You are absolutely right about it. Installed the normal LITE version now. Sadly bugs like the rain drop issue makes me go crazy. xD

Heard that! Can be tricky on Fallout but if you're not too attached to trees than Borealis might be a good all around mod for ya. In part 2 of this series, I looked at a combo that might work for ya if you want trees too. You can leave the LODS out to start if you're not sure about performance.
I’m having major problems when downloading mods idk what it is but Everytime I make a load order it just kicks me out of the game and I can’t get back in unless I delete the saved data
Could be mods that you’re downloading that don’t mix well and the game crashes before it can load. Usually it would kick you out of the mod menu if there’s a server error. Might be worth hitting up Bethesda Support if you continue to have issues to see if it could be your Bethesda account. My guess would be load order.

No idea. That’s awesome though! You might want to try hitting up the Bethesda Discord. A lot of modders will be around and you can ask. It’s been pretty active lately when I’ve checked. Just maybe not as much as when the Skyrim Creationd update dropped 😂
NAC and Lightweight Lighting affect lighting in interiors and exteriors so you don’t want to mix them. Wouldn’t recommend using Phylight or Phydark with those since it modifies interiors so there would be a conflict.
@Matt_the_TechRanger Yeah no I don't plan on using psydark or light.... I was more interested in weather mods such as Vivid Weather or True Storms... Can I use those mods along with it? In the mod description, it says that I am unable to do it with certain weather mods. Can I do it with Vivid and True Storms? I really liked the vivid weather because it adds a lot more weather than the True Storm Mod... True storm has a option where you could add ghoul attacks if a radiation storm is active you can not do that with vivid weather... It's just I don't want to uninstall true storms an replace it, because I really like the idea of ghoul attacks, I also like vivid weathers for all of the extra weather is that you could get. There has to be a way I can mix the 2 without it interfering with the NOFAX
@@Matt_the_TechRanger Oof just psydark and light doesn't work with vivid.... As shown. That's ruff. You can get the game 80% complete but everything else is hard. But I guess it's ok... There is a weird bug where if you use the FAX your hands will turn into rainbow colors and your armor will look weird. I'm currently trying to find a work around or trying to figure out how to fix it. I've found absolutely nothing though... took a break
Has anybody had any recent experience using Enhanced lights and FX on Xbox series X? as the mod says it is having issues and crashing, so wondering how bad the problems are
Haven’t tried since the update. It does crash the game on certain spot, one being Museum of Freedom. Looks great though. Might be worth checking out if you’re far along.
All of the Xbox consoles. All mods are made for Xbox One. There's only a few that might be for the Series consoles but I think it's just the 60fps ones (which may not be needed soon!)
@@11bmxvids there's also the FPS Boost for the Series consoles in your Games & Apps > Fallout 4 > Compatibility Options which will push you to 60fps. It'll just be at the expense of resolution and draw distances. That will probably be replaced by the Performance mode on the 25th.
The first two mods won’t affect exteriors too much but Lightweight Lighting will switch up the weathers and lighting they use. Can look like vanilla in most cases like in clear weather. Lightweight Lighting also mentions this but you can get weather/lighting like the thumbnail depending on the time of day. The interiors are much better than vanilla. NAC X is kind of change everywhere 👍

Lightweight Lighting recently had an Interiors only version ported to xbox too. This mod is amazing!

I use and prefer lightweight lighting due to the fact that it doesn’t take up a lot of space and actually does the job pretty good!

In this one, I believe I was testing out the FlaconOil textures. Love Vivid Fallout though. Roads were Dilapidated Roads.

Fo4 didnt feel like FO but I've turned it dark,greyish and grittingly gruesome and hell yeah it's a purebred Fallout enjoying as any other FO games.

Welcome! NAC X would be the only one that wouldn't require DLC. Phylight, PhyDark, and Lightweight Lighting will require it.

76 weathers is great. I wasn't running it for the recent Fallout 4 video I made and watching it back... I was missing the colors 🤣

@@cristianvogelfang5670 a lot of weather mods have presets in Skyrim but Display Enhancements would be a way to tweak things how you want it.
NAC X (FIXED) says now to me, I do not have all things needed installed..
