    Hi.
    Stu one thing I've found over the years people get grooved into straight line work cavity s.If you feel it's worth showing ,A lot people are weak at bonding brick various types of junction s 4 and 9 inch,also unsure how to deal with reverse and broken bonds.Ive seen it ,where people have been asked on site to build a pier but didn't volunteer or won't to,because they had not really done much of that kind of work only in college maybe 5 or 6 years gone.Seasoned brickies no problem s. Just an idea Stu even just lay out dry on your set up slab and show the cut bricks / closures /bats butting up and tie in .As you know most lads can do straight runs,I think it would help your views more.
    Abit long winded just an idea.
    All the best.

    Hi Stu--My name is Joe and I am from Ontario Canada. I have been in the trade for over 35 years "ouch". I like the way you use the trowel. You do nice work. I know we all work a little different and what have you but over all the end result is what matters.--Keep making videos and take care.

    Hi there stu loving all your videos and good taste in music very peaceful and a big fan of you now you genuinely seem like a very decent chappy. Can I ask please were I can source training morter from my friend please I know b&q do hydrated lime but not sure if it's that . Am really interested into getting into bricklaying. I've been watching your videos for a long while now. I have done odd small jobs just picking up on your videos. I am a carpenter and want to add bricklaying to my skills knowledge. Hope you can help you. Am in the UK. I live close to lots of building merchants.
    Thanks man.
    Update Stu

      stu crompton HI Stu, hopefully you see this ,. can you do a video of this please and show how to do the damp proof course I’m going to build some pillars for my driveway I’m going to do myself next year , they’re for the gates . Thanks p.s love the vids keep it going 👍🏻.

    • @leeetchells609
      @leeetchells609 3 года назад +1

      @@davewatson1919 I personally wouldn't put a damp course in a gate pillar as it isn't necessary and it will cause a break in the adhesion between the two courses.
      Hope that helps.

    42 brick pier, how long did it take you? I just built (6) 2'x2'x6'H piers (270) brick per column and was building 1 a day, drilled and pinned rebar into the footing and filled it up halfway with concrete working by myself, I'm just curious about how long the 42 took you, about an hour?

    Re-title your video, "A skilled mason laying brick" Not much in the lesson here, a great video but I was looking for a few shades of instruction. Not much, just a few. Trying to get even better at brick and masonry work and I'm always looking for more guys spreading their talent around. C-mon man, talk through it, anything, hell tell jokes about your sister, anything!
