we tried to save a bunny once , his eyes were closed , he lasted a week ,, its pretty kool to see my swag on a famous youtuber ,, wow !! thank you tree brother
Probably didn't like the Haribos you were feeding him....How much was the bung to get August to wear your swag? 😂 Good to see another famous RUclipsr here! Love ya buddy, Shankster
This is in my top three of your videos. You took the time to make a mundane long job to have some fun with it. Taking the time to explain some of your thoughts before cuts was nice Thanks for sharing.
We've had good luck raising baby birds of various kinds. We soaked dry dog food in water for several hours, then fed it to them. It's funny to watch a broadwing hawk learn to spoon feed himself. I love your family time.
Good morning August, family and crew! As pertains to your question a few seconds in to the video, my opinion is a big YES. My favorite style of tree videos are when the unique aspects of any particular are described by the "narrator", detailing any special or unusual considerations. This is what I love to think about/communicate in my own little life....much to the consternation of some of my colleagues, Lol. Whatever you do with your videos, I'll keep watching, because of your character ... even the ones that don't fill my appetite for shop-talk, Lol😉😉. Have a great day everybody!
There are special fences in a lot of towns ,for the sheer pleasure of leaning on something and watching other blokes work. go with it , you are a great scource of entertainment!! Bazza Dethridge Coffs Harbour Retired
Great video, August! I'm a sponge for that kind of stuff. No pretense, no rehearsal, no BS - just tree guys loving what they do and taking the time to share it with guys like me who wish they could be doing what they do! Keep it up, bro!
Reg, as I sit here knocking on the door of 50, with crippling arm pain in both elbows and both shoulder joints in constant discomfort causing me to rely on heavy pain killers routinely , this video has made me re-think my died in the wool Ddrt technique. I shall be trying it as a direct result having written it off previously, assuming it would make the condition worse. Like you said, I have been thinking my climbing might be coming to an end which is a deeply saddening prospect, but this has given me some hope. Thank you Reg. I'll let you know if you've saved my days .
first time l think l’ve seen you work without suspenders.. l love mb suspenders so much l had to buy two pair, a pair for each saddle.. can’t believe it’s taken me 27yrs in the biz to finally try climbing with suspenders, now l won’t climb any other way. thanx.👍🏼
70 TREES! Please excuse my drooling lol. That was a very enjoyable video with a lot going on! Buckin' would say "friends" and I agree, he is so colorful and animated, envy the energy :-) Be Well Monkey Beavers
Thank You August for not loading your videos full of annoying ads!!!! You are the ONLY person Ive seen that dont load them full of the stupid ads. As always enjoyed the video, stay safe out there guys!!!
042mandy Thanks, it’s RUclips that places the ads not the channel owner. I don’t know why some channels have so many more of them, in the settings somewhere I guess.
Yeah I really enjoyed this video too. It's so awesome that you bring us into your home!! August and the power and brut strength of them verrmeers are just well I'm mind blown. Man I hope I can move up there soon. I am just want to see the Pacific North West!
I really enjoy watching technique used for difficult situations: where you tie to, the precise cuts made to ensure that things hinge and fall in the desired direction. Fascinated with the tools/equipment, too. I realize that this takes an enormous amount of time.
Our lives are all moving fast and not enough hours in a day. So yes I would love the down and dirty vids. Rockstar vids are awsome but I am happy to just watch you overcoming the obstacles. Stay safe and dry as possible. Rainy season here in Fl and we are getting soaked multiple times a day. Lastly, almost forgot. Please show more 3 cut method and pruning. Far too many do not understand what an Arborist does and the extent of our knowledge. Quite a few ppl recently have assumed that we just wreck trees. Of course we are usually called when its too late but what the heck might as well show em how not to peel and proper compartmentalized wounds. Just a thought. I know it uses a bit more ⛽ but small branches are good as well. 😀 P.S. Nice job on showing every1 the value of each life by taking in the 🐦. Big hearted ppl. Nice family August. U sir do good work 24/7.
Really cool video. I try and catch all your videos and know I miss some but if you ever have a chance could you show a video of what gear you will be using for a job and how you rig your lines. I would like to know some of your and your guys preferences with gear and tree entry setup. Keep up the good work.
What did I like most? •The banana tree and its' flat fall. •The young lady who loved the flattened log. •The saw races. •If I were going to change the bar on a Stihl saw, I would put on a bar on which I could grease the tip. •Enjoy seeing equipment move the logs. •Feeding the flicker. •Happy workers.
Yes August Hunicke, really happy with this vid. There is the physics & the art coming out of your head. What you planned & what you did - felled it right between the jug & the camera. Im glad you can buy worms in the US, we have to dig ours out of the compost heap. Cheers to you all.
I put August Hunicke on RUclips autoplay while untangling my 200' throw line that got buggered up after having a bunch of twigs blow into my cube, earlier today. I finished up as the discussion of banana logs flopping around began. Thanks for making an otherwise tedious chore be more tolerable.
Great video! Everyone here loved it, even Dodge! Although he said you kinda lost him with the crooked back cut hi stump thingy. But he's a dog so no worries.
Have you watched Travor Ahern? Totally different w/ his raw footage but amazing commentary. Guy is a comedian stuck in a climbing saddle. 20:39 minutes in and stoked on your camera work
0:08 -- yes sir! just do it! :) All the comments, thought processes, and explanations -- thanks * The narrower hinge on the *right* side (looking toward the lay) influenced the tree to the *left* as the hinge closed? Good sign the little fellow has an such an appetite, i'd say.
omg I had a bird in my flu just last week. TAch meter probably wouldve shown such stress. wife thought it was just the flex of the ductwork when the heater kicked on. Nopes. Called my local wildlife they wanted close to a thousand. ended up just opening up the cleanout. Theres no way i was gona let this poor sterling get boilded overnite cause it gets cold at nite. I didnt know what was in there till i got on the roof and shone that survivor light down the chimney. Got the poor thing out and she still comes for worms out back. chimney cap is on now.. God bless you Hunickes..
201's STINK! The only thing that keeps me from throwing mine under a falling stick, is my 1-inch-deep custom doggies, Lol. Having said that, the 201-TC!?!? Far worse!! The dumb kill switch is really annoying.
Actually my 201tc is a pretty good saw, starts everytime, idles np and i happen to like the kill switch, turns it back to start position everytime so all i need to do is pull that cord! Only down fall is the gas tank, runs out quickly..
Better to have a Woodpecker then a Pecker wood. I cut a large Maple out of my yard and ran the saw thru a pecker nest it took the whole summer before mom would go away I felt so bad but did not know she was there' I would have waited till they fledged. The Common Flicker is my favorite bird
Hi August, your content is always good so the formality or informality is not really important, in my opinion. Likewise the production. If the content is interesting and engaging, sometimes the production can even take away from that. This was a very enjoyable video and I'd happily watch the remainder of your output if it was all like this. However, I do also enjoy your interviews and your pieces to camera, when you feel like doing those. "I told ya that didn't I?" 😂 All the best to all of you, Shankers
I just sent a buddy in Canada a $17 tool that costs $200 in Canada. They charged me about $70 in customs after he got it. Make sure they do the paperwork properly saying its a gift.
Everyone who has been around or watched buckin for long enough...finds them selves thinking..."what would billy ray say?" I too...often find my self using his terms. Haha. Tee shitt idea....i think so.
Nice vid champ keep um coming Im surprised you blokes dont use ported tricked up saws ?. I hope the customers are not paying by the hr and you get the wood as well sweet deal.
August Hunicke I THINK I FOUND THE SOLUTION!!! Watch this vid(15 min but I think it will help) I know you are rediculously busy but I think it will help sweeten up your content, and help me from blowin my trucks speakers....let me know if it helps. ruclips.net/video/Uj-q3aVf-uE/видео.html SPROINGYDOING!

Hey August....you ok bud? We havent heard from ya in awhile. Have you had z chance to watch that audio editing vid? If so, have you tried it and has it helped you?
Why did you shave your beard before you went to the storm job? Are storm jobs not deserving of the full face of hair? 8) Anyways, to answer your initial question, whatever it takes to see more videos from you is good in my book. Love what you're doin' man!

Shop talk eh? One of my subscribers recently suggested i narrate my videos more, he might be onto something ;-)
ditto!
Love that birch picture, very nice! Great production, August.
I like videos like this because it helps with understanding tree cutting dynamics that most only see on the job. Thanks for bringing us on the job.

I like the technical discussion ..... enjoy you thought process...
amazing, very good techniques thanks mi amigo 👌🏾👊🏾✌🏾
Definately enjoy the descriptive vids. BTW, how does one safely cut a lengthwise split oak limb? Is there a chance it could barberchair?
Great video! Everyone here loved it, even Dodge! Although he said you kinda lost him with the crooked back cut hi stump thingy. But he's a dog so no worries.
Bananaramics of the banana tree. Got it! Hahaha I'm dying

Pretty neat, informative and entertaining, all in one vid. Did the flicker show its gratitude by pooping in your hand?
I do wanna get sena helmet telecom, what model of is the best.
0:08 -- yes sir! just do it! :)
All the comments, thought processes, and explanations -- thanks
* The narrower hinge on the *right* side (looking toward the lay) influenced the tree to the *left* as the hinge closed?
Good sign the little fellow has an such an appetite, i'd say.
Robert Wood yeah but only as it closed and came off the stump. Sort of a last second push to the left.
great clarification!
Definitely appreciate the explanations. Cheers August
Yes on the question. I enjoy all your videos bud !
