"I inform the court, that the defendants are not entitled to make a speech" said the Judge.

Jackson, in a letter discussing the weaknesses of the trial, in October 1945 told U.S. President Harry S. Truman that the Allies themselves "have done or are doing some of the very things we are prosecuting the Germans for. (Wikipedia)

it is also that the Allies did not commit a genocide due to the of the delusions of a failed artist and his friends. nice try though

@@jukebox5600 What are you trying to do here? I added valuable information to the discussion. Whereas you just make a cynical joke. We must search for ourdays available information to progress. Is it well known today that the Prosecutor sent by the Soviets to the trials died in Nuremberg with a gunshot to his head? Just because Stalin got upset by revelations about the Ribbentrop Treaty ? And isn't it interesting to think about the legalisation of flashing entire cities with a single bomb when you have Nuremberg prosecutors spending time to sue German Soldiers on individual cases such as not rescuing sailors after sinking their vessels? I know about Indians today still asking for a trial of the British responsible for what they claim are a couple millions starved to death in their colony. These germans in the dock had very weak lawyers. Once you study the trials in deep you will understand why even today the Justice of the new Germany never recognized the Nuremberg trial to have been acceptable to their standards. The judgements are done and will not be refuted.. but to my big surprise the entire trial is not accepted by the German Legal System as Rechtstaatlich. No wonder when we know that criminals such as Vichinsky the henchman of Stalin even disgraced by modern day Russia was the head of the Soviet Legal team present in the court room.

Jackson to Truman: "The French are so violating the Geneva Convention in the treatment of prisoners of war that our command is taking back prisoners sent to them. We are prosecuting plunder and our Allies are practicing it. We say aggressive war is a crime and one of our allies asserts sovereignty over the Baltic States based on no title except conquest." @peterbishop1968 think about ww2. who caused it. who murdered the innocent? this is why this trial was required.

The Nuremburg trial was a kangaroo court where the post war show trial of the former leaders of Germany were sentenced to death. It was mere victors justice and having the Soviets on the bench who had been responsible fore more atrocities than any other belligerent was absurd. Katyn anyone? Dresden, Hiroshima, Nagasaki??
