I totally live off grid in Maine. Biggest issue i have is having the internet for my son. Ive looked at these prior and wasnt sure... But this def has me more interested and probably gonna make me buy one.. Love your videos they have really helped me the past year with learning how to live off grid.... I inherrited my dads house when he passed away and i knew nothing about solar and have had to learn so much the past couple years. Your videos as well as a few other youtubers have been a tremendious help. Has even started to inspire me to do a off grid youtube channel...
Glad My videos have been helpful. Good luck with the off grid house. I have always wanted to visit Maine and the surrounding area. Looks beautiful over there. Take care and thanks for the comment.
thank you for testing alongside a Weboost! I have a Nextivity G32 ("Cel-Fi Go 32") and I've been wondering if adding an Orbi LBR20 would be beneficial. It looks like the answer is a resounding YES
Thanks for the content. I have a rural property and think the Orbi will be a good solution for me. Which Orbi satellite is compatible to create a mesh network? You mentioned they're a bit cheaper...
I believe they're all capable of adding satellites to make a mesh system. What I meant is that the satellites are cheaper than the main unit. And while I am enjoying my orbi very much customer service is a nightmare. I believe I put that in the description. As long as you can get a decent signal it works amazing. And I've actually boosted my speeds to 85mbs down and 5mbs upload by adding a mimo antenna to it. So I would highly recommend you use the external antenna ports.
I have Netgear orbi LBR20 my old modem I had with Bravado Wireless got to point didn't want load websites my current provider is US cellular home internet
Hi all , looking for some quick advice . I have a friend I've recently started handling the cell phone plans for ( not normal for me ) , and they gave me contact info for their Verizon rep . I've been working with him for almost a year now , and I'm constantly having problems getting answers from him on basic things like can he confirm he put insurance on our plans and how do I utilize the insurance after a phone is damaged ? My question to you all is : how do you normally work with Verizon on things like activation problems on new phones and questions on insurance and such ? Do you have a client rep you ask , a special number to call , or how can I get quick and reliable results here ? What is the proper way to request a new client rep ? If I make the request , I want to make sure I don't end up still stuck with the same guy . I've already had a heart to heart with him and needing faster response times , and the quality dropped after that talk .
I’m not familiar with “network management.” Do you mean the administrative side of their website where you can manage user and cost center information for a specific user or are you talking about mobile device management? I use both at my organization.
I do. There have been times where I’ve received SIMs for a phone or laptop and it didn’t activate. Sometimes he suggests I contact customer service and other times he finds an error in the order and corrects it.
Network management" on the plan itself. So all the lines on the plan, the speed is managed by Verizon to work with all Verizons clients (it would slow down during peak times). We have an older plan that isn't throttled like that, and I don't trust my nonresponsive rep telling me it should be fine (but he won't be able to change it back)
Can the router be set up to receive the cell signal but then send it through the home via ethernet instead of WIFI for those sensitive to the WIFI signal?
Pal your a bit confused with the unit's in your review, MegaBits are used for measuring an Internet connection download or upload speeds, while Megabytes are used to measure file size...
Thank you for this video, it was exactly what I needed. One question, I can directly plug my MIFI 8800l SIM card into it and it will not get kicked off of Verizon’s network, correct? Thanks for the help
I used my MiFi SIM card and plug it directly into it and I've had no issues. As long as you have decent signal it performs quite well. But if your Signal's weak it tends to drop every once in awhile. Hang on to your MiFi if you're traveling I guess is what I'm saying. I added I'm mimo antenna with 2 connections and I'm getting 85 megabits per second down and 8 megabits per second upload. Which is amazing for my area compared to the MiFi.
Im using the old school mifi home router. I love it, but its ancient and my speeds are kinda slow i have an old school unlimited data plan sim in it. Is this router plug and play with a Verizon sim?
I have an odd question......I own some land in Colorado and am currently paying a monthly service for ONE Arlo camera and was wondering if anyone has any idea to run several Arlo cameras somehow ....don't know how far they can run wireless away from the stations
Off the top of my head I would say better Wi-Fi range more connectable devices and a more powerful antenna. I tried running my whole house off of a hotspot which is basically the same as a cell phone hotspot and it was very troublesome. This runs my entire house very seamlessly with double the speeds upload and download.

Like you, I work with a rep, but he’s awesome. Always responds to me within 30 minutes and always confirms details and answers all of my questions.

If you have a problem with activation or something technical, do you contact Tony miles (rep) who is quick to help?
I do. There have been times where I’ve received SIMs for a phone or laptop and it didn’t activate. Sometimes he suggests I contact customer service and other times he finds an error in the order and corrects it.

very good presentation thank you
Sir, what about the Orbi WiFi signal?
It can easily access from anywhere in house?
It has good coverage for a small 2 bedroom house. They have mesh systems for larger homes.
I have an odd question......I own some land in Colorado and am currently paying a monthly service for ONE Arlo camera and was wondering if anyone has any idea to run several Arlo cameras somehow ....don't know how far they can run wireless away from the stations
Do I need to buy an additional plan to use it like the nighthawk m1?
Not to my knowledge.
@@fullmoonadventureclub thanks
I added a 30 dollar plan for a tablet through my cell provider an inserted the sim in it an it works no problems

Can I hook my hiboost 10 signal booster to the lte antenna ports on back of the orbi to increase the cell reception?
It does have ports in the back for antenna but I don't know if it'll work with your exact booster model. You may want to contact customer support.
And orbi it’s locked or unlocked?
It will work worldwide?
I believe mine was locked but I am not sure. You would need to ask.
What does this offer over and above using a cell phone as a wifi hotspot?
