i feel that trembling inside my body too Especially in the morning it is so bad so bad I take ash ashwaganda for it and it helps me some days. Wake up with a lot of nervousness.
Having my libido at 10 on a scale 1-10 my all life, its now a personal tragedy for me once lost due to age hormonal changes. It does not matter what I do, it is not coming back! If I could trade all other 50 plus symptoms for my old sex drive, I would in a heartbeat! I feel like my life is over...And suggestions? Please give me some advice! Thank you!
Hi Lena There are several herbal remedies that are supposed to help with libido; Muria Puma and Maca. However, I can't say for sure that they are effective. I would suggest doing a bit of research on them to see if either would be of benefit for you. Best Wishes Eileen
It is best to take several regular doses of magnesium rather than just one high dose. If you take magnesium at night it can often help with sleep but it won’t make you drowsy if you take some in the morning.
I take 5,000 iu of vit d but I have gained weight since I started. Could this actually be causing the weight gain? Also taking Ashwaganda 500 mgs which is an herb. It actually seems to be helping me with constipation and deeper sleep. Are you familiar with Ashwaganda?
Hi Sandra Were you advised to take such a high dose by your doctor? If so then it is best to go back to them and let them know about the weight gain, they may need to do some tests to find out what is happening. If you have just decided to take this by yourself then it may be better to go on to a much lower dose, especially if you wish to take it all the time. Ashwagandha can be really effective for some women in the menopause; I have used it myself with good results for morning anxiety.
I was advised to take a Saffron supplement to help balance hormones alongside Vitamin D3 and digestive enzymes. I have fibroids and noticed they went crazy active when they had calmed down previously. Pain, cramping - when this had calmed down for the past how many months. I stopped taking the saffron and the fibroids have calmed down a bit - still painful. Also anxiety shot up! Has anyone else experienced this? I’ve noticed supplements that affect hormonal levels have too stimulating and negative an impact on my body.
Hi Michelle Unfortunately, some women are really sensitive to supplements and herbs but it looks like you listen to your body well and that can help pick the best remedies. Best Wishes Eileen
You are probably overdoing the Omega 6 if you take evening primrose on top of your 3-6-9. You may find that just taking an Omega-3 is more helpful, as that is so anti-inflammatory and good for your skin. Flaxseed oil is a good source.

Bonjour, Could you please advise how many times per year to take supplements? For instance, particular dose with one month duration and how many times per year? Also, it’s important to take vitamin supplements from October to March... So how to manage all that? The vitamins I am going to take - Magnesium B6;B complex; D3+K2; Zinc, Omega 3; Vitamin C (I am aware how to manage)) Thanks in advance for your kind reply.
Hi E In the menopause it is best to take supplements every day if possible rather than just taking at certain times of the year as your body needs extra for all the changes going on. The only one you may not need all year would be the vitamin D as long as your get out and about regularly in the summer months. The supplements you wish to take is a good combination! Best Wishes Eileen

Hi Chryza If you have been bleeding for this long it is really important that you see your doctor. They may be able to give you something to stop the bleeding and also check that other health issues such as fibroids or a prolapse are not contributing to the bleeding. We don't recommend any tablets that have soya in them in this situation as it is possible they could make it worse, sorry, however, a general multivit is a good idea. Best Wishes Eileen
Hi Michelle If you are getting day time symptoms then take with your breakfast, if you are getting night time symptoms, take with your evening meal and if you are getting both, still take with your evening meal. Best Wishes Eileen

Hi Belinda Headaches are often caused by low magnesium, dehydration or low blood sugar levels. You may find a magnesium supplement, approx 150mg twice a day helpful and make sure that you are drinking lots of plain water, over and above your other drinks and don't go long periods without food. If, however, these don't help and the headaches get worse then do check with your doctor as well. Best Wishes Eileen
