The Cabasse sound has more character/texture and tighter bass. The Devialet would appeal more to the bassheads (which is the target segment for these kind of speakers), but feels hollow in the midrange.
The devialet's midrange doesn't sound hollow at all. They actually sound very transparent, natural but at the same time soft. You have to listen to other recordings with more focus on the mids or better yet, listen to it in person.

LOL!!!!!!! WHAT????? The HUGE SOUND coming out of these tiny speakers is astounding!!!! The reviews that I've read are true!!!! The depth and clarity of the bass are unbelievable!!!! If I had my eyes closed, I would have guessed that these were full-range floor-standing speakers or speakers plus a subwoofer!!! What a feat of audio engineering!
Yeah but we need to remember that several 1000 watts of power is crammed into these small speakers. Like the Cabasse The Pearl has a 1000w 10" SUB at the back with 300w Mid-range and Tweeter each.

@@hapexamendar1093 I wouldn't say that confidently. The Pearl has a 10" SUB at the back so the microphone cannot capture the real bass it is putting out from the front.
@@ashyouknow7420 I think I would agree that the microphone is not getting everything. However, what we are getting is a beat down by Devialet.
