- www.lax.com - Entering the game carrying a 76 game win streak, the top seeded team in Connecticut, the Darien Blue Wave, took on the Ridgefield Tigers for the 2018 CT Class L Title. Using a slow approach on offense, the Tigers overcame an early lead from Darien and dominated the time of possession to hold a 9-3 lead with minutes to play. Despite a furious rally, the Blue Wave fell short of an epic comeback, falling to the Tigers 9-8, giving Ridgefield its first state title since 2011. to be fair, their strength of schedule isn't the hardest
CT T they played Manhassett, Yorktown, Torrey Pines, New Canaan, and St Anthony’s how is that not a difficult schedule

I was there last year and Ridgefield sucked. They only won because they started holding the ball and not playing it when they went ahead. They should have a shot clock for high school games. Darien should won that game
