@railey_boy Well, the thing is that OP said, "Now they get more attendance." These five words mean that there are more people coming in than usual. The people being customers. oh boy movie theatres are so understaffed. I chose not to renew my contract right before the big wave of movies (sorry coworkers), mainly because of this issue. Long hours, minimal pay, and a bunch of rude customers. People will be flooding in 5 minutes before the movie starts- just for them to complain, “Why are you taking so long?” When there’s an influx of 30-40 people all coming in at the same time, we won’t be able to help you right away and you’re gonna have to wait. If u didn’t want to miss the first 10 minutes, you should’ve showed up earlier. Oh and don’t even get me started on theatre cleans. There are trash cans at the doors, so please throw your trash away after a movie. It’s hard as a theatre attendant to be able to clean a whole theatre 20-30 minutes in between the movie (note that most sets finish at around the same time, so you’re having to scramble clean about 6 theatres within this time slot), but ALSO having to pick up every bit of garbage in the dimly lit theatre just makes it even more exhausting. Please be a decent human being to theatre attendants, they’re trying their best ♡
Yeah, I work at a small theater and when I clean the screens most of them are dirty as hell, I'm pretty sure people throw their trash everywhere just because they know they don't have to throw it away.
This is how every weekend was pre-2020. I worked at a movie theater for 5 years starting in 2008. Sure, I got paid barely above minimum wage and got overwhelmed with busy late nights, but it was the most fun I ever had at a job.
I've worked at a movie theater. They had rules in place to where every employee had a chore they had to complete by the end of their shift no matter how busy it was. And we weren't allowed to sit at any point besides our lunch break, and had to request bathroom and drink breaks, because using the water fountains was "unprofessional". Lastly there's a rule where everyone is entitled to free stuff if they go a month without strikes. However because the managers don't want to check the cameras, (the managers are the only ones able to use chairs) if one person made a mistake antone in the vicinity were given strikes as well. Could be a complete accident, like one switch out of twenty on a popcorn machine wasn't flipped resulting in burnt popcorn, and EVERY person got a strike, event though the person admitted it was them. P.s. the chore chart would range from taking trash out to the dumpsters behind the neighboring building, getting on ladders to cleanthe claw machines or windows, and even washing every movie poster around the whole complex on top of having a stationary job. The cashier's rarely leave the concession stands, tha managers are either sitting or just not there, and the security/usher/ticket-tearers were always in a movie room cleaning up after the last group. No matter which position you had you were required to finish the random chore, and have the manager of the day, often not there, to sign off on it.

But now, people are excited about going back to the movies, and it’s bringing in a lot of customers. This means more hours and job security for the employees, which is a big win after everything they’ve been through. It’s also exciting to see theaters buzzing with energy again. Working in a packed theater with excited moviegoers is probably way more enjoyable than working during a slow season. And while it might be busy and feel a little chaotic at times, there’s really no need to complain. It’s a good kind of busy that shows people still value the theater experience. For employees, this is a chance to gain great experience in a fast-paced environment, learn customer service skills, and even feel pride in being part of something that brings so many people joy. Aww that’s so sad at least it’s not every weekend they are having box office films drop back in the day ! 😂 and the midnight premiers! What a time to be alive (also all my friends worked at the theatre in high school)
I used to work at a movie theater from 2002-2018. We had to stay late and clean the building after we locked our doors because the theater was so cheap that they didn't hire a clean-up company. We ( the employees) didn't get paid extra. Even when our backs went out and we couldn't stand straight to walk, we couldn't leave before anyone else. When those popular movies came out. We stayed till 2:30am because the 2 ticket takers had to count every ticket and put them in a stack of a hundred. Yes, theater works are overworked and sooooo underpaid. So if you go to any movie theater this or in the future, please remember they don't get paid enough to really care. Treat the workers better, please
In the cinema I work in we had 3 people in the cleaning department, 4 selling popcorn and 2 selling Movie tickets. On a day with more than 500 guests in one movie wave.
I doubt it! Every time I’ve been to the movie theater it’s completely empty! If you don’t want workers to complain, hire more staff and plan ahead when big premiers are coming up! Many of the times I go to my local theater the workers are so nice and everything is clean!

@@emilydavidson8844they're working at a movie theater not a coal mine. It's not hard work 🤦
@@joechrisman4661 what’s your job then? You must have a troubling job if you’re saying this? Are you a coal miner?
As for you, what is your job then my man? Or are you secretly a kid? Cause I wanna know if you can really prove that you have a job to back yourself up here.
"Sonic 3 and Mufasa" 💀
Braking news movie theater employees complain about work
👏👏👏
As a current AMC employee, and of one of the highest in the state... it's very hectic and it was extremely packed. We've sold out of seats and CCV's
Notice how nobody talks about how when there are dead days where nobody comes, they don’t complain? But have to complain when doing the job they either chose or got hired for. Be grateful for having a job because there are people who don’t. If you don’t want the job leave so people have an opportunity to work and support themselves
Oh well got to get new weekend plans.... 🙃
I wonder if all the Theaters chipped in to make this video. Trying to convince people everyone is going to see these bad movies. 😂
Which bad movies are you talking about?
You’re acting like the world is ending 😭 😂
My local town theater had its fire alarms go off.
Omg. Either people arent going or are going too much. Humans are annoying
Workers when they have to work:
All that popcorn 😨
I’ve love how he says this almost every single big movie that comes out😂 but seriously if they’re getting overworked go on vacation go on vacation every single Christmas and New Year’s just because I don’t wanna deal with the damn trucks😂
Movie theaters when they aren't dry for once
They are just so used to no one being there 😂
back in the 2000's I remember seeing 5 big movies at the same time every month.
Hey I worked at Regal for the Star Wars movies. The lines went down the stairs around the atrium and out the doors. None of us wanted to work ever again 😂😂
Not me literally seeing gladiator 2 and Moana 2 like a week ago 😂😂
When movie theaters get people:
Moana 2, Wicked & Gladiator 2 all had packed theaters! So happy movie theaters came back!
Master got me working
And they say the movie theaters are dying 😂😂
These places really need to have seasonal jobs during holidays and for big franchises.
I work for a movie theater company. So yes I have been overworked and stressed the fuck out. Sonic 3 comes out this month and the customer count is only going up 😢😢😢😢
God bless them all. i always try to leave a tip. i love the movies so much ❤❤
When I went to watch gladiator II, NO ONE WAS THERE
I'm glad i go to the movies where there's not alot of people.
not them getting paid 😭
You gotta live laugh love and learn.... wait thats the wrong one
