Throughout india they blame it on the rain blah blah blah... while 10% of this could be true, the biggest issue is all catchment areas like rivers, lakes etc are given for real estate/construction as a result of which we hardly store any water when it rains. How many times have we seen floods in different parts of the country, can you now imagine the amount of water that you see on the roads which finally goies into sewage and finally back to the sea... Deforestration is another issue which continues in every part of India giving way to bridges, industries, expnasion... all of this is required but not at the cost of destruction of nature . Not just India throughout the world this is the state of affairs, as no heed is paid to preserve water or nature. We are only digging our own graves more and more... and I cant imagine what holds in future.... water will probably become the most precious commodity. Sad...................
