yay this book haul is so exciting!! i wasn't planning on reading city of ghosts but everyone has been gushing over the book so i think i might give it a try
Scribd does not give access to unlimited books/audiobooks. Once you've read a few most of the audiobooks you saved are blocked until the next month... Just dropping that here bc I'm tired of hearing booktubers say that when it's not true...
Claire D. I really wasn’t aware of this as I only just started using it, but a few people notified me of this in the comments! I haven’t experienced this yet, but I will definitely mention it when talking about scribd in the future.
The same thing happens to me too! I thought there was something wrong with my account and it only happened to me since I didn't hear anybody else mention it but I've seen multiple people talking about it in this comments section so that's a relief. I wrote to Scribd about it the first month but didn't get a response unfortunately.
@@account8221 I wrote to them and got a response pretty quickly, i mentionned the false advertising through Booktubers so that's probably why. But they told me that's how it was and they have agreements with publishing houses that block us from listening to too many books especially popular ones. I unsuscribed after two months. If they had been honest from the start I would have understood but their marketing was that it was unlimited so......
Claire D. In that case the misadvertisement really sucks. I am still subscribed since it's still a pretty good price for 2-3 audiobooks a month and the occasional e-book, compared to sites like audible, but it's also really frustrating because I was very excited to be able to access a lot more than that. At the end of the day, they are scamming people.
EDIT: I read a lengthy review from Em on Goodreads and Felicity is Ace-Aro. and the reviewer is Asexual as well. I am so excited for The Lady’s Guide to Petticoats and Piracy! an asexual lady character who is a pirate?! COME ON!! as all your other videos, loved this. makes me want to buy more books though...
Yeah, but what makes the character not interested in her arraged marriage asexual? Just because there is no romance or just because the character hasn't found that person that she likes, what makes the character asexual? Does every book that doesn't have a romance in it make the character asexual or aromantic?
Danielle Homer not necessarily. I stated that the character is asexual because whenever it’s been talked about, Felicity has been said to be asexual. obviously won’t know until the book comes out, so we will see.
We won't know until it's explicitly said. But assuming that just because a character doesn't want to be in their arranged marriage BECAUSE she's asexual is plain wrong. Unless the author says it and it's documented that is was said in the context of "Yes, she's asexual", she's a normal girl in the 1700s that wants to push the social norms of women in the medical sciences. It's historical fiction, and if too many progressive things and put into historical fiction it pushes into a more realm of fantasy. Asexuality wasn't a thing until 2016. Until then it was just "I don't like sex. I'm not going to have sex." without people having a label, because people like that didn't need/want a label until Tumblr took a hold of it.
ABE BOOKS IS THE BEST!!! Also that City of Ghosts cover is my new obsession. I'm so happy for you and your OG UK Harry Potter editions!! It really showed just how long you've been wanting them and how much it means to you!! I feel like I was that way when I was collecting my Series of Unfortunate Events books!
i totally feel you. I have also finally all my UK Harry potter books. I hunted them down through different second hand book shops over the years but i am so happy now that i have them all together. It is indeed special
I totally have dream books, I spend so much time wishing I had certain editions! And just yesterday my dream books arrived, the American hardback editions of The Raven Cycle, all signed by Maggie Stiefvater!!! She ran a Kickstarter campaign for a box to put them in which she designed and I already had that so now they are all looking gorgeous on my shelves and it makes me so happy!
I am so excited for The Lady's Guide to Petticoats and Piracy! I read The Gentleman's Guide in August and absolutely fell in love with it. I didn't know Felicity was ace-aro, and that makes me even more excited!
Ahh I’m so happy for you getting those HP covers. They’re the covers I grew up with and still read to this day, so it’s great to see you treasure them so dearly. Loved this video! 💙
Emma, you are officially my hero. I've been searching for a reasonably priced copy of Charmed Knits (it's a Harry Potter knitting book that went out of print years ago) and have only ever been able to find copies that were being listed for $100+. I'd never heard of Abebooks before you just mentioned it in this video...they have a couple copies on there for like $30 after shipping. So, THANK YOU! This video has just helped me acquire one of my dream books!
I always find myself loving UK covers more than US ones and my wallet cannot handle it lmao The City of Ghosts UK cover is SO HALLOWEEN-Y I love it. And I'm so happy you got the HP covers you wanted!! I want them, too! I have the original US covers, and I love them, but the color blocked spines of the UK covers are so gorgeous!
Scribd is a scam. Its NOT unlimited. If you read the very fine print, it says it not unlimited. I've had it for almost two months now to test it and it appears after listening to 3 audio books they SEVERELY restrict what you can listen to. Very disappointing.
So crazy that those Harry Potter editions are so special to you! I have those editions but that’s because whenever a new one was released we’d just go the book shop and get it! My whole family have read them and they’re the books that have sat on my families bookshelves for 15+ years, I definitely took the original editions for granted!!
It's really awesome that you got those copies of Harry Potter! I think it's great that you love something like that and were finally able to have it! And that edition of Daughter of the Burning City is so beautiful! I am obsessed!
Congrats on finding those HP editions! They're super pretty and I'd be over the moon to own them too. I have so many series that I consider "dream books" that I've been coveting, because they're such a special part of my childhood/reading experience. I'm slowly but surely completing my collection of original hardback editions of Brian Jacques' Redwall series, the Heralds of Valdemar by Mercedes Lackey, and I swear one day I will have the complete original Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew series. (Just to name a few! 😊)
I'm the same way about the original UK covers, and they've become sort of a collectors item for me, so every time I'm in the UK I find a used bookstore and I buy one more of the set. I just love them and they're the only second hand books I own and I love that there's a story behind then (expecially the first edition HBP and DH)
I’m the SAME way! I love having different editions and I’ve always wanted these Harry Potters as well. I love seeing you get a new edition (to you) of CoB as well. This month I FINALLY got Little and Lion and I’ve only read like a page so far but I am so excited
Prior to finding them on eBay, I was obsessed with trying to find copies of the Waterstones special editions of Lady Midnight and Lord of Shadows, but then I found them and I was so happy. And the moment, the QoAaD one went live, I was wiping out the credit card and pre-ordering because I NEEDED it. But now, that I have them, my “dream” books would be the UK special editions of TMI where they are all different colors with the different symbols on them. Ever since I watched your first Shadowhunter shelf tour video, I’ve been fawning over them and wanting them.
I 100% relate to your dream books!! I recently got this same edition. I just happened upon them at an estate sale and was so excited!! I have a vast collection of Harry Potter editions and this was a set I always wanted to add and never had before. So finding them in the US for super cheap felt like fate. So I absolutely get your excitement for this beautiful set!!
I am so excited for The Lady's Guide! Interested to here why you didn't love Wildcard. I was obsessed with Warcross when it was out but have heard mixed things about Wildcard.
OMG THE COVER OF THE GOLDEN TOWER IS EVERYTHING!!!! I CAN'T STOP STARING AT IT AHH and i'm so happy you got your dream books! those harry potter books are beautiful and i'm glad they've found a wonderful home :)
Omg I get you! I've always (growing up in Poland) wanted these editions and when I found out they are out of print I was so sad! I managed to buy few of them second hand but I'm still missing 3! you are not alone haha :)
I too always dreamed of owning the original editions of Harry Potter and last year for my birthday my father got me a set! It seems like nothing to some people but it was probably one of the best birthday gifts I've ever received! So happy you were finally able to get your hands on them, they are beautiful!
I just got my Harry Potter uk first edition hardcover too! 😱 I know how special they are to you I think any Harry Potter fan can definitely relate ❤️ love your video I’ve been watching your Harry Potter book reviews as I end each book haha I’m currently on Harry Potter and the half blood prince
omg i feel you on the hp books, i live in Hungary, and i once found a first edition hardcover copy of Half Blood Prince in perfect condition for like 2 dollars, and i have been meaning to collect the whole series in this edition since then
omg the original bloomsbury harry potter books!!! I want those as well!! wait can you do a video on your harry potter merch and paraphernalia??? That would be so cool!
A few of the books I got this month are Sadie by Courtney Summers (of course), An Absolutely Remarkable Thing by Hank Green, Love & Other Carnivorous Plants, Heretics Anonymous, and The Afterlife of Holly Chase! And I've been dreaming about owning those Harry Potter editions, too. You're definitely not alone there. It's so exciting that you finally have them! 😍
I completely understand, its my dream to get the series of unfortunate events series. I grew up with the books and never had enough money to buy it & I know many many people have it already but it’s definitely my dream to own the complete series one day!
Okay I love the light pastel makeup. living for it. Will defo check out scribd when I start audiobooks. I really want to try out Warcross and Wildcard as it sounds intriguing esp as a gamer. 30 Second Psychology sounds like an easy way to get into Psychology and learn a basis!
Emma, if you're a dork...I'm a dork. LOVED the dream books part - because I GET IT! I've been collecting other editions of HP - It is a thing for sure!!!
City of ghosts is one of my new favourite books! I may be biased though as it’s set where I live in Edinburgh:) she did my city so proud and the descriptions were on point! So happy you finally got your hands on the UK editions of Harry Potter!
I know exactly how you feel about Harry Potter! Last year, my mum surprised me with the original Bloomsbury UK first editions too and I was so touched I literally almost cried.
The only thing that is disappointing for scribd is that even tho they say you get to listen to an unlimited amount of audiobooks, they would hold a lot of the books you have saved hostage and make them available for the next month. Last month, I couldn’t even listen to most of the books I’ve saved up.
Oh thats so cool! I just got my original harry potter books in the mail last week! Mine aren't in such a good shape as yours but Im so happy with them! Ive been a fan since i was like 6 years old and my sister read the first few books to me (that was about 18 years ago already!) And after that my mom bought the audio books and I listened to those, but I never got to own the physical copies of the books myself and now i do! :D So Yeah I get your excitement!
in still in the first few minutes but from the picture of the video the second stack of books LITERALLY HAD THE PERFECT SIZES TO BE HARRY POTTER SO LETS SEE IF IM RIGHT
I WAS RIGHTTTT!!! my sister has those too and she loves them ❤️❤️ i originally read them from a different edition so those are more special to me but i’m so so happy you are so happy with these! makes me happy!! good for you ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I read city of ghost by victoria schwab and loved it! I still need to read amanda foody books, Black enough sounds amazing can't wait for it to come out, I just started reading the iron trial series and I read the first book and planning on reading the rest thanks to the audiobooks on my scribd app. I have a thousand beginnings and endings on my tbr shelf. I also have renegades on my shelf. I pre-order the lady's guide to petticoats and piracy! I'm dying to read escpaing from houdini! I just bought wildcard this month even though I haven't read Warcross yet!(:
The books that I am most excited for this month, are the V girl and sweet pea purely because they are the very first ARCs I have received!!! In print 😝
I preorder wicked king on good choice readings and I might be able to get the exclusive edition of them. I also received Circe which is super excited. But I received my most anticipated read of 2018, ESCAPING FROM HOUDINI!!!! My dream books are the original Harry Potter books and the original Percy Jackson series!
Oh my God! Just hearing you go on about these books makes me so excited and so happy and satisfied all at the same time! I'm very excited about the Lady's guide to Petticoats and Piracy. Also you're not a dork, just seeing you buy the original editions makes me want to buy them too. Ugh... I really want them too now!
I had those editions as a kid and we had like 5 copies because they kept falling apart because we all read them so much. Now I have nice shiny new ones but those ones will always be special to me
My dream books for me are the Outlander series in the edition that's like from 2005 or something, but at the moment, I'm half way through the series and have a few different editions between books, and it's just so wonderful to have like the most solid and beautiful editions of series that you love!! One day 🙏
i'm from the uk but didn't get into collecting books until a couple of years ago. i knew that i had to get the original covers of hp in hardback (even tho i prefer paperback) and i currently have 5/7. i'm only missing the first two and i'm still on the hunt!
Holding up those editions of the Harry Potter books, holding up my childhood right there. Maybe it's just an attachment thing as they're the editions I've read growing up, but I love those ones ❤️ I never had the adult version covers though, wow I'd completely forgotten about their existence! I recently bought City of Ghosts myself, can't wait to read it! They Lady's Guide to Petticoats and Piracy I have pre-ordered, can't wait!
IM SO EARLY Okay so my dream book that I’ve given up on because I’m just never going to find an edition I’m happy with, is the original cover of Percy Jackson and the Lightning theif. I have this thing where if I read a book in a specific cover I have to own that cover- because it’s part of the journey of me falling in love with the book and feeling drawn to it. So recently I couldn’t find it and I gave up, gave in, and completed my series with buying a new edition that kinda reminded me of the one I originally read about 9 almost 10 years ago. (Omg it’s really been that long. I feel so old!!!)
The dream books are special!! Its my goal to get my hands on those First UK editions of Harry Poter too!! It will happen one day. We are all dorks here 🤷🏻♀️
Well, if you're a dork, then so am I, because I did the EXACT SAME THING! Only using Thriftbooks instead of Abe, but still. It took me months to finally get a complete set of the UK editions in great condition, but I finally completed my set last year. I am so happy that you got your dream books, Emma, enjoy them! As a side note, I am now working on getting a complete hardcover set of the original UK adult hardbacks- those are hard to find! Well, I can find them, but the price! Sheesh!
Sometimes if I’m like hmmm I recognise that authors name where have I heard it before? I read it your voice and I’m like OOOHH emma mentioned it on her channel haha
Omg! I can't believe it! 😱This is such a huge coincidence! Cause I was looking for Harry Potter 1 through 4 uk editions just a few days ago on adebooks and other sites. I already own the three last books, but I neeeed the rest too. I haven't found the right ones yet but I am hoping to have them in my hands in October. They bring so many good memories ❤️
@emmmabooks. This is really exciting!!!! I'm so happy that u got to buy your dream books. Can't wait for your September wrap up!!!! Also, for quite sometime now, I've been kind of skeptical about getting the Stalking Jack the Ripper series because of the way that Google/good reads has described THIS SERIES. I'm in no way saying that good reads/ Google doesn't have have good book descriptions. They do. Its just that for THIS series (Stalking Jack the Ripper), in my opinion the description took away my feelings of wanting to buy THIS SERIES. But, after watching your description of THIS SERIES I think I might give it a try in the future... I'm also thinking of giving "A Thousand endings and beginnings a try as well because I would REALLY love to read about folklore more in books because I find that its really interesting and exciting to me... U are AMAZING EMMA!!!!!😊😊😊😊😊😊 Always remember that. I also really hope I get the chance to meet u in person one day. A message from your friend, Ki Dron Ramirez all the way from Trinidad and Tobago☺☺☺☺☺☺
Loved this book haul! I too am about to enter graduate school for a professional counseling degree, I’m definitely picking up that 30 second psychology book! Also I don’t think you’re a nerd for wanting those beautiful editions, you actually made me want to start searching for them 😂
I've got the HP Bloomsbury original books, most of which I've had since I was a kid (some I've had to replace due to how damaged they got or losing them when I've moved) and part of me wants to put them in a box and never touch them again because I'm scared of them being damaged and super hard / expensive to get a hold of. I've got quite a few first editions and my best friend has the super duper rare PS book with the other wizard on the back❤
I can’t wait for The Lady’s Guide to Petticoats and Piracy! Another sequel I’m excited to get to is Wild Card but the reviews aren’t near as good as they were for Warcross so I hope I’m not too disappointed!
It’s not at all silly to be that excited about those editions! My first set of the series was that exact one even though I live in the states - my grandparents are Scottish and would get them for me. I only have three left now after losing the rest to flooding and it still breaks my heart!
All the books I bought this month is used. I just love going to used bookstores and see what I can find. The only problem being that I live in Denmark and not a lot of the popular English books are translated. But I get lucky sometimes, with finding both English and Danish books. Like I found 'A Wrinkle in time' for under 1$ and it just came out in Denmark a couple of months ago!!! :o
I read a brand new book recently called 'The Perfect Stranger' by Emmie Spencer. And oh my god it is amazing. It is so powerful and beautifully written! Its a chic lit but it's also quite deep, it talks of abortions and self harm and feelings of no self worth. Its on kindle. Its amazing and I would highly highly recommend to everyone & I know you're a YA reader and so am I but honestly this was such an incredible book and because you talk mental health and read a lot of books like that and this book touches on it, I thought I would recommend to you. And I would recommend this book to everyonee !!
omg i spent like some ridiculous amount on the first two original artwork hard cover UK editions of the Harry Potter books so i feel you gal, i'm still to get the rest of the series in hard cover and the original artwork so i'm just as much as a dork as you!!
OH MY GOD EMMMA, I have been dreaming about the original UK hardcover editions of Harry Potter for years too, but I couldn't find it and since I'm from India many companies don't even ship here. I'm glad you got it and I feel how special this is.
i'm slowly trying to get new copies of all the UK original editions of the Harry Potter books in hardback, seeing as all of mine (apart from the Half Blood Prince) are either paperback, or not in the best condition as i've had them for years. luckily there's so many secondhand stores near me so i can keep an eye out for any there. my dream books though, are really just as many different editions of J.R.R. Tolkien's books as i can find (with certain editions that i want more than others). then another is really just to finally own each of the Warriors books by Erin Hunter in hardback until they become even harder to find, luckily i'm almost there though, only like 14 more to go (which seems like a lot, but considering how big the series is....)!
Not special? Well there not just special to you but to me because I have always wanted the original editions of the Harry Potter series so your not alone in thinking they're special. (Just like you Harry Potter is very special to me. Actually when my mom started reading books to me the first thing she read to me was the first Harry Potter books and then followed by Narnia. ) Another great video as always hope you have a great day.
I get you with the dream books. Ironically I have the original Bloomsbury editions of HP but am slowly replacing them with the Slytherin editions as they are being released. As for my dream books, the first is a copy of the illustrated Brief History of Time which I eventually treated myself to. My current dream book is a hardback edition of Lord of the Rings which I’m trying to justify spending £50 on... so far I haven’t talked myself into it but one day it will be mine!
bro when you kept going on about how your dream books weren't special or anything i was like yeah i feel that but i'm still interested and when you held up all seven hardcovers of the original bloomsbury harry potter books i YELLED
I live in the UK, I've always had these editions (4 in paperback, sadly), but in the last month, I've been obsessed with buying pretty much any copy (first edition for 4 up) I can find so I completely get it! I now have 2 Chamber of Secrets, 2 Goblet of Fires, 3 Half-Blood Princes and 2 Deathly Hallows!
Yay. I think you are the first booktube person outside of the UK who actually said Edinburgh the way I say it lol. I'm from Glasgow which isn't too far from Edinburgh.
Your little book nook background looks so cozy and adorable!
yay this book haul is so exciting!! i wasn't planning on reading city of ghosts but everyone has been gushing over the book so i think i might give it a try
readwithcindy I hope you do, because that review would be dope .
You definitely should! It was much better than I was expecting
i hope you enjoy it!

I swear your excitement for these books is contagious! I love that you got UK covers, that is commitment!
I always find myself loving UK covers more than US ones and my wallet cannot handle it lmao

thanks love :)

i loveeee this look
i still need to read renegades omg
i'm so glad you got your dream books finally! the set looks beautiful together.
Omg Emma I love the energy you put out. You always are legitimately excited about what you talk about.
It's really awesome that you got those copies of Harry Potter! I think it's great that you love something like that and were finally able to have it! And that edition of Daughter of the Burning City is so beautiful! I am obsessed!
How exciting to finally get your dream books!! My dream books are definitely the UK gorgeous paperback editions of TMI. They are so beautiful!

I am so excited for The Lady's Guide!
Interested to here why you didn't love Wildcard. I was obsessed with Warcross when it was out but have heard mixed things about Wildcard.
Omg Emma you've literally got me listening to Lil Peep 24/7 thanks for the great artist suggestion!! I'm obsessed with him now!!

Oh my gosh, I love how much you nerded out over the bloomsbury copies of Harry Potter!

Oh my gosh that's so amazing that you got those Harry Potter editions! I've wanted those so badly for so long too!
omg i feel you on the hp books, i live in Hungary, and i once found a first edition hardcover copy of Half Blood Prince in perfect condition for like 2 dollars, and i have been meaning to collect the whole series in this edition since then
omg the original bloomsbury harry potter books!!! I want those as well!!
wait can you do a video on your harry potter merch and paraphernalia??? That would be so cool!
Ohh great picks! I'll definitely have to check out Escaping from Houdini.
I grew up with the books and never had enough money to buy it & I know many many people have it already but it’s definitely my dream to own the complete series one day!
i hope you get them someday!!
ive collected a lot of them from thrift books! you can get them in good condition for really cheap, id check it out
Okay I love the light pastel makeup. living for it. Will defo check out scribd when I start audiobooks. I really want to try out Warcross and Wildcard as it sounds intriguing esp as a gamer. 30 Second Psychology sounds like an easy way to get into Psychology and learn a basis!
those aren't just the UK editions of harry potter. We had them in Canadian bookstores until the new covers came out
oh yes i'm aware they are also the Canadian editions! i'm just referring to the fact that they were first published in the uk with those covers :)
Jacqueline Kate yes I got the originals too in Canada!!
We have them in Australia as well I believe :)
Emma, if you're a dork...I'm a dork. LOVED the dream books part - because I GET IT! I've been collecting other editions of HP - It is a thing for sure!!!
I inherited my mum’s original editions of HP (the Bloomsbury ones) and there are so unbelievably special to me so I get you xx
Hi Emma the Harry Potter editions that you have are the ones I have read first and I still have them I was thrilled when you showed them ❤️❤️
The only thing that is disappointing for scribd is that even tho they say you get to listen to an unlimited amount of audiobooks, they would hold a lot of the books you have saved hostage and make them available for the next month.
:D So Yeah I get your excitement!
in still in the first few minutes but from the picture of the video the second stack of books LITERALLY HAD THE PERFECT SIZES TO BE HARRY POTTER SO LETS SEE IF IM RIGHT
WELL SEEEEEEEEE
Ugh... I really want them too now!
aw you are so sweet!
Oh my God I can't believe you replied! You're amazing! Love you Emma!
i really got 90s vibes from your eye makeup and the top and choker :)
I had those editions as a kid and we had like 5 copies because they kept falling apart because we all read them so much. Now I have nice shiny new ones but those ones will always be special to me
love your eyeshadow in this video! your makeup looks are always so good!
Love the video! The last time I lied is absolutely amazing. The ending gets me every time and this book has a permanent home in my collection.
thanks lovely!! i'm really enjoyed it so far :))
Maybe it's just an attachment thing as they're the editions I've read growing up, but I love those ones ❤️
I never had the adult version covers though, wow I'd completely forgotten about their existence!
I recently bought City of Ghosts myself, can't wait to read it!
They Lady's Guide to Petticoats and Piracy I have pre-ordered, can't wait!
A Thousand Beginnings and Endings sounds absolutely fascinating!
IM SO EARLY
Okay so my dream book that I’ve given up on because I’m just never going to find an edition I’m happy with, is the original cover of Percy Jackson and the Lightning theif. I feel so old!!!)
yay!!
Seeing you so happy always puts a smile on my face. Congrats on getting Harry Potter UK editions
thanks lovely :)
I plan on reaching most of these books and the Bloomsbury Harry Potter editions are on my dream book list too
The dream books are special!! Its my goal to get my hands on those First UK editions of Harry Poter too!! It will happen one day. We are all dorks here 🤷🏻♀️
So glad to find another person who uses Scribd! :)
YES BOOK HAUL FROM EMMA !!! My day isn’t going to get better than this !! LOVE YOU EMMA ❤️❤️
have a lovely day!!
Sheesh!
I’ve been watching your videos for so long I read book titles and authors in your voice when I’m shopping 😂
Sometimes if I’m like hmmm I recognise that authors name where have I heard it before? I read it your voice and I’m like OOOHH emma mentioned it on her channel haha
As I'm from the UK and always got Harry Potter books as they were released my editions that I grew up with are so beaten! (Well, well loved)
Hey! Sawkill Girls by Claire Legrand that comes out in October has an Ace main character!!! And it’s done amazingly well!
This is aesthetically pleasing:) ,I love the title of this video emma. I assume more mortal instrument books lmao.
I totally understand how important editions and versions can be even if they are really popular!
A message from your friend,
Ki Dron Ramirez all the way from Trinidad and Tobago☺☺☺☺☺☺
Loved this book haul! I too am about to enter graduate school for a professional counseling degree, I’m definitely picking up that 30 second psychology book! Also I don’t think you’re a nerd for wanting those beautiful editions, you actually made me want to start searching for them 😂
I've got the HP Bloomsbury original books, most of which I've had since I was a kid (some I've had to replace due to how damaged they got or losing them when I've moved) and part of me wants to put them in a box and never touch them again because I'm scared of them being damaged and super hard / expensive to get a hold of. I've got quite a few first editions and my best friend has the super duper rare PS book with the other wizard on the back❤
I love the way you sound!😍
It's relaxing to hear and watch your videos!😍
aw thanks so much!!
I can’t wait for The Lady’s Guide to Petticoats and Piracy! Another sequel I’m excited to get to is Wild Card but the reviews aren’t near as good as they were for Warcross so I hope I’m not too disappointed!
it's gonna be so great!
ah i hope you do enjoy wildcard anyways!
It’s not at all silly to be that excited about those editions! My first set of the series was that exact one even though I live in the states - my grandparents are Scottish and would get them for me. I only have three left now after losing the rest to flooding and it still breaks my heart!
awh i'm so sorry you lost some of them but that's such a sweet story :)
And I would recommend this book to everyonee !!
wow that sounds really great, thank you for the recommendation!
you got the lady's guide! i can't wait fot he book to be released
omg i spent like some ridiculous amount on the first two original artwork hard cover UK editions of the Harry Potter books so i feel you gal, i'm still to get the rest of the series in hard cover and the original artwork so i'm just as much as a dork as you!!
My book collector's dream is to find a first edition "catcher in the rye" 😍
OH MY GOD EMMMA, I have been dreaming about the original UK hardcover editions of Harry Potter for years too, but I couldn't find it and since I'm from India many companies don't even ship here. I'm glad you got it and I feel how special this is.
awh i hope you get them someday lovely :)
I love seeing people so excited like this 🍀🍀
i'm slowly trying to get new copies of all the UK original editions of the Harry Potter books in hardback, seeing as all of mine (apart from the Half Blood Prince) are either paperback, or not in the best condition as i've had them for years. luckily there's so many secondhand stores near me so i can keep an eye out for any there.
my dream books though, are really just as many different editions of J.R.R.
I read Warriors too!!!😊🐈
I love wintergirls I’ve read it three times. I also NEED city of ghosts
Not special? Well there not just special to you but to me because I have always wanted the original editions of the Harry Potter series so your not alone in thinking they're special. (Just like you Harry Potter is very special to me. Actually when my mom started reading books to me the first thing she read to me was the first Harry Potter books and then followed by Narnia. ) Another great video as always hope you have a great day.
aw i hope you can get them some day!
Thanks I'm hoping so too but I will probably will be just a picky about the condition.
I’ve been reading renegades and I’m so excited for the sequel
Emma literally looks like a whimsical modern angel...
I live in the UK, I've always had these editions (4 in paperback, sadly), but in the last month, I've been obsessed with buying pretty much any copy (first edition for 4 up) I can find so I completely get it! I now have 2 Chamber of Secrets, 2 Goblet of Fires, 3 Half-Blood Princes and 2 Deathly Hallows!
that is awesome!!
Yay. I think you are the first booktube person outside of the UK who actually said Edinburgh the way I say it lol. I'm from Glasgow which isn't too far from Edinburgh.
It's cool that you got your dream books! Hurrah! Yay happiness.
