Excellent presentation...... the best by far of the many OX Stomp videos I've seen. I would agree that it's unfortunate there's no preset storing/sharing (yet?). Keep up your good work and Thank You. 😎
I purchased the OX Stomp a couple of days ago, and it's a fantastic-sounding tool. I'm more than happy with it. My only wish is that UA would create a PC version of the UA Connect App and allow the device to connect via USB. Operating my Two Notes CAB M from my studio PC is much more convenient than using my Android tablet to connect the OX Stomp and dealing with the not always stable Bluetooth connection each time I start it up.
Got mine yesterday. Running it with Fryette PS 2 , both the line out ( with an XLR to TS adapter) and the FX send going into my DAWThen using UA Ruby into OX Stomp into Line 6 Powercab + . Also used my Strymon Iridium.. One important thing not mentioned is that OX Stomp is a buffered output so works well with longer cable runs. Works exceptionally well with all of them. Spent an hour just on one model. First time a piece of gear has sounded like the demos.
Cool video. The intro had me pause for a moment - I just realized I consider myself an 'old school guy'. Growing up in the 80s hard rock / metal frenzy. So not THAT old. 🙂
Thanks so much for this great review! I'd love to hear it with preamp pedals of all stripes, from Joyo on up to Iridium. Oh, and the new TC Ampworx pedals!
Best OX stomp video yet, the only thing I’m missing, is having a true A/B using the internal IRs in a Woodrow or Dream65, then turning off the cab sim and using the ox stomp. How much better does it actually sound!?!?
Thanks Henning!! A very informative and great, great review.... as usual. I'm thinking about using the OX Stomp with my Hughes & Kettner TuberMeister 20 instead of using the RedBox... (I acquired my TubeMeister at Thomann after seeing your excellent review... and i'm very satisfied with it. Danke!!) Could this get me much better tones? What's your opinion, please... Thanks a lot and a big hug from Barcelona!
I might be missing something, but doesn’t the Captor X let you do both? It has the ability to change cabs and speakers and mic and positions on the fly, and do all of the modeling like the Ox, but it also lets you load your own IR if you prefer. That’s why I always picked that over the ox, because it gives me both abilities, along with XLR stereo out.
The DynIRs are also IRs but a better way to go through them by just loving the mics. It’s a great system. I do like the speaker modeling that UA does a bit more…. It’s close though. Two Notes does a great job. The built in FX in the OX push it to No. 1 for me.
My ox box is fizzy sounding with high gain, like digital clipping. Will running the fryette into the ox stomp fix this, if the fryette is handling the load? It seems like the ox box doesn't have enough headroom.
It’s the reason I ordered one. It should arrive soon, so I’ll check it out. I’ve been sending my signal into UA Console and bypassing the amp/poweramp of the UA plugins to use the signal chain of the given amp selected.
Finally is right. Finally something more than 20 mins to dig into something like this. Like you, my Ox has 3 standards that I use over and over again for 90% of things. The preset sharing is annoying, my two Ox's like you I had to do the screenshot dance but this thing looks like the pedal board back end I have been looking for. Question - do you feel it loses much without a power amp sim on preamp pedals??
You did touch base with the “amp-in-a-box” setup using the Woodrow. Would have liked to have seen it paired with a third party box, e.g., Origin Effects or Tech 21, to hear your thoughts on whether it complements those products. That said, mine is on order from Sweetwater. So, I’ll be able to judge for myself.
Hi! Thanks for the review! Could you tell (me/us?) whether one is goint to able to re-create the Sound of UAFX Ruby's "Room"? I tested the Ruby some days ago in a shop and was really stunned by this room feature! The only thing is, that i didn't quite like the other features, like the Gain and EQ section. Gain was too noisy, even on rather low gain and EQ was too unintuative . Now I'm thinking about buying a used Iridium and wait for the OX stomp to give me the room feeling of Ruby. greetings!
Good video, nicely explained! Looking at these prices (especially when it comes to loadboxes) i'll probably stick to my cheap way for a while longer until i want to afford the CaptorX before even thinking about the Ox Stomp.
Im holding out that they produce more preamp & cabsim pedals - i love my dream, and I'm happy with its preamp/cabsim combinations - what i really want is a marshall or something i can get heavy with but in the same form as the dream with nicely pair cabsims - I could use a preamp into the ox.. but I feel like as soon as I buy the Ox they will release the pedal im actually looking for.
As ALWAYS…fantastic review! Funny, but essentially none of the shortcomings will affect my specific usage needs. I don’t tour or gig - I record in my home studio or others’ studios - and no MIDI is not an issue for me. So, all that to say it’s perfect for my needs. I also own a Two Notes C.A.B. Hi Mr. Eytsch, can the ox pedal reverb, delay comp compete with the golden reverbrator, and the othe stand alone UAFX Pedals? (I once critisized you for your video of the UAFX Del-Verb, which I have to admit can't compete withe the single pedal versions, and so I don't like it too : )
The one thing that worries me about a product like this is that you are relying on an iPhone or iPad with this. If you don’t have that or those devices are old and the software is not supported anymore due to iOS changes, then the pedal is close to useless if you know what I mean. Would e at least nice if there was a PC/Mac app as well but still I guess the same would apply there as well. It is the same issue I have with modeling microphones too. Once the software is not supported then the mic just is what it is.
Mega Review!
The way Universal Audio goes about their software makes me fear that most of their devices will become e-waste in 10 years or less. I hope they get better in that aspect, because no matter how good they sound I stay away for now. When I invest in gear I want it to be long-term. Apps requiring internet always die, apps requiring a web store always die and mobile only apps are the worst. And this makes me sad, because otherwise I'd love their products.
This was a fantastic review. Thank you for doing such a thorough deep dive. Question though: The Ox Stomp documentation states you could take the effects send or line level pre out of your amp into the input of the Ox Stomp but doesn't say anything about needing a load box for these examples. Did you happen to test this to see what the experience is?
@@EytschPi42 Appreciate the reply! I have the 5150 iconic combo with a pre out and a switch to mute the power amp. My intention was to mute the power amp and use the pedal for the emulation. In theory, this should work since I'm not intending to disconnect my amp from the speaker, correct?
Hi, can you turn OFF the cabinet emulation/selection on the OX Stomp to just rely on the mic colouration and reverbs, etc? I ask this because I was thinking of pairing this with one of UAFX other pedals, like say the Dream or the Woodrow, which already have their own built-in cabinet selections specific to their amps.
I have an OXBOX and im noticing in the video that the user interface of the app for OX STOMP looks different than the one for OXBOX. I guess it's fine as long as it provides the same goodies under the hood. Im seriously thinking about selling my OXBOX and getting the Fryette power station and an ox stomp. Loving that new Friedman IR-X through ox stomp too. Too many good goodies!
Hi Henning i was thinking would IT make Sense to use the ox stomp with EG a uad AMP sim and Route it in the following way, Out of the uad Apollo them into the ox stomp, stereo Out of the ox stomp and then stereo into the uad Apollo? Would that Work? In this way using a modeller fromm the Computer as such. Thanks a Lot😊
@@EytschPi42 Hi Henning thanks a Lot for taking time to reply i appreciate IT😊 but don't you think the modelled cabs etc are better in the ox stomp? Cheers.
@@EytschPi42 thanks for your reply , are OK thanks, so in your opinion the room Sound in ocean way and the room Sound in the ox are of similar quality, none IS better than the other in your opinion? Cheers. Big Fan of your Reviews and honnesty. 😊 thanks for your Work😊
Lg
A question : which is for the best amp pedal pairing for this pedal for blues /rockblues for bedroom player using headphones and sound card? I mean: dream 65 / Friedman irx / new DSM simplifier x... I would not enter in the rabbit hole of IR (so maybe not ACS1 / IRIDIUM..) Thanks
I have an adapter to do stereo out to headphones on a Ruby 63 and it’s just not enough drive for the headphones I have. I ended up outputting to a headphone amp
Is this primarily a recording device? Would you use this with a tube amp? An FRFR? I play a deluxe reverb with 6 pedals. Trying to figure out what value this has for me? HELP
Even though there is no midi....Im buying this...if it is like the dream 65's cab sim....I am good. No midi but still more interactive than the cab M+ I've been using. Honestly, I use amps a lot so the cab sim pedal is the least often used pedal on my board for sure...but it sounds amazing
Would be possible, to use the ox stomp only as effect pedal in the fx loop of an amp? Well, possible for sure, but would the line level of the stomps out fit the fx in of an amp?
I'm asking because I found my perfect fitting Amp , cab and speaker, but love the outstanding Reverb, Comp and Delay from the Ox. So it would be perfect, to only use the ox as an fx-pedal without the simulation of cabs and speaker. So at elast there are 2 questions: 1. posiible to turn the sim off, 2.) line level practical for an fx in of an amp? Could you check this Henning? Ore someone in the community? I can imagine that a lot of peaople would use the ox like this...@@EytschPi42
So a plain "dummy load" box like a Weber Mass or Hot Plate would provide a speaker load to a real amp- then you have a recording solution as good as loadbox/amp behavior is, and then as good as cab sim by UA is, which you are saying is very very good. I am just trying to make sure I have the "old guy with tube amp" use case correct. You're a good teacher, I'm just particularly remedial in this subject.
The only thing i miss in this box is their excellent spring reverb. The headphone out and aux in problem i solved with a cheap ass soundboard/audio interface from ammoon with my Dream 65. I wish i could afford this thing in conjunction with the Origin Effects Revival Drive.
Genau mein setting.
@@brianholden2185 I am using it, but you know... "It could be better". But in these last few months I'm more happy with it, I've accepted the fact that I find only three out of eight amp models useful, and one out of three bass amp models. I'm more happy with the sound now than earlier. It's like... Why chase the dragon? There's no perfect tone, but it's close enough!
You would be missing power amp simulation you can get from the CabM+ or Strymon Iridium though. It would probably work however. Probably not the best use case. Maybe ask UA directly if they would recommend it.
Thanks for the enthusiastic review and insights. :-) So to take advantage of the features in this pedal, I need to buy a tablet? A base model iPad is currently about $450 US dollars (and a terrible investment - in fact the tablet market is in steep decline). So now we're close to $900. Add a load box and attenuator, and this solution is a no go. More than any other company, UA has the ability to get us both excited and disappointed at the same time. I've been considering the OX box for some time now, but it feels like it's soon to become obsolete, and I am not seeing any investment in that product, other than the addition of... a foot switch? And now they're even more expensive. Who's at the helm of this company, and what is their strategy?? I get the sense they don't know their market very well. Dear UA, we're not all retired dentists with piles of cash to burn.
@@EytschPi42 Alright, I was just asking because you said in you were going to review them in another UA pedal video (don't remember which one). :D Really enjoy your videos, keep it up!
I love the idea of connecting by Bluetooth to expand the capability, BUT I have 5 UA pedals and I've never gotten any of them to work. So far my phone has recognized one of the pedals, but the app will not connect, open, do anything it should. If they didn't sound so good out of the box, I'd send them all back.
I was able to connect by USB and update all the pedals - the Max had 2! - but no luck with Bluetooth after and I can't access the pedal functions by USB either. Trying to contact UA is almost impossible. Every link goes to FAQs. Useless. I'm starting to record at home and the Ox Box seems perfect, but it doesn't seem like I'll be able to REALLY use it.@@EytschPi42
it sounds very good but from a product design perspective and thinking in use cases I can not even believe how many essential things (that others already established) they left out - home/headphone/practise/jam: no HP out, no aux in, no bt audio. (Two Notes Cab M+], would be great behind my Suhr RL to silent practise my tube head with stereo room (now this works with Iridium and deactivated ampsim) - live: no SPEAKER LVL THROUGH (like Cab M or BluBox), no XLR or even TRS Balanced out (also Cab M or Blubox), no POWER AMP EMULATION they even advertise it for tube pres on the pedalboard ( Cab M has this, also Friedman IR-X has this), could have pulled out my Damage Control/Strymon Womanizer Tube Pre or a Victory,…. - Studio: ok no digital out ? how many conversions do you want? no XLR/balanced out, Studio would also need PC Editor or do you want the sound eng. search on a phone? - no BASS cab emulation - How does UA approach product design? Thinking from the user and use cases would be a start. scratching my head, waiting for mk II ? ? In this state you would also need extra devices like a good headphone amp/a small mixer, a walrus canvas, a Suhr Iso (for spk level to line)… EDIT: thanks for the video Henning
Ok, I made it to 14 minutes before falling asleep.... No Henning, its not you, its me! All this IR, load box, OX thing just goes way out of my comfort zone and, I really wanted to learn something, I just cant do it! 🙂
I must admit first reaction was WTF. No MIDI, no XLRs, no recording interface. Then I thought about it. I play mostly through my JVM410HJS full stack through a Boss TAE. The Boss TAE is great for my needs but recording my set up is just clunky and robs me of all creativity. I have line outputs, I hate the idea of collecting IR's, I want a great sound and importantly I want a tactile experience. This box could provide all of that. Perhaps the only downsides are all the extra audio cables (and extra cost). An alternative to this later on would be to find a (good) stereo power amp emulator pedal so then I could exploit the stereo outs of the Eventide H90. It's got me thinking and if the Eater of 42 Pies says it's good then it must be.
Henning you should work as a consultant to these companies..YOU know!!!What we need...No Midi or Headphones?...These people are they players?..You would make a fortune!
Fuck yes just got mine. Amazing difference had the waza meh. I bought the ox top box. No sim cabs through the speaker output. This pedal is a bad mfer with the lion 68 in front of it into a Marshall.
@EytschPi42 so my current setup is a marshall dsl40cr, effects into the loop, fuzz lion unobtanium ox stomp direct to the input. I disable the cab feature on the lion when I use it. I have the boss Tae not in love with it. I won't ever record so do you have a setup you would recommend. This is a rabbit hole. I have $$$ but don't want to be stupid. I was told to go waza into a frfr.
Hi Henning just love your no bullshit reviews but I must admit all the tech talk left be in a spin, loving the sounds of the ox but I'm only a bedroom player with an amp pedal and guitar nothing more technical than that so do I take it this is of no use to players with simple rigs like me.
@@EytschPi4242 I use as probably simple as you can get guitar into amp then out the speaker no techno wizardry used at all just never been too keen on anything with too many knobbies cables and lots of twiddling just caveman stuff really 🤣
The lack of a desktop app is baffling. This pedal is total overkill for a live board. No one needs a room sound when you are playing a gig in a room. A back end compressor isn’t wise for most live situations because it makes volume boosts not work. The lack of midi will have the player tap dancing if they want to take advantage of the preset switches. Like having a clean sound through a fender cab with chorus and reverb, and a dirty sound through a dry 4x12. In practice is is a set and forget cab sim, and you can get there with an IR loader pedal. It is really for recording as it is a virtual amp room and recording chain. Neither of which you need live, as you are playing in a room and are plugged into a mixing desk. I am quite keen to get one as I go have an amp head running into a load box with no IR capability. So it would fit right in. But it is hell expensive as well.
Interesting comment about the higher gain sound of Woodrow being different using the Ox Stomp. If you use the DI box on the room and mics in OX Stomp you still get the effects, so figured I’d do that and use the Ruby cabs… sounded nothing like the OX Stomp models. Guess the speaker models in the amp, pedals are different, perhaps more like traditional IRs?
Hands down, you give the best gear reviews on RUclips!

Apps requiring internet always die, apps requiring a web store always die and mobile only apps are the worst. And this makes me sad, because otherwise I'd love their products.
UA are magnificent.
You don't need internet. It's an option. Besides that internet will always stay. Fear is love from the Devil.
You do not need an Internet connection to use these. If they sound good they will just keep sounding good.
I honestly have no idea what you’re trying to convey. It’s phenomenal without hesitation. Internet?!? Apps?!? WTF….
What’s your point this video is about a pedal.
You can do that, but your amp still needs a load, unless you are not using the power amp or have it on standby
Yes, that should be fine
Hi, can you turn OFF the cabinet emulation/selection on the OX Stomp to just rely on the mic colouration and reverbs, etc?
I ask this because I was thinking of pairing this with one of UAFX other pedals, like say the Dream or the Woodrow, which already have their own built-in cabinet selections specific to their amps.
You can chose DI instead of mic ant that gives you only the FX, but not the mics
Thanks a Lot😊
you could do that, but usually those sims have good cabs already.
@@EytschPi42 Hi Henning thanks a Lot for taking time to reply i appreciate IT😊 but don't you think the modelled cabs etc are better in the ox stomp? Cheers.
@@EytschPi42If i do it that way could i experience latency due to the Routing? Cheers
Excellent Review
Hi Henning great Demo thanks. How does this room compare to the uad ocean way Plugin? Cheers
Gooood question.... the Ocean Way is THE SHIT and I think the room sounds so good in the OX because they are applying something similar here.
@@EytschPi42 thanks for your reply , are OK thanks, so in your opinion the room Sound in ocean way and the room Sound in the ox are of similar quality, none IS better than the other in your opinion? Cheers. Big Fan of your Reviews and honnesty. 😊 thanks for your Work😊
Why didnt you touch the Speacker Drive knob?
Because I don't really hear a difference when I do
@@EytschPi42 totally acceptable, thanks
So if you like to use your own fx, headphones, a thru and a XLR out, you are better off with the ENGL Cabloader?
TS outputs? Wouldn’t u need DI box to go direct FOH?
yes you would
A question : which is for the best amp pedal pairing for this pedal for blues /rockblues for bedroom player using headphones and sound card? I mean: dream 65 / Friedman irx / new DSM simplifier x... I would not enter in the rabbit hole of IR (so maybe not ACS1 / IRIDIUM..) Thanks
UA Lion
I have an adapter to do stereo out to headphones on a Ruby 63 and it’s just not enough drive for the headphones I have. I ended up outputting to a headphone amp
What is your opinion about using OX Stomp with Hughes & Kettner GM or TM using the RedBox ?
Should work
Genau
@@EytschPi42 vielen Dank
Would this improve my Tonex sounds?
Is this primarily a recording device? Would you use this with a tube amp? An FRFR? I play a deluxe reverb with 6 pedals. Trying to figure out what value this has for me? HELP
With a tube amp you‘d need a loadbox and then your use would be for recording
If you're not recording, you'll have no use for it at all.
Why isn't this XLR/line level out? Could you plug it directly into FOH?
Even though there is no midi....Im buying this...if it is like the dream 65's cab sim....I am good. No midi but still more interactive than the cab M+ I've been using. Honestly, I use amps a lot so the cab sim pedal is the least often used pedal on my board for sure...but it sounds amazing
Would be possible, to use the ox stomp only as effect pedal in the fx loop of an amp? Well, possible for sure, but would the line level of the stomps out fit the fx in of an amp?
Good question
I'm asking because I found my perfect fitting Amp , cab and speaker, but love the outstanding Reverb, Comp and Delay from the Ox. So it would be perfect, to only use the ox as an fx-pedal without the simulation of cabs and speaker. So at elast there are 2 questions: 1. posiible to turn the sim off, 2.) line level practical for an fx in of an amp? Could you check this Henning? Ore someone in the community? I can imagine that a lot of peaople would use the ox like this...@@EytschPi42
Would that thing sounds great with an kemper?
So a plain "dummy load" box like a Weber Mass or Hot Plate would provide a speaker load to a real amp- then you have a recording solution as good as loadbox/amp behavior is, and then as good as cab sim by UA is, which you are saying is very very good. I am just trying to make sure I have the "old guy with tube amp" use case correct. You're a good teacher, I'm just particularly remedial in this subject.
yes, that is fully correct
The only thing i miss in this box is their excellent spring reverb. The headphone out and aux in problem i solved with a cheap ass soundboard/audio interface from ammoon with my Dream 65.
I wish i could afford this thing in conjunction with the Origin Effects Revival Drive.
Genau mein setting.
OX not rack mountable because it needs ventilation, I’m thinking
I just need a good amp modeller, preferably not the UA stuff, but something with the connectivity features of the Boss IR-200. Any tips?
why not just use the ir 200?
@@brianholden2185 I am using it, but you know... "It could be better". But in these last few months I'm more happy with it, I've accepted the fact that I find only three out of eight amp models useful, and one out of three bass amp models. I'm more happy with the sound now than earlier. It's like... Why chase the dragon? There's no perfect tone, but it's close enough!
Would this work with a Syngergy SYN-2?
No powe ramp, just SYN-2 to the OX Stomp
You would be missing power amp simulation you can get from the CabM+ or Strymon Iridium though. It would probably work however. Probably not the best use case. Maybe ask UA directly if they would recommend it.
you are the best!
Surely the best bang-for-buck setup is an original Captor load box (not the Captor X ) into an Ox Stomp?
yes
Where is the Apollo plug-in version? Users have been asking for years. I really like Luna but don’t use it because UA doesn’t even have an IR loader.
Yes… this as a plugin would be awesome
Wouldn’t this product make the OX Box redundant except for the load box portion which can be easily replaced by say a Captor 😢
yes
I am using a Syn-2 icm with a Helix and the IR loader in Helix. This would be great instead of the IR loader. And yes no midi is an huge flaw.
Android or iOS phone works as well
This is just a review of the pedal. All of that peripheral stuff is for everyone to work out on their own. 🤷♂️
Are you still going to review the Volt interfaces?
I use them, but no reviews
@@EytschPi42 Alright, I was just asking because you said in you were going to review them in another UA pedal video (don't remember which one). :D Really enjoy your videos, keep it up!
On the headphone "issue", why not just just use the headphone output on your Audio Interface?
Ok...sooo...the app for ox stomp is a mobile only app? Is it Android compatible?
Yes
This could be an awesome tool into my syn-1! Bypass the speaker modelling into this
Is it posible to charge third IR on it?
no
I love the idea of connecting by Bluetooth to expand the capability, BUT I have 5 UA pedals and I've never gotten any of them to work. So far my phone has recognized one of the pedals, but the app will not connect, open, do anything it should. If they didn't sound so good out of the box, I'd send them all back.
You should really talk to them and find out what’s wrong. Have you updated the pedals via the desktop software?
I was able to connect by USB and update all the pedals - the Max had 2! - but no luck with Bluetooth after and I can't access the pedal functions by USB either. Trying to contact UA is almost impossible. Every link goes to FAQs. Useless. I'm starting to record at home and the Ox Box seems perfect, but it doesn't seem like I'll be able to REALLY use it.@@EytschPi42
Power down/off ur phone for a moment then power it up/on… then the app should connect as it did for me 👍.
@@craigoriopequeño505 I'll give it a try, thanks.
it sounds very good but from a product design perspective and thinking in use cases I can not even believe how many essential things (that others already established) they left out
- home/headphone/practise/jam: no HP out, no aux in, no bt audio. (Two Notes Cab M+], would be great behind my Suhr RL to silent practise my tube head with stereo room (now this works with Iridium and deactivated ampsim)
- live: no SPEAKER LVL THROUGH (like Cab M or BluBox), no XLR or even TRS Balanced out (also Cab M or Blubox), no POWER AMP EMULATION they even advertise it for tube pres on the pedalboard ( Cab M has this, also Friedman IR-X has this), could have pulled out my Damage Control/Strymon Womanizer Tube Pre or a Victory,….
- Studio: ok no digital out ? how many conversions do you want? no XLR/balanced out, Studio would also need PC Editor or do you want the sound eng. search on a phone?
- no BASS cab emulation
-
How does UA approach product design? Thinking from the user and use cases would be a start.
scratching my head, waiting for mk II ? ?
In this state you would also need extra devices like a good headphone amp/a small mixer, a walrus canvas, a Suhr Iso (for spk level to line)…
EDIT: thanks for the video Henning
Kemper with Kabinet?
Ok, I made it to 14 minutes before falling asleep.... No Henning, its not you, its me! All this IR, load box, OX thing just goes way out of my comfort zone and, I really wanted to learn something, I just cant do it! 🙂
When your tracking your going layer the guitars anyway...so if you layer the cabs just right Vola!
They get me. No headphones, no midi, no problem. $400? I guess they don't get me after all 😢
Ah! I was waiting for this video...and I better make coffee.....
No desktop editor! Why!? It sounds great, but I don’t see why anyone would buy this over a Captor X
The sounds and FX are why I feel this is the better product. In every other respect it isn't.
Nice song😎
Cool! I wonder if pairing this with my ToneX will improve the sound and, more important, feel
Only if the amps were profiled without a cab
@@EytschPi42 good point, thank you
Henning you should work as a consultant to these companies..YOU know!!!What we need...No Midi or Headphones?...These people are they players?..You would make a fortune!
Two words, industry Standard 🤘🏽
All the bits, and beach dogs!
Bro where TF can I get that cactus shirt???

Two Notes will release the successor of the Cab M+ in November. Just saying.
let's see what they are doing with it
I like when you say speaker simulator. Smooch to the booch.
Fuck yes just got mine. Amazing difference had the waza meh. I bought the ox top box. No sim cabs through the speaker output. This pedal is a bad mfer with the lion 68 in front of it into a Marshall.
“Into a Marshall” ?
You don’t use this with amps.
You don’t simulate cabs into an actual cab.
That is not what these are made for… it can’t work…
@EytschPi42 i am running it into the clean channel, without any issues. Sounds like it should to me
@EytschPi42 so my current setup is a marshall dsl40cr, effects into the loop, fuzz lion unobtanium ox stomp direct to the input. I disable the cab feature on the lion when I use it. I have the boss Tae not in love with it. I won't ever record so do you have a setup you would recommend. This is a rabbit hole. I have $$$ but don't want to be stupid. I was told to go waza into a frfr.
No headphone out is a bummer
Hi Henning just love your no bullshit reviews but I must admit all the tech talk left be in a spin, loving the sounds of the ox but I'm only a bedroom player with an amp pedal and guitar nothing more technical than that so do I take it this is of no use to players with simple rigs like me.
I think it is of massive use for players like you... how do you monitor? Audio Interface and Speakers? Headphones? FRFR?
@@EytschPi4242 I use as probably simple as you can get guitar into amp then out the speaker no techno wizardry used at all just never been too keen on anything with too many knobbies cables and lots of twiddling just caveman stuff really 🤣
That's a whole lot of pedal!
