Why can't Sam see that Jason told Danny not to tell ANYONE, especially Sam because he was trying to protect everyone from being accessories to everything he's accused of.
It should be made clear to Sam that Jason didn’t involve Danny, Danny found Jason, it wasn’t like Jason had a choice and picked Danny and then told Danny to lie. If it was up to Jason, Danny would have never been involved, hell, he tried to get Danny to leave as soon as he could.

Sam's desire to have a baby with Jason was built on an understanding that they wanted to build a better life for Danny than how they lived their lives. Not a life that ignored what Jason does for a living, but a life where Danny could live for a thrill, but doing so the right way. One where Danny could be a fun-loving kid, with a good head on his shoulders. Jason's choice of career does not overrule Sam's responsibility as a mother. A line needed to be drawn. Danny can help his father without doing so behind her back and without breaking the law. If Sam were to encourage Danny to help Jason, it could lead to consequences for Danny legally. He is just a kid. It's not his place to deal with heavy stuff like that. I am sure that if Jason were honest with Sam from the beginning, she would have worked out a way for their son to contact his father by the correct means that would not endanger Danny. It was wrong for Jason to insist that Danny not tell Sam. She is the parent who's been raising him on her own to build a relationship to where Danny could come to Sam in times of trouble. Jason telling Danny to lie to her undermined that trust Sam needs to have with Danny in order to protect him. No kid should be put in the middle of their parents like that. If Sam - a grown woman can not help Jason in this situation, then there is no way a young man Danny's age should be involved in Jason's conflict. Had this script been written with common sense, Jason would have informed Sam of his situation through Danny to avoid this kind of tension. She could have found a way to help Jason, that didn't put their son at risk. Oh, and one more thing, let's try to remember this a long game thing. Sure, he didn't leave them by choice, but Jason was gone, and it was his own choices that led him to the situation he is in. If there is ever to be a reconciliation between them, he is going to have to face some hard truths, like it or not. Say what yall want, but this type of angst is where we really get to see Kelly and Steve play off one another on screen. The pure emotional that has been built through their characters' history really is reflected during times like this.

And let’s be real here, you say Sam could help Jason without risking Danny but she couldn’t because Danny would still know and by not saying anything he would still be doing something illegal. So the idea that she could have found a way without risking Danny is just not possible by the mere fact that Danny was the one who found Jason. So at the end of the day Jason and Sam would have been risking Danny anyways, unless Sam just decided to turn Jason into the cops.

To protect Sam or not, Jason doesn't get to decide what Sam deserves to know or not know. It wasn't it call to make. And as for fewer people knowing, then he shouldn't have gone to Michael or Carly at all. Jason's been shot before and knows how to care for himself under the circumstances. This writing literally ignores all past history of what he has experienced from his terrible habit of getting shots to Jason repeatedly calling the shots for people that he shouldn't be making decisions for. I get Sam’s frustration on her motherly stand point. I get it however, she knows Jason. She knows how this stuff works and again I get it, she’s over that life but she should know better than to warn Jason away from Danny. She’s doing what Carly did in the past and she even let Carly know she was being unreasonable.

Nina Will telling Sonny that it was ava convinced her to get the sec on Carly and drew caine I being to not like Ava. She's trying to set up Sonny play with his minds . Umm Elizabeth switched Danny’s paternity test. Sam knows she was wrong and was very regretful. She was having a literal breakdown, just like Elizabeth was when she switched the paternity tests. No one on this show is Mary Poppins .
Sam is a done character except to ride off with Dante maybe! She’s filler and has been for last two years! Also Sam you’re over reacting and Dante will tell the truth and you will be apologizing to Jason! Too bad they wrote Britt in a corner and killed her off. She had actual chemistry with Jason.
