What for months has been a simmering border crisis between Israel and the forces of Hezbollah in neighbouring Lebanon has escalated into a much more deadly conflict. More than a thousand people are dead and hundreds of thousands are displaced. Now, the crisis threatens to engulf nearby countries and spark a catastrophic regional war.
The BBC's Beirut correspondent Carine Torbey, who grew up in Lebanon, explains through extensive on the ground reporting how the past few weeks have brought the Middle East to a dangerous new moment.

This is a disappointing piece of journalism from the BBC, a service expected to uphold neutrality and honesty. Sadly, I doubt many of us are surprised anymore.
You leave out the fact that Hizballah by previous UN resolution is supposed to be situated north of the litani river. Instead they below it, next to the Israeli border and they bombard Israel, forcing Israelis to evacuate northern Israel.

By looks of things it seems Israel is forced to strike Lebanon city. Its seems it unavailable not keast because the Lebanon government allowed Hezbollah to entrenched across from the rural communities to urban and the city, so no need to blame Israel, blame yourself for the compromise, complacent and inactions from both the government, parliament and civil societies.
