I have several RC 1/16 scale German tanks and find that 1/18 scale Marauder Task Force WW2 German soldiers (4 inches tall) works well with them. Thanks for sharing your collection.
Wow Robert. Listen Robert , you've got to start a club with other enthusiasts to help complete these. This is to large in ever painting and completely. You'll be happier, socializing more, getting others involve who can continue. I built 1/32 and 1/48 axis men , armour , vehicles, horses = 200. Now I'm wondering who will love it and maintain it.
I’ve admired your collection for quite a while. I’m curious on where can I find Sdkfz drivers?? Especially after the one for your Diana?? I’m having a Sdkfz 7 flakverling built for me by a friend and I really like that driver.
You could have built the entire inventories of the US army from ww1 and ww2, korea, vietnam, panama, gulf war, oif, Afghanistan even but why on earth did you decide on the most infamous military of the 20th century?
I also like modeling. However, I'm genuinely curious what your fascination is with WW2 German culture? Do you admire Hitler? I'm not sure I would be so comfortable showing the Nazi symbols all over my house.
The German Armed Forces of World War II remain today---as they have been for decades---The most enduring;y popular subject in the whole field of Military History. Certainly Germany preserved in it's battlefield arsenal, for longer then any other nation, echoes of a handsome traditions of an earlier age. This instinct for dignified Military splendor, combined with a talent for practical innovation, and undeniable professional excellence, has lent the traditions of the German Armed Forces an apparently unfading glamour.
@@robertmcguire5847 Thanks for the response! I understand what you are saying. The "idea" of the German Military was everything you say. Unfortunately Hitler was a raging psychopath and that same "glamorous" military killed millions of innocent people for no good reason. I also find the German Military subject matter interesting so again I do understand where you are coming from. I would not suggest you do not collect or indulge in your passion. However, I might suggest that your view of the subject may be a bit idealistic and disconnected from the evil that occurred. To idealize the Nazi symbols like the swastika, the SS and Imperial Eagle and put them "pride of place" in your home seems a bit odd. It gives the impression that you believe in what they believed in terms racial theory, jews, the final solution etc. Which you may actually believe? That's all I'm saying.
I'm concerned for you sir. Obviously your very talented, proud. Nevertheless in the current era you naively believe a benign.. hobby.. of yesterYEAR is 'protected'. My point is that going forward the political winds are blowing BOLESHEVIK. That means ANYTHING that COULD.. be considered.. sympathetic to its 'enemies' WILL BE DESTROYED. Take heed.. ☠
