I always figured tier was determined by how many prerequisite buildings are required to produce a unit. ie. Gateway>Zealot=T1, Gateway>Cybercore>Dragoon=T2, Gateway>Cybercore + Factory>Robofac>Reaver=T3. For Zerg it seems simple: Hatchery T1, Lair T2, Hive T3. Could be wrong tho 🤷♂

The best Plagues I’ve seen vs Protoss have been by Soma and Flash, they cast them constantly over and over which is the best way to do it
That was a bloody game, both blue and red. Both were just sending units to battle, die, build more, bash heads, die, build more.

and I was thinking during this game when Falcon was talking I THINK, speaking about tiers or Protoss v. Zerg and how hard it can become for Protoss with Zerg in a certain situation I would have to go back and check specs. but, the SNOW v. Soma game so graciously recasted by Falcon on here, from about nine or so days ago, graciously provided, RJB or whomever did. THAT game came to mind. NOW comparing THAT one to this one. Protoss frustrating to watch. Army constantly out of position/not attacking together. Several times his army running away while getting attacked in the heels instead of turning around and attacking. He over extended hard while in the lead and lost momentum. GG

PvZ seems to be very swingy, yes. Because it depends so much on how storms land.
and sadly for Best, even his aim was so often off. He really seemed somewhat at LEAST unfocused here. Not trying to be unkind but he seemed a little all over the place. Just somewhat, not completely, to be fair, Soma might have gotten confused as well with the chaos in those scrappy battles at points. Perplexed, a little disorganized on both sides perhaps at times.
and Falcon was right, sadly for Best, he did not even have the upper hands multiple times in the scrap battles.

as if the misery was not already bad enough. THIS ONE was SAD for the Protoss, but a unique game too. Expected considerably better out of a great player like Best. Which he HAS shown and preformed as such in the past or past cast matches. Hmmm.......

When FP mentioned those scouting overlords being worth their weight in gold, I thought... how much do overlords weigh? Since they float, if you put them on a scale it aint gonna be much xD
I think they're filled with some kinda helium. I bet they're still really bulky.
in the sources I found online it seems like the zerg overlord is around 100 ft big including the tentacles, so i guess its pretty heavy
if it floats, it's weight will be negative.

Dude im a z player and god, reaver is so annoying like especially when it kills like 10 drones i learnt to deal with them with scourges on the corners and sides

heh.......YEAH, you are right it seems, well, that is, about the Maelstroms lacking other than the zergling one and maybe a few other smaller ones I missed, could think of some cruel or sad titles for our Best but...yeah, caught some zerglings, hahaha. Might have been a few others or very small ones, but did not notice. Was kinda waiting there to see Best start unleashing some sort of MASSIVE Malestroms on Soma or frequent ones, but did not transpire. So it would appear/seem/WAS. Hmmmm.......

Thankfully this works, and allows one to post such info so FAR at least without spoiling the game for others, being respectful. Heh....have to watch my own post lengths sometimes on here and that, but grateful to be able to comment, too. And for the games. :D
SPOILERS!!!!!!!(warning), but many observations below but really a ton of game info/OPINIONS/perspectives, etc.:::::::
yeah, Best was all over the place and Soma's macro was on full display here, and those early losses for Best who seemed QUITE disorganized here. Soma had the upper hand the entire game past very, well, FAIRLY, near to mid-point, something like that, early on and in. Jeez, Best seemed disorganized, as for the Malestrom, yeah there was one on those zerglings but expected a ton more or some massive surprise play by Best. Even his one drop attempt had a marginal effect. NOT the best game for Best, who is usually pretty darn good. Crooked bowtie or something, lol. Yeah, do not know what happened with Best, and yeah, he kept pulling back and not pressing, AND his choices of units, limited himself it would appear. He did not move quickly enough on Soma's expansions and I don't know why that is, but Soma kept pouring in units and Falcon was right about the replenish capabilities for Soma. Those zealots needed more support, and sadly, I noticed, many of the numerous storms that Best used either hit only a few targets, did only moderate damage at BEST, lol, or near completely missed altogether! Best, off his game in this one? Slow, too, I mean, in the beginning, nothing necessarily WRONG with Best waiting like that to move out, as long as he did not wait too long, but then Soma started the Southern expansions too and, it was just too much to overcome, and Best also did not take a further left-side Southern expansion after the ones he had at game end. Don't know, classic Soma on display and was basically given near free reign for much of the game to expand, too. NOT the Best game for Best here. He also did not make sufficient corsairs, the zealot masses were....nice, but just did not fit this hybrid approach from Soma. I loved the massive scrappiness though, for a minute there, care or not, Soma might have gotten lost in all the chaos and back and forth, random battles everywhere. But wow, what a complicated yet at the same time obvious game. Best never really had the upper-hand. Soma might not have cared about that expansion loss, that did hurt his production, to a DEGREE, but Best could not even keep pushing very far after that. Yeah, sad game for our Best. Got to the point Soma was/SEEMED hardly worried at all, as you described in some ways, Falcon. SO many other things Best COULD have tried, but did not, and then it was becoming just too late. I will watch again later, there were a LOT of manuv. and random battles in this one, Best did not even finish off the buildings his troops were attacking sometimes, and kept pulling back and not PRESSING the initiative. He seemed....unfocused here. Interesting game indeed, Falcon, seemed Best's only strategy largely centered on zealots, storms, the Archons to a degree, and where were the massive Malestroms? Feel sorry for Best, I really would have liked to see him return some serious and even surprising blows to Soma to try and even up the conflict, though at the same time just royally impressed with Soma, when Zerg expands and amasses like that, it is SO hard to stop them. Soma HAD it once his economy was roaring and he could replenish. Very hard to stop a Zerg player like Soma, others esp. the elites, you leave them alone long enough like that. Great game. Hahaha, so much to cover in this one and I will watch it again later, this one interests me as to what Best's game, or lack thereof was, with this one. He just seemed to be all over the place, not FOCUSED. Thanks again. (maybe the game should be titled "Not the BEST game" or something lol). And ANOTHER commentor on here pointed out sniping his OWN observers more than once? Yeah.....SAD day for Best, this game was sad, too, no question, for Best fans. Yeah, WHAT was going on with him this match? The lack of focus, organization, unit choice, pressing the offensive and any advantages or wins he DID have, etc. etc. etc. SO much to unpack in this one, yet at the same time, a clear win for Soma, though some minor to moderate blows from Best, but weak to moderate follow-ups. Will watch again, I will have to to hopefully learn and try and discern more, in this complex mess and all the scrap battles, but thank you, even more could probably, no DEFINITELY could be said, haha. Could analyze this one for a WHILE, even though Soma clearly won so much of it to the final win. And yes, the plagues, too, did not help Best, further problems for him and dilemmas even in scrap, unit retention, etc. The early building and upgrade losses, it just goes on and on for poor Best in this one. Hard as he tired or.....er.....lol. Love both players though, would say classic Soma, but maybe he was confused as well, BUT more focused and maybe determined, surprised, who knows, lol. Peace. /. ...> THIS was a strange one, even though classic and GREAT job by Soma on display. Falcon was right, checked all the boxes and got it done, even if scrappy at times. . /. .
