Some people don't know, but these riots in Los Santos after the mission Riot after Tenpenny being absolved of his crimes were actually based in the real Los Angeles riots in 1992
Walking around Los Santos during these riots is the craziest shit ever, normaly by my playthro's I would just use cars to travel, but last time I finished the game I decided to get to the missions on foot. The random people shooting at you, people fighting on the streets and the exploding cars, police helicopters hovering among the tall smoke trails in the sky, I've never given much atention to that part of the game but damn now I can surelly say that playing gta sa during the riots in one of the most unique experiences in video games ever.
I live in Peru, about a week ago, the riots started here in the capital due to a political issue, now when I come home from my classes at night, I go upstairs to my roof, and I can hear exactly the same sounds as in this video, it's terrifying and surprising at the same time... how realistic this becomes once you live it...
Yes but its amazing how they got this riot noise though for GTA san Andreas the Riot noise sounds perfectly in the game then you will actually hear it like in cartoons or tv shows because its different then the video game one
I said these riots sounds are pretty good, only one thing which is shame. It's that at the end, in the cutscene of "Tenpenny die by an accident" if you pay attention, the sounds of riots are no longer the same. We hear emergency vehicles sirens, rioters screams (The same sounds of the normal riots sound ) the police who try to calm down the rioters with the megaphone of the patrol car. (because at the beginning when Tenpenny stops CJ he use a megaphone from the car) if this would have been added. It would have been more realistic without counting the cars exploding, we hear them in the cutscene too. Here you go, still thanks for this video!
Something about these ambience always freaked me out, especially when i was taking over ballas & vagos territories (and since pedestrians seem to vanish everytime theres a gang war) whenever i was waiting for the next wave for a few seconds there was no one except some dead rival gang members and the riot screams, it just made me very uneasy tbh
I always take over the gang territory 100% before starting “Riot”, so I don’t have to worry about defending anything later. The cars catch fire quickly in the riots and it becomes more dangerous to fight the other gangs.
I used to start the Los Desperados mission and recruit as many homies as I can. Then I just walk around on foot with Caesar and the homies. Its really cool to walk around with that many bodyguard during the riot

All it needs is the sounds of the cars exploding and police and fire sirens
In the last cutscene in the game you can hear explosions and police sirens
This is where the game just turned very tense and even a bit creepy. It's also fun to decapitate people who are fighting or stealing lol
Yes, I liked it better when cj was in las venturas or los santos at the beginning of the game
Nice video showing the riot effects what happens in the game when the riot noise is activated
Oh yeah the Definitive Editon sounds on riot is missing. Except people lotting stuff and the building is on fire as well.
Yeah, I noticed...
7:40 Kind of broke my heart to be honest...
I was just about to ask about this video because I'm currently playing the Riot Mission myself😂

I play this along with the siren sound effect at the same time.

I can imagine that Carmen Sandiego’s crooks took part in the 1992 LA Riots, any riot would give any lawless looter an opportunity.
