Hi Manoj, Even if we do Shradham in Gaya, Kasi or any other kshetram, every amavasai tharpanam and yearly Shradham has to be peformed on their thithi at your home or hometown. Doing Shradham in Gaya is onething every hindu has to do for his/her family once atleast in lifetime. Even if you do pitru shradham at your home, the priest will tell you mantram as if you are doing in Gaya. Please plan a visit to Gaya next time.
