The staff in the boulangerie were lovely. Had a giggle about the cheese and the 13 places with the same name 😂 Lovely church, we like to look around the villages and enjoy the local places 🚐👍🏻💙 Trev n Sue
"The Roquefort Files" (I LOVED that show!) and Trish's dubious look into the camera on the splash screen cracked me up! I'd have said that Trish is always right when you were talking about about architectural periods. but then she didn't take the leftover pizza (it's for breakfast! you eat it cold, and it's delicious!) AND said that blue cheese is not good, so she's clearly not always right! :) Lovely video. Thanks for taking us along.
We loved that show as well, James Garner, we thought it was a good pun, but I don't think many people got it. Yep, pizza ans blue cheese proves that I am right sometimes 👍🐾💕
Great idea having the diary! I’m of the age where I remember The Rockford Files with the lovely James Garner! I’m not a fan of smelly cheese but that pizza looked delicious! Safe travels!
Another enjoyable episode. Like Tricia, I'm not a Blue Cheese lover. A good strong tasty cheddar, crusty bread and some red onion is more my style. Happy and safe travels. Looking forward to the next episode.
Thanks George, I also love cheddar, we asked if they had it at a market and the guy said no, they only use that for cooking in France. I think our cheese in the UK is every bit as good as theirs👍💕🐾
Hello You Three - greetings from Poland What a shame you picked the wrong Roquefort. At least you found the cheese you were looking for Mike. A lovely video, very foody based, which made me feel hungry.
Been following you for a while now….love your style of vlog, your presentation and content has inspired us in our own campervan vlog….look forward to your travels north.
We really enjoyed this video. Made my French wife scratch her head for a bit, before realising that it wasn't the right Roquefort. I didn't have a clue where the "real" place was, even if I enjoy that cheese (with more of a preference for creamier Saint Agur... Please don't ask me where that is! LOL). Bonne route!
@@MikeandTriciaOotnAboot We once stayed at a converted priory in a village called Croutes, near Camembert. Croute in English is crust. Like the white crust on a Camembert. It was supposed to be a romantic weekend. But it was in February, the heating didn't work and so we had to sleep fully clothed with our coats on. 😂 We also ate at a restaurant where all the courses were made with Camembert in, even the dessert (Camembert ice cream).
Glad you found some Roquefort cheese in a town with the name but didn't produce any cheese!!!!! that bridge looked very interesting, and you both certainly got through a huge lunch!!!! Loved the church and inside it was really awesome... thanks for sharing it all. Lol
Hi Diana, yes it was a huge lunch, we don't normally have so much at lunch time but we were hungry that day. I got my cheese so a result at the end of the day 👍💕🐾
Fab video loved the area looked lovely. You both should get a medal for that lunch looked yum yum. As you said Mike unlucky 13. I’m a fan of the blue cheese and strangely my Coatbridge girl not a fan also! Looking forward to the next one, safe journey as always from Coatbridge.
I'm with Tricia on the YUK re the smelly cheese 🤮🤢🤣 both Dad n Hubby love it !! What a beautiful church - would have liked to have seen more of it. Loving your adventures in France 🦋
Today some authentic Roqueforts are made in Corsica, but all still undergo final aging in the limestone caves of Roquefort near Toulouse in southern France, where the cool and humid atmosphere promotes growth of the mold Penicillium roqueforti.
Great videos! Im looking to use camping car parks like you in France. Could you please tell me if you have come across any that don’t have electric hook up?
Hi Janice, no, all the ones that we have used had electric hook up, and you don't need an adapter now, you can just plug your cable straight in like on a uk site.
Gorgeous chapel, can't believe the left over pizza wasn't taken back for supper in the campervan, eat cold with salad or reheat in the Ridge Monkey 😄🚐❤️
Oh my gosh pizza makes the best leftovers ever! Here in the US we eat it for breakfast. Even cold! 🤗 I can't believe you wasted that delicious homemade pie!
I’m with you Tricia re blue cheese I can just about have it with a steak sauce but couldn’t eat it on its own I can feel your disappointment Mike - do you want the numpty coaster lol
Talking about Arbroath Smokies. I had an argument with my brother in law, that in the highlands of Scotland and even further South, you couldn't buy Cod from a proper fish n' chip shop. I personally have never found one yet that sells cod n' chips, only Haddock, because that's all the fish in fish n' chip shops, that Scots eat ?
Hi Mike and Tricia I’m really enjoying this series of vlogs involving the new van My Wellhouse is now 7 years old and I’m thinking of changing to something like yours I have a number of questions Would it be best to put them in the comments or would you prefer me to dm you and if so how Thx
Nothing wrong with a bit of mold isn’t it penicillin 🤣🤣 so antibiotics on cheese it’s a win win thank you both well done and good luck 👍👍👍🏴🏴🇬🇧🇨🇦🦢
Well that was a bit of a disappointment but with a side of hilarity. There's this thing called the Internet and a tool called Google and its quite useful for finding out about places, such as Roquefort 😂😂😂😂. So where is the Roquefort that you wanted to visit? I have to say the lunch looked amazing but the quantity put me off my shreddies. Happy travels. BTW we finally have summer back home 😊
Well yes maybe I should have looked it up but I just assumed that Roquefort was the home of Roquefort cheese but no, it's one of the other Roquefort's Maybe we will head to Camembert instead 🤣👍🐾💕
The staff in the boulangerie were lovely. Had a giggle about the cheese and the 13 places with the same name 😂 Lovely church, we like to look around the villages and enjoy the local places 🚐👍🏻💙 Trev n Sue
Yes the staff were really good, they thought it quite funny that we thought the cheese was from there. 👍💕🐾

Ha ha, I was nearly throwing my dummy out the pram 🤣
Loved the video mike and Trisha you both look like your having a great time hello Kiera happy travels guys ❤
Hi Mike, yes thanks it's been fab, we love just following our noses a bit and deciding the night before where to head👍🐾💕

We remember the Rochford files very well, not sure how many people got the pun, but you clearly did👍💕🐾🤣
Haha, great story. Looking forward to the next 12 episodes of the Search for the Right Roquefort 😂
Maybe we should head for Camembert instead, surely there is just one 🤣

Really enjoyed that, so funny. X
Thanks Helen, we had a good laugh actually making this one👍💕🐾🤣
Hi Tricia and Mike, after the huge lunch how could you eat that bread and cheese. Great video, see you in the next one.
It was no problem, several hours had passed, and I have been known to fairly pack it away 😅
Eyes bigger than your belly, I know the feeling well. Never been known to let anything go to waste, it usually goes to my waist.
Very entertaining. Thank you.
Glad that you liked it, thanks for the feedback 👍🐾💕

Sorry about the cheese mix up would have fun to see the cave. Still good video safe travels.

Now if it had been pepperoni pizza it would have come back to the van in an instant 😋
I would have taken that pizza! A good pizza is delicious hot or cold 🍕😁
If it had been pepperoni then it would have been in my rucksack, no hesitation 🤣👍🐾💕
@@MikeandTriciaOotnAboot 🍕🤣
The place to go for the Roquefort cheese is the cheese caves at Roquefort-sur-Soulzon - about 230 miles east of where you were!
Ah, right, thanks. Next time.👍

There are a some that do cod, which for me is by far the best fish for a proper fish 'n 'chips. Unfortunately they are pretty few and far between.

You're having a grand old time, the three of you - and Snoopy. Going wherever the map draws you. Quite right too! YAM xx
