Positive Grid - I just installed couple of amp sims along with BIAS FX. I wanted to check which one will give me the best tone the quickest. I performed the test using real Mesa 2x12 cabinet. I struggled with all of the simulator to get the decent tone but when I run BIAS FX I just headed quickly for the Mesa MK II loading Paul Masvidal crunch preset, disabled the cab sim and there you go! I was ready to rock. What I like about the BIAS FX is that it is realistic in the terms of the setup. I set the knobs on the pedals and amps as I would on a real amplifier whereas in other products I always have to come up with some crazy settings like presence/treble all the way up or down to make it sound good. BIAS FX is not only sounding realistic, the tone setup process is realistic as well.

Ive had so many issues with amp simulators and tone its crazy, it takes so much mixing and mastering to get what im tryn to hear out of a decent vst, amplitube isnt even that great and ive put money into the extra packs for it

Whenever anyone asks me what amp should I get for home use I always say "you already have it, it's your phone".
The Bias and Jamup app blows away anything I've used for home playing for sure. It gets more time than my EVH, the single best music purchase I have made. I know I'm just some guy in a comments section, not a pro musician or anything but it really is worth your time to check this or the apps out. X

by the way, there's a video with some guy I don't know talking about how he gets his tone for his bands album. He put a tube boost in front of a screamer pedal. This does wonders for that 'wider' crunch tone. Was thinking you guys should put together a video about that, showing people that the theory of just a screamer in front of an amp isn't the only way to really get massive tone. I run a ligth red comp after the noise gate into the tube boost into the positive grid eq boost to keep it tight but massive through a tweaked mesa. Then again, I find most people don't seek the type of tone I use. They always have a 'thinner' outcome for their tones. Maybe I listened to too much Metallica growing up, I don't know lol

What do you mean 2 channel? how is that work?
most usually have 2 input channels anyway ( for stereo ) for the guitar you will just use 1 of those inputs of course

Guitar just sounded the same all the way through. A bit boring to me. Modern metal is just chug the same 2-3 chords while changing the octave throughout the song.....so yup, BORRRRRRING.
