Zombies multiply and outbreak based on AI difficulty and game round number. Outbreaks are random, but the higher the troop count in a territory, the higher number. Plus, Zombies convert a certain % of defeated troops to Zombies, too. However, there is a cap on the total number of zombies in relation to living troops on the board. As soon that cap is reached, they grow only slowly (+1, +2 or +3) untill they fall under the cap again. In a nutshell, you cant defeat Expert Zombies in the End game unless you have progressive card bonus. This is what i learned about the zombos Lord Jerome
Also a thing you can use against the is they attack territory's alphabetically. So In some instances you can corner them and leave them there until the end of the game
So in risk when you turn in 3 cards you get +2 for any territory you control. Which is still in place here. However, if the territory on your cards is zombie controlled the zombies get +2 on those territories when you or your opponents turn in cards. This can trigger you getting rushed if they get a +2 on a card turn in, and they deploy even more on their turn before you get to act.
Jerome really should've just stayed in the bottom continent and stocked up his borders, going after the middle island was a bit greedy especially because he didn't take Stead out completely in one run, he focused too much on trying to keep a hold of it and forgetting about his original bonus.
I saw someone else say this on another video, but I think the zombies gain more troops based on how many troops are on the board, so stocking up troops isn't necessarily the best idea Edit: nvm dropsy said it like 2 min after I posted this and at 51:55 they can infect even if they aren't dead. It has happened in Jerome's videos before
Yeah because as you saw only Dropsy and Cappy was really fighting them, while Jerome and Steve were stocking up in defense and as well as the other two when they got a foothold on the bottom continent.
I wonder if the zombies in Risk: Global Domination are using the 666 rule, where each time a player rolls three sixes when they attack, the number of zombies generated is doubled. The pace of the zombies really does slow down a lot when the team is only taking down a few areas per round.
For your group's haphazard gameplay it would be much better to put on balanced blitz (right now you have the settings for true random, which is more of an advanced setting that is better when players use strategy). Also, you should go into the settings and turn off the attack animations that slow the game down, and click the button to allow you to see the total troops of other players (the bar on the right hand side)
Usually when the zombies do a mega spawn it’s because they have very little soldiers relative to everyone else’s. If you are the last player remaining and they do this. Most likely you had enough soldiers to defeat the zombies on that turn but instead played too conservatively and wanted to box them in more slowly than the mode will tolerate. This will especially happen if your thinking about attacking multiple zombie mobs and fortifying back to safety without finishing them off. My best advice. Close in on the zombies, but do not slaughter zombies unless your ending the game that round. Let the zombies have large numbers just corner them and end them in 1 round when you can.
That is a very good eye, the game is actively cheating with the zombies. EDIT: comparing the pictures because I thought it was maybe just delayed fortifying, it seems the ship to the far left also acquired a +2
The zombies aren't even that strong, You're just playing too passively so the game lasts longer and the zombies get stronger the longer the game lasts.
@@zangvang Well yes I can understand that, But they really shouldn't complain about the zombies being too strong if they aren't playing the game mode properly
@@uc4490 There were plenty of times early on that cappy dropsy or Steve could've just won because if they took advantage and backstabbed the other party it wouldn't have lasted so long, Because they were to believe super alliance is the way to win in zombies but super alliance just makes it harder
You cant really play passive in zombies. they get harder the time goes on, so eradicate them early. then deal with the random outbreak here and there, and you are set. and if you want to play passive, then you need to give the zombies a large area, as that ensures that they cant attack that much. for example, if the zombs have 10 territories, and they get 400 troops, then each territory gets 40 each. if they had 40 tho, then each would only get 10
So the way the zombies might work and this is a theory is the territories that they own determines how many they get, and they revive died people that are in the area too
they only won Zombies when they had progressive cards on. Because literally the zombies get stronger the longer the game goes on. at the start, it is calculated by how many human troops died, but near the end, it just becomes a % of the total number of troops. Also i think that it is dependend on how many territories in different contintents they have, so if they have a lot they will get something acceptable like 40, but if they are corraled into one side, they will just trigger the % one and get 400. I personally like to think that normal human troops are generate dvia birth, while zombie troops are generated both via birth and conversion
Here is how zombie works it get 50% of dead troops and is it’s an odd number like 3 they get 2 so it rounds up they also get bonuses no cards but territory troops and that’s how they work
When I watch these I wonder how is stead so incapable of playing this at first I thought oh must be hard then I played it and it’s so easy… someone explain this to me?
Jerome will you do a yugioh series please doesn’t matter if it is IRL or a Minecraft version, etc I just want to see you play it And if possible make it a series
If you do this you will pay dearly. The hardest zombie game you will play is when you take out a large portion of the zombies on turn 1. They will spawn super large numbers randomly later. They will infect your territory randomly and when they infect they prefer large stacks. So they’ll get to benefit from your largest army. This is a good way to lose any continent bonus. I’ve lost games where I was clearly in the #1 lead because a player hunted the zombies, and my perfectly defended continent was infected and slammed by a tidal wave of zombies. You cannot defeat the zombies without defeating other players first they always come back.
Well had Jerome not closed the game he for sure would've been eliminated, but oh man I would've loved to have seen the other 3 come back from that catastrophe.
Kind seemed like they got more troops when you kill more of them becuse on your fortifying turns they ere only getting like 50-60 but on those turns where you guys did big attacks they suddenly had 300-400
that was because they were corraled and hit hard. i have a theory, that whenever the zombies are confined to one continent, they just get a % of the total human troops on the board
Here is a random series idea with Ssundee and Jerome since they are mainly on the topic of pirates. It would be InsaneCraft X TrollCraft II X One Piece. Let your imaginations run wild on this one.
Zombies is brilliant you're all just noobs. It's best played on big complicated maps, like pangaea, and on true random. No alliances. Use a 90 second timer so you have time for manual and percentage roles. Risk is a dice game. Learn how to use dice. Theres a lot of "grandmasters" online who's "mastery" would get tested on an actual board game with dice. Some tips... -If you wipe the zombie out they will spawn taking over one of a random player's large armies. In a game where they're being attacked try to split your armies up. -in the end game try not to trade with the zombies. Take land but do not give. You get better roles against zombies than actual player. If you must only fortify a round to be safe, do so. Manual role zombie armies that round without taking the territory
Jerome if you were reading this I know where you live also know where Cappy B lives and dropsy ask Cappy B about gamer con and orplayer I'm always watching in Houston Texas and day in Texas we're always watching

Upvote so they see
Yes
I think its hard but you can depending on the map
Also a thing you can use against the is they attack territory's alphabetically. So In some instances you can corner them and leave them there until the end of the game
Kid wrote an SA
Im surprised jerome even knew that was a big number! Those gerbils are hard at work
Such a useless comment 👎
Lol
True
I love how this is the second time that Jerome and Dropsy both asked the other to attack the yellow player at the same time.
Really thanks
27:05 zombies literally gain 2 troops out of nowhere (not even their turn). Watch the 6 on the bottom right turn into an 8

i genuinely feel bad for stead, we need more stead appreciation
If the man actually knew how to play he’d be god

Staying up till midnight on a school night when I need to wake up at 6 yaaaaay
When zombies become overpowered:
Also love the video as always.
Jerome gives us minecraft monopoly and risk in the same day...... I hear dropsy screams already
Stead sounded so depressed after jerome kicked him out of the middle island
Can you do risk weekly because its great and actually fun and its hilarious when someone that ISNT Jerome or the zambies wins

48:53 watch the 6 turn to an 8. Idk if that happens other times but I saw it happen right there.
11:50 which is why the jerome formula has not changed in years.
Jerome, I need more examples of how "interesting" it is to play with stead ;)
This is great but can we get more games where the 5 or 6 of you strictly play each other (no zombies).
Usually when the zombies do a mega spawn it’s because they have very little soldiers relative to everyone else’s. If you are the last player remaining and they do this. Progressive cards are a necessity when playing against the zombies. If they get large numbers of troops, then so should everybody else
everybody: *kills less soldiers so zombies get less*
zombies: you think that can stop me? *pulls out 220 troops*.
i just love the fact that the zombies gained 2 extra troops on steves turn, watch the 20 next to the 40 of dropsy at 43:36...like bruh
That is a very good eye, the game is actively cheating with the zombies.
EDIT: comparing the pictures because I thought it was maybe just delayed fortifying, it seems the ship to the far left also acquired a +2
But but but why
Pls help
You can tell Cappy has been watching Uncle Roger lol
The zombies aren't even that strong, You're just playing too passively so the game lasts longer and the zombies get stronger the longer the game lasts.
Well they have to make it long enough to be a vid
To win the game, you need to take out all players and the zombies so naturally it would take a long time.
@@zangvang Well yes I can understand that, But they really shouldn't complain about the zombies being too strong if they aren't playing the game mode properly

Yes, but where's the fun in that?
@@GoldfishEmpire the fun in that is when your 70 troops territory gets infected
Ok, 400 is alot, but 6,428 zombies is... just a bit worse
So the way the zombies might work and this is a theory is the territories that they own determines how many they get, and they revive died people that are in the area too
Jerome the reason that zombies get so many troops is because they don't have meny territories

48:55 to 49:00 the boat next to upper dropsy changed feom 6 to 8
Yeah it was suspicious when everything was going good and it was at the end of the video but that amount of zombies haven't appeared yet in the video
This game mod is perfectly fine you just need to get good
Oh my god, that’s all the ending brought to mind
You should do a magic the Gathering tournament with the buddies
I love the Bohemian Rhapsody is this the real life or is it just fantasy at the very beginning
The zombies are crazy suprise they're still standinh after the zombies got 377 trops. But after the 408. There's no chance.

Hey, jerome was wondering if you will do some ark when ark2 cones out or somewhere in the future
The saying goes "If the tables never turn, flip them over"
if they were paying attention they would have beaten the zombies right at the start

Looks like Stead was the lucky one
Well had Jerome not closed the game he for sure would've been eliminated, but oh man I would've loved to have seen the other 3 come back from that catastrophe.
Looks like the Caribbean to me
Once in risk i trapped a player in a corner vs 50 troops and kept on farming him till i got 1012 troops
Stead seems like he would be better at Couch co-op but got stuck online
“Life is good”
+377 Zombies
I literally died when i say the number.this is my spirit
Monopoly and Risk in the same day!
i'm at 19:40 going to call steve kills jerome this time
